“that nice, interesting jack daniels flavor” ah yes, like rubbing alcohol, fire, and fist fighting in the parking lot
🎶"Fist Fight, Fist Fight, Fist fight in the parking lot!"🎶
That's why we love it! Taste like childhood....and college......and our twenties.....and now.... Ok maybe don't listen to my opinions on alcohol 😉
This is a fun comment thread.
Took a while to sink in that Ole Jack wasn't anybody's friend. Nowadays, and especially with all the crafted whiskey out there, I'll drink anything BUT JD. Plus, I drink for enjoyment, and less for effect.
@@geoffreytudor5674 Who drinks ethanol for enjoyment? xD All alcohol tastes like absolute garbage (unless it's mixed with other non alcoholic drinks) and it's way to unhealthy to not drink it for the only reason people enjoy it....a good buzz
Oh naaaaaah! You know it’s good when it feels like water 😮💨
it drinks like water, no burn, easy to drink.
@@Brewzle easy to end up blacked out naked on the road lmao
@@sos8992 that’s the goal tho
Since when does whiskey feel like water? Every time I drink neat whisky it feels like drinking the devils piss
@@michaelrunde4262 you drinking the bottom barrel whiskey my friend
there's no burn... flutters his eyes while tearing up...
I needed this comment 🤣
i was hoping someone said it. cause i fa show seen his face struggle to finish that sentence lol
So the reason that it is called the Sinatra Select is that they wanted to try to recreate the Jack Daniels recipe from the days that Frank loved it. They tried to make Jack Daniels as Frank had loved and drank it, piecing together the old recipe and manufacturing process. Personally, I think they succeeded, it's fantastic.
Yeah the Jack Daniels recipe hasn’t always been the same. When Frank Sinatra was drinking. They’ve diluted the alcohol since. So even though the Sinatra Select was made well after Sinatra, it is the recipe Sinatra drank which he loved so much.
I'm also pretty sure Sinatra estate can still approve the use of his name.
You've tried the whiskey from back then?
@@PotatoeSnow mhmm... beating your wife,
Good ol' days mate
Someone needs to find an unopened bottle of JD from the time period and compare it to Sinatra Select.
We make the grooved barrels for Sinatra select at the cooperage. I was suprised at how removing part of the char in the barrel would change the flavor so much.
🤔
"It's like drinking water" lol mans was about to cry.
Facts
Off a sip too not even a shot lmao
@@dannymedina1687 that's how you are supposed to drink lmao
Fr "it doesn't even burn" as he chokes and winces like it burned
Watch his facial expressions for the entire video. He doesn't do anything special when he sips the whiskey, he just generally looks autistic.
I'll have to keep this one in mind for when I'm shopping for whiskey next time. I like to drink it neat as a nightcap, so something that goes down smooth without being boring would be quite pleasant.
it's definitely a good one
Try it first. In my opinion they oaked the heck out of it (they even cut grooves inside the barrel to increase the wood to whisky contact).
@@NDN_FTR as long as it doesn't get too tannic and astringent then I'm fine with a lot of wood flavor. I love ripe pu'erh tea, whose primary flavor notes are wood.
@@mndlessdrwer what’s this tea you talk about?
"Lagavulin" or "Coal Ila" my friend. Dont mess with that thin Jacky.
Great review TJ, as a fan of Sinatra I have been eyeballing this bottle on the shelf ever since the first time I saw it on base. First time I saw it, it was between 165 and 170 on sale, then it didn't go on sale for a while and it was around that 185 range and I just couldn't get myself to pull the trigger. Last month I found it on sale for 150 out the door and grabbed it. Going to crack it on a special occasion, and really looking forward to it. Cheers buddy.
awesome! I hope you enjoy it.
150 what?
@@GarthKlaus us
I was shocked how expensive it was I tried it at my local casino when they had a whiskey tasting I liked it but I saw it at specs and it was over 150 dollars my jaw dropped
@@NorthWestBourbon$150 USD?!? I was hoping you were from another country and this bottle of jack would be $50 here in the states lol
Always great to watch brewzle keep it going brother.
I had never heard of this before. Thanks for sharing!
I love these shorts. You do an awesome job sir
His tone says he didn't wanna like it as much as he did 😆
I need to try this! My family works for Jack Daniels in Tennessee for well over 14yrs! I've been inside the distillery more than once! Very awesome how they make it!

I use to work at Jack Daniels earlier this year. All what it is is old number 7 cut with a little less water. All what you’re paying for is the bottle. The bottle is crystal. The department where I use to work was bottling, it would take everyone who was working that line in special pack 4-5 hours to get the bottles “perfect” before they would run the line and put them in boxes.
i watch these shorts confused as to how the hell you can distinguish the “flavors”, cause all the time that i drank whiskey or bourbon it just burnt and tasted like ass to me, but non the less it’s still super impressive seeing you explain the flavors or scents in each type of whiskey and bourbon
Throw a blind taste test at these so called experts and watch what happens.
Booze is not meant to be categorized like wines...
Tasting and drinking are 2 different things. At least in my experience.
My opinion: if you like JD, just get Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel Barrel Proof instead. It’s way cheaper and way better.
“This is like drinking water”
Yeah if you’re an alcoholic
Right?? This guy, Club Dirty, and that one dude that mixes his drinks with random weird sh** are straight up alcoholics lmfao.
Now we know its going to give an average person liver failiure
You dont have to be an alcoholic to enjoy a good drink. Go to a bar or buy a decent bottle of liquor one day and you'll see
"Hey, Dad. Do we got any Jack Daniels?"
"No, son. But we do have Jordan Nathaniels"
Whenever I hear American "whiskey experts" who like JD I NERLY dimiss them off right. And I'm not a pretentious whisky guy by any means but JD is just repugnant. But that's just me.

So freaking true which is why I love your channel. Incredibly honest reviews of literally everything. 👌
Fun fact: His original distillery was zoned number 7. Once the government rezoned they changed it to a different number but his already established customer did not recognize the new number right away. So labeling reflected Old no.7 so people would know it was his
Bro this shit sneaks up on you like crazy bro it’s crazy😂🔥
I'm definitely going to have to get a bottle of this. I used to drink a lot of Jack Daniels in my early twenties but these days I don't drink as much and I prefer something better. My wife on the other hand will always be a Jack Daniels girl so maybe this is one we can enjoy together.
Does it taste nutty? Like butterscotch?
Jack Daniels is my favorite whisky, because it's easy and cheap. Wherever you go, they have Jack. It is cheap on whatever bar or restaurant. They don't need to serve it in a fancy manner. I like that. It's the beer of whiskies. Easy to drink, no one bats an eye when you order it. And it tastes pretty good for a cheap whisky.
My proper favorite whisky is a Balvenie, though. But you can't get that everywhere, and if you ask for one in a place where they don't have it, they will bring you whatever whisky they have on hand. I have been given Buchannans when I ask for a single malt multiple times, and I absolutely hate Buchannans.
Ordering Jack Daniels is so much easier, and quite good.
“Jack Daniel flavour notes” aka pine sol
Nothing like pine Sol but Jack Daniels ain't for everyone but to be honest I grew up around Jack Daniels whiskey my dad drinks it, my sister drinks it, my brother-in-law drinks it. Yes I'm aware there's other whiskeys out there but Jack is my and will always be my go to
@@Zarumas_Vellendrikif in europe it is also the wasiest american whiskey to find at bars
I really like the jack Daniels single barrel select it's nice and smooth
Agreed it's awesome and so is the new single barrel barrel proof rye. JD has come a long way past few years for a long time i thought it was garbage 😂
The actual nose profile of any jack Daniel's whiskey is sweaty socks, soaked leather, and paint thinner
Best Old Fashioned recipe:
-1 Sugar Cube
-3 Dashes of Aromatic Bitters
-2 Dashes of Orange Bitters
-1 Drop of Wildflower Honey
(MUDDLE)
-1 Applewood Smoked Ice Sphere
-2 Ounces of Sinatra Select
-1 Ounce of Jack Daniel's Rye
Garnish with 1-3 Moonshine Cherries
Your welcome.
That was Amazing 👍🫡God Bless You!
great bottle design in my opinion
I think so too!
this is by far the best Jack Daniels I’ve ever had, incredibly smooth to drink over ice and almost seems criminal to mix it, but great either way, mixing with coke almost gives off a vanilla coke vibe 🥃
I don't personally like whiskey, I know nothing about whiskey, but man I love listening to the passion you put in your reviews. The day I get the taste of whiskey I'll know where to look for suggestions ❤️
That crooked label is killing me man! 😵💫
I thought I was trippin
I can not unsee it!
I did pick up some of that. Good stuff. I prefer it over gentleman jack.
At the Peabody hotel in Memphis they have something called the Sinatra suite. It comes with a glass of the Sinatra Jack reserve
Only a glass?
I don’t even drink anymore but I enjoy your videos.
"This is like drinking water" - sir i think you may have a bit of a drinking problem
The Jack Daniels distillery is definitely a place to check out if you’re in that area. Crossed that one off my bucket list. It was a good time.
“There is absolutely no burn!”
If there’s one thing I know about whiskey, there’s always a burn. What a crock lol
You're not supposed to slurp it like fucking apple juice, that's why you're getting burnt. You have to let it sit on your tongue for a second before you swallow it.
@@totalmetaljacket789 And when you do that, it burns. Because it’s whiskey.
@@SoloDoloSpaceman Good whiskey doesn't burn at all.
@@totalmetaljacket789yep, had some Japanese whiskey like that once. If you never try the good stuff people will never know the truth 😂
@@totalmetaljacket789 there's a beam that matches up to what you're saying.... But the real difference is whisky and whiskey 🥃 😅 usually the good whiskey is *scotch whisky*

Sweet! How much did that bottle cost?
around $150
I'm not really a whiskey guy but I really appreciate this guy and his workman-like approach to whiskey tasting.
They made a bottle for Lemmy the lead singer of motorhead. Wish I would have bought that bottle.
Me drinking this: THIS WATER BURNS!!!!
I first tried this when I toured the distillery. It was definitely my favorite one
The effort to find archive footage of Sinatra saying "Jack Daniel's" is noticed and appreciated.
That was a roller coaster of emotions there
I’m taking a tour of the distillery in two day. I’ll keep a eye out for this one.
I got me a bottle of this, and I did enjoy how smooth it was. I did like the "secret club" invite to lol
Purchased this a while back with high, high expectations. Trust me it taste more or less the same as the regular version. The single barrel 100% proof edition on the other hand is quite simply the best and worth every penny (if you can track it down)
You are by far the best whiskey reviewer on the internet. You make things simple enough for even beginners to grasp what you’re talking about and you also don’t come off arrogant or pretentious. Keep it up.👍
Great review!
That stuff burns more than anything I have ever tasted - did the tasting when I went to Nashville
Love that Old style Bottle
I've never seen someone diss something so hard and end it with a real positive seal of approval.
How did he diss he just said frank Sinatra didn’t have anything to do with the Sinatra select
Love jack love Sinatra select even more
Oh shit! I love jack Daniel, I gotta try this
Outta all the shorts I’ve seen of yours this is the only bottle I’ve got in my house lol
Just like Gentleman's Jack. Smooth and a nice jack flavor 😋
I just got this one on my wheel of whiskey. I think we are pretty close in how we think about it. Love the content keep it up TJ.
I had a bottle of that. Sadly was only half bottle of friend gave me it when he was giving up the booze for a while cleaning up his life. He did a good job He's doing good now but I got that Sinatra select was super good That was my go-to for that Just enjoy occasionally sip on it at night and I finished the bottle I looked to buy one myself and my god had they gone up in price. I know it was a bit more pricey when they first came out but I remember asking my friend how much he got his for and it definitely gone up at that point. Nice review and very good whiskey
Dude u r the best reviewer because u say it like it is Sinatra had zilch to do with this product but then when it holds up u give the props it deserves. I don't even drink any brown liquor but love watching u
This is actually one of my favorites. It’s a good sipping whiskey
"Absolutely no burn" *eyes about to water* hold it back jerry
In most of the photos of him in Vegas drinking whiskey, it’s actually George Dickel, the other Tennessee whiskey. They have a fantastic 13-year old 100 proof for $50.
Jack never fails true staple to the Appalachians
Smooth as Sinatras voice
Are you telling me this is smoother than Gentleman's Jack?? 😯
I love Brewzle's content. But I swear I've never seen him in a dry shirt
Definitely has been on my wish list
I wish I could tell a part certain flavors or notes in whisky. To me it just tastes like different types of whisky. And I like it.
Thats some Nathan Green or Uncle Nearest if u look for it in the stores
Love how I’m watching this amazing shit and I’m 13 like wtf 😂😂
You sir, are 100% accurate
Have you done the Jack single barrel select? Deff worth a try
Nice review
Ah Jack Daniel’s aroma from Jack Daniels who would have thought
Maybe the US version is different to the exported version. In New Zealand, the Sinatra select is definitely not smooth neat (or even on ice), and is massively overpriced. I'd much rather have 6 bottles of buffalo Trace or bulleit bourbon.
Love, jd Frank Sinatra hard to get it, though. Even Jack Daniels factory in Tennessee last time I went there didn’t have it. But bottle definitely worth the money.
My favorite is white rabbit.....amazing from Jack Daniels
Been clean off drinking for about a week or so, just so my liver can heal a bit, but when I get back into it I might need to pick a bottle of this up instead of my regular stuff
I think it was a special thing for Frank's birthday. I heard it's supposed to be closer to what Sinatra would have been drinking in the 1960s and 70s.
This guy looks like if a Disney dad got a drinking show and I'm all for it
I've always said just regular Jack Daniels and regular Jim Beam are underrated whiskeys, for the price their both good quality. Love the sour mash JD and I can clearly taste the difference between the jack and Jim. As for My favorite bourbon I always go to eagle rare.
Lol his tune changed up so quick hahaha he saw the light when it touched his lips.
With Jack Daniels No.7, I always figured you could get the same effect with a cheap whiskey while chewing on a charcoal briquette.
Great bottle...cinnamon note is awsome!
This mustache Pete looked like he just heard one of his loved ones died after hitting the charcoal, nutty, 90 proof! Really looks smooth 😂😂😂
Cant wait for JD Keith Richards Select
When is that dropping?
@@Brewzle I'm pretty sure it will be when we are all dead and buried and its just Keith and the cockroaches.
The big trick to this whiskey is when they make the barrels they cut deep grooves into the staves so the whiskey is in contact with more toasted oak while it ages. It's leagues above the old 7
I had a bottle of this given to me on my birthday a few years back, good stuff for sure
I love getting a couple bottles of jack winter and drinking that shit warm
No burn? Idk if I'd care for it then. Can you do a review of Sagamore Rye? It's a local thing around Maryland it's one of my favorites
I love that im now getting alcohol review videos
It burns 🔥 so good whiskey is tough 👍
27 Gold is my absolute favorite goes down like water.,
I just got a used barrel half from Jack Daniel’s and it smells just like their whiskey with extra charcoal. I thought it was really cool.
No burn *chokes* super smooth *grimaces* like drinking water
He put Jack on the map
sure did
Lets see some blade and bow review
