Hey Mase. I lived in London for a bit in the 80's. After a night out we grabbed an detour sign from the construction zone outside our flat. We we carrying it through the gate & 2 bobbies came up - " well then what are you going there?" Totally busted in the UK, went to court & everything. The magistrates had on white wigs & everything haha

That’s whiskey, it makes people do shit that would normally be outside their usual comfort level. Ranging from an introvert being the life of the party to someone experiencing a complete personality change.
This is why my friends and I call whiskey “Fightin’ Liquor”.
No matter how drunk I am, that never happens to me. But also, no matter how sober I am I'd never be against it if the people I was rolling with got excited for a plan like that.

For those who don’t know, rye whiskey uses a majority rye grains, which have a bit of a spice to them (think rye bread). Bourbon uses a majority corn as it’s grain, and the other grain used in whiskey is usually barley
specifically to be a bourbon the grain used must be a minimum of 51% corn. the rest either wheat or barley.
This only applies to American Rye Whiskey. Canadian Rye, due to a grandfather clause, may not be 51%+ Rye so just be aware if your buying Canadian.

Gentlemen jack is my birthday whiskey, sinatra select or single barrel is my new year's, no7 or rye (if I can find it) is the daily. Most give shit for it being the college kid whiskey or just a mixer it's the simple things sometimes that are better.

The sort of surprize and pride I feel as an American seeing Irish - IRISH! - people generally loving on one of our nation's liquor brands. So after going to the actual distillery in Lynchburg, TN. Double mellowed means before the whiskey is barreled it all goes through this 15 feet deep cylinder of charcoal to help filter the "Tennessee fire water". Double mellowed is after it's aged before they bottle they send the aged whiskey through the charcoal again which helps make it even more smooth.
I'd watch the black guy drink whiskeys and say "That's amazing" or "Fantastic" to every sip he takes, all day.

Hey Martin the charred barrels and the wood they made from is very important to the flavor of the Bourbon. As a side Jameson has started buy Bourbon barrels from American distillers to use with their Irish whiskey. Look at their label and it says aged in Bourbon barrels. Happy drinking, Mate.
