I used the laser batons and the blicky just to keep spamming blasts like a rat.
I just kept saying "My BLICKYYYYYY"
So basically, shadow was the strongest fighter in his verse and no one could beat him, so he went looking for someone who match his strength in battle, when he comes across the gates of shadows. When he opens the gates, it releases 7 demons, who rip shadows body and soul apart thus turning him, into a shadow. Now he ventures the land killing the demons he released and collecting seals he needs to use to close the gates of shadows and return to normal. You missed an entire cutscene which plays everytime you open the game (atleast it does on mobile) which tells you this story. Shadow fight 2 is prolly one of my fav mobile games of all time and it gets cooler and better the farther you get with new mechanisms. I still go back to play sometimes even after all these years. Very happy to see you enjoying it.

Fun fact: the switch version had a very interesting bug at first: basically, every perecentage was treated as 100%, and there was an ability that stated "if you land the first strike within 5 seconds (i think) there is a n% chance you will deal damage equal to X% of the opponent's health". Basically, if you were fast you could one-shot everybody, bosses included. It backfired agains wasp because she could reflect damage, killing you in the process (the same concept applied to her ability)

on the pc version there was a perk that so long as you didn't get hit blocking would prevent all dmg. I made it all the way up to shogun severely under leveled with that 1 perk.

You unlock ranged weapons after you defeat lynx. Also, try to save some coins before you get to xp level 5. When you reach it , a challenger fighter will appear and if you defeat him you get to keep his weapon, so it's important to have some coins saved up for getting the new armour and maybe helmet before the fight to make it easier.

probably won't be nacessary because on the switch you get so much money it's insane. on mobile they just wanted to lure people into microtransactions by making these very hard.

@@Muho_is_meyou need to pay gems to fight him again, the guy playing is playing special edition, where they hand out gems like candy, but if ur playing the actual version You really don't wanna lose. The weapons you win from duels all come with simple enchantments. In special edition, you cannot enchant weapons (the version he is playing) but in the real version, you can, so If you do in fact lose, you can buy a similar weapon and try your luck enchanting

This should be a let's-play series. Surprisingly no one has done that with this game like they would with fnaf, undertale, hard time, GOW etc.
SF1 is a Facebook web game and SF3 is something like SF2 but the quality is not even close
Thete is Shadow Fight 3, which has 3D graphics, no actual shadows and has much less fluid movement, Shadow Fight 4 where you play pre-determined characters from Shadow Fight 3 and only upgrade and unlock their special abilities and Shades, which is the most grindy by far, has lootboxes, but plays the most like SF2 by far.
SF3 has a cool story and a somewhat fun gameplay (until you get to planes, then its pure suffering and grind.
SF4 has essentially no story, but a slightly improved gameplay, it's even more loot boxy though. Shades is okay, similar to SF3 in that regard but after beating SF3 I've had enough enough lootboxes for my lifetime.
Also I believe they split the canon somehow, as events of SF3 and SF4 play out completely differently to Shades
Definitely one of the best mobile games if not the best imo , great mechanics , decent storyline and an amazing soundtrack .

@@X_Danit's around 15€. You also get some new features, like Sensei's story and a versus mode where you can use some of the characters you faced (there are both bosses and 'normal' characters).

It's honestly a shame that Gamevil didn't continue with zenonia. With proper balancing in regards to grinding and better multiplayer while keeping the singleplayer story, it could've flourished

For any weapon with a quick back swing that hits the head, and a down slash on the forward + punch one time instead of twice, you can get super long strings of head hits by using those two moves and spacing well
The battle hammers infinite combo is actually insane, and if they ever get knocked down just catch them with the super slash, it lingers so much it's crazy

Same. Surprised it's still getting raid and story updates and even new mechanics. Though it's suffering HEAVILY with technical problems nowadays. Probably because it's hard updating an old game on an old engine for newer devices

Allow me to show respect for you picking this game. Shadow fight to me has always been a great mobile game i always thought it was EXTREMELY underappreciated. Shadow fight has STUNNING visuals great music and so much to enjoy while playing it. Its not perfect of course. But i will alwasy appreciate shadow fight for basically keeping me entertained for so many years and i only just recently beat it last year and it really makes me appreciate all the content shadow fight has to offer. From raids (the post game content) to special event raids of course the game again, isnt perfect since there isnt much to do besides raids and replaying old bosses but i deeply thank you speezy. For picking this great game to play a game that is heavily empty in the UA-cam department for good videos about it. Much less youtubers. It doesnt really matter to me if no one sees this. I just had to air out my love and appreciation for shadow fight 2 here. I thank you if you have read this far. Also i forgot to mention the story lol its also pretty good as well combined with shadow fight shades which continues it.

Not all of them get weaker. Enchantments that work in percentages (like Lifesteal healing 40% of damage dealt) scales up, although the chance of it occurring does decrease over time. Level 2 enchantments are only ever worth getting if you're going to use the weapon a lot at higher levels
@@enigmatic2878 welll depends if you reach max level then go through and collect them all they will be max levle enchantment. but if you unlock them earlier they will be weaker.

I beat this game a long time ago and loved it, earlier this year I bought the special edition to try to speedrun it, beat all of it in one day, insanely nostalgia, the game holds up incredibly well

The thing is, all the AI's act the exact same way, they just use more and more unfair reactions and stuff in higher difficulties. It's possible to completely own everyone after a while just because you know EXACTLY how they fight.

The animations in this game always were so smooth. Excellent
You need to know a couple of combos to even fight effectively, and they're relatively easy. For Sword, get far enough so you can still hit the enemy with > + P, and when the gap is closed, you do < + K, then wait till you can do it again. The opponent shouldn't block during the combo. Don't spam > + PP

If you wanna do some sick combos, fight bare handed in the after game. Those attacks are in my opinion by far the best for combos.
12 hours of regular gameplay, luck, skill, luck, skill, luck, skill, and also luck, this game is literally luck and skill and they somehow manage to make a actually very addicting game. you should actually speedrun this game.

Shadow Fight 2 is SUCH A GOOD GAME! It's one of the highest quality mobile games I've ever seen in my life! I badly want a PC version to play!

@@giddycadettook me about 36 attempts. I was told an easy strat is to use the flame clubs and strike his legs as often as possible, reacting to certain things as necessary.

@@shootingstardragon7764 i might try that. I've been using the kusarigama and composite sword more or less interchangeably, but i might switch to something else since the final boss represents such a massive change in playstyle.
actually one of the few gripes i have with the game is how little it prepares you for Titan. it's like for one enemy only you are asked to stop playing shadow fight and to start playing dark souls. it's a really weird decision. none of the other bosses even have command grabs so that part's new as well
@giddycadet is the composite sword the one that acts like a whip as well? If so, I do know it's seriously good against him too, flame clubs are easiest to use for the ones who can't get the sword, mostly because the downward, upward and normal strikes are really fast to use

I played it on mobile a few years back. Further as story progresses, it became insane farming just to get gear strong enough to lower difficulty of one fight from impossible to insane, so you can actually stand a chance to beat it. On top of that there was an energy mechanism so you could get like five fights before waiting for energy to recharge. It sucked since combat becomes repetetive after a while and at that time only thing I was interested in was story.
So glad you made a video on it, because yes, it is a forgotten (childhood) masterpiece.

I have been playing this game for YEARS now and still playing. After defeating Titan I replayed the game with a challenge in mind. Going full eclipse for all fights! Man the grind is tough but I made it into the final act. I still need more chips though. And fighting in imposible mode has been the norm
Edit: Please check the moves set that you can find in the profile logo. It will really help you out if you know ALL types of move set for EACH weapon.

This game takes so long to beat. I have not forgotten it. I played it when it came out and 4 years ago I came back to it. I have been playing it for these past 4 years.
At some points in the story the game just goes "all this currency you saved up? We now make it wortless just because. Go make some new money if you wanna progress. Also you start the game over. Beat everyone you already beat again. And again". To beat the game you have to do each area like 3 times
You should definitely speedrun this, also try studying every weapon including combos whenever you buy them.
Love your commentary. There are not many people who voice over/ caption SF2. Btw, to do the throw thing, you need to be close to the person, either point your joystick left or right (depending on what side you are on) and press punch twice.

they made a new games using all the previous assets called Shades, basically taking the combat of num 2 and making it re-playable and damn is that fun

I've done it already before when I was smaller, but as I recently beat the very final boss of the game, Titan, I absolutely could NOT understand how a younger me could've beaten that hot-blade-up-your-ass difficulty boss. Titan is just so unnecessarily absolutely ridiculously difficult but now that I've beaten him again my life is complete.
Other than the difficulty later on, this game is absolute peak and despite attempts to milk the game's brand there will never be another game that will give you the awesome experience that was shadow fight 2 and I'm so glad it was one of the pillars of my childhood
Used to hammer this game on my phone on the way to work almost every day, it was soo good! And the music is sooo hype
