You don't need the adapter, mate. It says handbrake on the back of the base next to the pedal socket. 😅

This might be a stupid question - but do you _have_ to use the pedal-thingy-adapter? I mean can't I just connect the R12 directly into my wheel base?

Great Video! Question...Why do I need to install the pedal and handbrake adapter to the fanatec wheelbase if the fanatec wheelbase already have a Handbrake port in it????

Clubsport brake works perfectly with logitec on xbox one or xbox series if you use the drivehub adapter.
How?? I have the drivehub, g920 and clubsport... the handbrake isnt working at all. I keep trying to map it but nothing happens
@@hooniganruiz5613 have you updated the firmware on your drivehub and the fanatec usb adapter? Both need to be updated

I didn’t understand how you connected the Logitech base and the fanatec handbrake to the xbox at the same time, where did you stick it? to another free usb port on xbox console?
Please can you do a video on more general compatibility between fanatec products and Xbox? I have some experience with the CSL Elite and McLaren V2 wheel on Xbox Series X and also PS4, and the difference is night and day!

If I was a pc player I would prob look into a cheapy myself. On Xbox thats a No Go because I have to connect all the peripherals to my wheelbase and they need to be compatible…

@@lillekenatnek195 none of the cheap Chinese ones are recognised by Xbox. Xbox licensing fees are $$$

great video but just a quick question before i buy the handbreak. I was wondering how come the handbreak doesn't go into the port labelled handbreak on the back of the wheel base?
Yes it can, my bad for not mentioning was just using with what came in the packaging.

Why dont you plug the handbrake directly into the wheel base ?
a lot of sim racing products are proprietary. so logitech parts will only work logitech, same with fanatec in this case. This guy was using a logitech wheel and pedal setup with the fanatec shifter so it needed the usb adapter which he shows in the video.

Does it work with g923 on ps5?
Hey. I also have the csl dd an handbreak but i cant use it on forza horizon 5 on xbox series x. I put the handbreak directly into the wheel base without the Adapter. Does it work with the Adapter which you use in 4:23 on xbox series x while playing forza horizon 5?
No unfortunately the handbreak doesn't work on the Xbox wirh Forza Horizon 5 even with the adapter.

@@Spongi1889 its not a Fanatec from what I can tell as it works with Forza 4 and Dirt....looks like Forza 5 needs a fix.

@@GeekStreet That's understandable :) AFAIK that splitter is needed for CSW and maybe old CSL Elite Wheel bases because there was no handbrake port on them. :)

Yeah I wanna know this too, I found one on Amazon that’s compatible but it’s like $260
For G920 its only compatible on PC
Just purchased this item from fanatic came with a faulty lead when I asked them to replace it under warranty they said I would have to pay £17 considering I spent £900 with them I was surprised so I do not recommend this product
why do you use an adapter, when you have a direct input for the handbrake, isn't it a bit stupid to use an adapter for something you have, I'm only talking about the first steering wheel.
Either option works I just wanted to show with all the accessories in the packaging.

ok, I understand your idea, but why, since there are already two such slots pre-installed on the steering wheel itself, it would be great if the same adapter was used elsewhere for another steering wheel, and not for one that already has two such slots installed there, I don't hate you but what is for the other steering wheel is a better option for logitech than for fanatek

Any types of handbrake/ shifter you’d be able to use as long as the wheel is made by the same company. Like for lots of accessories available i suggest you go for fanatec but logitech isnt bad either. But if you’re trying to mix and match different set ups then you wouldnt be able to do it on consoles only pc
