Hi Mike. I'm seriously considering the purchase of a >09 DB9, having watched many of your videos (as well as Steve's from aston1936) as part of my research. This primary decat sounds like smart futureproofing, as I would intend to hang on the car for a long time. The exhaust becoming actually a little less loud would be more of a pro than a con to me personally. My question is: I'm based in the Netherlands. Would a primary decat be possible on a parts exchange basis, where I'd send you my manifolds and I'd receive a pair of gutted ones? And could the appropriate remap be done remotely, i.e. via remote desktop or at a local tuner uploading your files or following your guidelines? Kind regards and thanks in advance for your advice. Frans
Very helpful vid! If you cut out the first cluster of cells on the oem 4.3L cats as you suggest, will you have to tune out a CEL? My initial thought would have been to cut out the cells after the second o2 sensor for similar gains and no CEL. Any thoughts?
Hi, I’m planning on replacing the cats on my 4.3 by the decats offered on your site. Problem is I live in the Netherlands so won’t be able to come over to do the remap. Is there a possibility to do this in another way?
Wish I’d spotted this earlier - very well explained thank you
Hi Paul
A valid point, I am also entertaining removal of the primary cats on my DBS but not sure who would do the re-map here in Australia.
Aston Martin Garage here in Melbourne
After watching your video today I removed my AM V8s secondary decat 😁
Hi Paul, I have a 2001 Db7 and recently put a lanarni center section on it. sounds great but was wondering how much horsepower increase I would get.

It’s to do with the 2nd sensor holding the gas pressure - I assume
