She passed in 2014. So sad. Lives forever in our hearts. She is now sipping Sangria on the beach in Shangri La along with Elvis and Michael Jackson and all the other dead famous people
Shirley Temple was cute as a kid, pretty as a teenager and beautiful as an adult. That is very rare!! Not to mention extremely talented. We need more Shirley Temple's in this crazy world. ❤
This was always my favourite Shirley Temple movie when I was a kid. It's still as good rewatching it years later. She was super cute at this age, and the whole cast in this one was great.
I found the most sad and particularly my favorite is Wee Willie Winky I cry every time I watch that one I just wish that it had been in color instead of the yellowish color like her other movies they remastered bluebird from black and white two color they remastered most of them except for Wee Willie Winky the only color you got is the yellowish tone and still my favorite one though I never cared for the movies when she's older like I prefer the movies when she was little but as soon as she reached her teenage years I don't know her acting just I didn't like it
This along with Captain January are my two favorite Shirley Temple films. I saw Shirley Temple in the 1980s in San Francisco when I was working there. I did not have the chance to speak with her. A shame .
if shirley temple is in it... i've seen it and i'll watch it again and again and i love them all. but this do certainly stand out and the little colonel for comedy, heidi for drama...
That Kid had it all... She doesn't sing like kids today.(2018) But I'll listen to her sing any day! I haven't seen any child star come close to her talent... A Little Marvel she was... and Thank you so much for sharing ANDREW MEDICO
one of my newfound favorite shirley temple films along with the little colonel...this movie is so sweet and John Boles was such a handsome , talented, and sweet guy and I loved how it turned out in the end....they sure don't make movies like this anymore!
@@katranjam5920I too cry when seeing Shirley Temple in movies or public appearances in news reels, she really touched the soul with her sweet innocence. 😊
Sweet! Sweet! I continue to be in awe of Shirley’s acting, dancing, singing abilities. She was so young. How did she memorize all of that dialogue. Shirley will forever be one of the most talented adorable child movie stars.
She said later after growing up that she hated the curls because it was a long and painful process every morning. I guess they were/are popular with audiences tho' I don't really care about them that much. I suppose they are cuter than anything else. I'm a man and don't really know much about that kind of stuff.
It was really great that Shirley got to perform with many actors that she knew from film to film. It probably made her career seem more like a family than a profession.
Actually, she was treated (and paid) badly during most of her career. Quite horribly for much of the early stuff. Those curls weren't natural or pleasant for one thing. Google the words: Baby Burlesks ice box
It really annoys me when adults do impersonations of her they have to act so silly. Shirley never did that; the worse was Bonnie Franklin's on One Day At A Time!
Me too ..He was gorgeous sweet & talented.....He retired " in my home state of Texas...i read. In my aunts home town...i think He was married to same woman for years!!
I loved watching Shirley Temple movies, with my mother, on TV. Back in the 70's, I lived in Honduras at the time. All the dialog was dubbed in Spanish, except for the singing. She is one person that I admired most in the world, I loved her.💕❤
@@Faithandlive492 not sure . But it’s very likely 😔. She was really a cutie when she was younger. No wonder the world loved her . They can never recreate her

that is very true i didn't mean it in discriminating way i just thought that people didn't have to try do hard for beauty back then and yur o points are very true.
Garyt Bradbury. Not everyone dressed that way. You have to remember that this was during The Depression. Most ppl in real life wore rags. Hollywood dressed these actors and actresses...
It's not about the looks at all; it's not even about the reality of the Depression. It's all about how an extremely talented little girl, supported by about 75 to a 100 film professionals, made you feel with their product. Very few folks looked like this back then; hell, very few folks look like this today. But when a nation was down and out, it was films like this that made people feel a lot better about their lives.......... That America is gone now; but not necessarily the need to feel a lot better about our lives........... Perhaps if we faced life with the same amount of optimism as these folks of the past did, we'd have less whining and crying, bitching and moaning. For all their faults, there is one thing that the generations of the 30's and 40's weren't; they weren't crybabies, and they weren't lazy............and most of all, they weren't selfish.
Yeah a little sure also It’s odd how He adopted two ladies and ends up Marrying one... like isn’t Mary idk 15? There wasn’t enough context in this film but ehh it’s fine

This is one of my favorites movies of "Shirley Temple." Shirley is sure a talented little girl which is no surprise since she saved Fox Motion Pictures from bankruptcy. No wonder she is an amazing child!

One of my Shirley Temple movies, along with Rebecca Of Sunnybrook Farm. Grew up watching her movies, my mother as well. She got to see the movies at the movie theater. She was loved in Honduras as well. I actually have an original Shirley Temple doll, that was my mom's, from 1936.
One thing I love about Shirley Temple movies besides the singing, dancing, and cuteness is that the adults don’t continually answer and explain everything when a child makes a comment. It’s okay to let a child wonder about things he or she isn’t ready to understand! It’s also unnecessary to correct every single little thing; sometimes just let it ride!
I love this movie so much and Shirley was so adorable☺️ It’s just Mary and Mr. Morgan’s interactions were very disturbing… she seemed like a young teenage girl while he’s a GROWN middle aged man..

Annie the musical was actually based on the Little Orphan Annie comics, which started in 1924. :)
