Two Planets Approach the Roche Limit looks like a lock for New Year's Eve, although 2nd place could easily be a non-Kirby theme since a non-Kirby theme tied for 3rd place... ...although it would be hilarious if Morpho Knight's themes took 2nd place, that fire knight from hell. (This would be partially due to Kirby and the Forgotten Land fatigue, admittedly...)
Thank Yuuta Ogasawara for this; as far as I can tell, he specializes in rock music. (Cue all the boss theme arrangements he did for Kirby Star Allies, for example...)
The original song chills you to the bone because of the synths and this one does with its amazing guitar chords. It's so close to the original that it's unbelievable.
Got a trio myself: Northeast, Waterworks and Two planets. I love final boss themes, this one did not disappoint me at all. The entire OST is *chef's kiss* amazing.
Nah, my favourites are VS. Dangerous Beast, The Ultimate Fight, and Plundering Beast Battle - VS. Dangerous Beast in particular would be nuts! Honestly, I'm kinda thrown in for a loop that the themes assigned to multiple bosses in that game were IMO better and catchier overall than the themes assigned to much fewer bosses. (I honestly still think that Two Planets Approach the Roche Limit has pretty much nothing musically to cling onto, and while The Raging Lion Roars has a catchy bit, VS. Dangerous Beast is awesome and intrepid the entire way through and none of the other boss themes in KatFL are matching that. Sword of the Surviving Guardian is richly structured and absolutely wails more than halfway through, and Morpho Knight's theme that round outshines their theme their first round, but the boss themes of all 3 recurring bosses are blatantly borrowing from their Kirby Star Allies versions, especially uncreative King Dedede's.)
The absolute best has to be Two Planets Approaching the Roche Limit but this is definitely one of the best among the soundtrack and it being remixed is just beautiful!

Dangerous Beast has an expansive intrepid feeling that none of the other boss themes in Kirby and the Forgotten Land have, and that and how consistently catchy it is are why I think it's still the best boss theme in the entire game. Best map theme (one of the best in the series, IMO!) goes to Isolated Isles: Forgo Dreams, though - wonderful take on The Raging Lion Roars, 2(!!) other battle themes, and Welcome to the New World!, including in counterpoint. Yuki Shimooka may have composed some of the weaker battle themes in the game IMO, and him being stuck with mastering all the voice acting as the new guy is no joke, but KatFL has shown me that we should never underestimate him as an arranger.
This is arguably my favorite level track in the whole game, and that's saying a lot for a banger soundtrack overall. Wonderful remix, GaMetal! I'm really happy to see this track brought up to such rocking vibes! Merry Christmas and rock on!!!

Yeah, Morpho Knight's been shafted for 2 main-series games so far now, and their theme's possibly the 2nd most requested from Kirby and the Forgotten Land from what I've seen. With that being said, Soul 0 System has been shafted for 3 main-series games and counting - please, please complete Star Dream's cycle of final boss themes! Jonny, you've been earnestly completionist before with Magolor and Queen Sectonia, and I don't think I'm alone in expecting this awesome completionism to continue!

We couldn't get Jonny Atma to cover/remix Vs. Aeon Hero (if he did, it would be the 3rd time he covers Galacta Knight's theme, though); what makes you think that Roar of Dedede has a chance? Jonny has plenty of Dedede remixes and even has a Macho of Dedede one - honestly, it's already pretty tough telling Macho of Dedede and Roar of Dedede remixes apart if neither come with vocals.

I played the demo and was immediately impressed by how easy it was to play but also how it eases you into learning how to use the new mechanic (which, yes, nothing new for Kirby, but it makes me happy to see they haven't abandoned Sakurai's design philosophy). It's a lot of fun and I plan on getting it as soon as I can (sadly, as a university student I make next to nothing from my jobs). Anyway, great cover! I'm glad that you went hard while also incorporating the inherent softness of the theme itself; it's actually one of the reasons I like your covers more than the average metal artist, because you can capture the emotions of whatever song you cover so well while also being true to your style. Ahh... I like these more slower metal covers that Jonny does on occasion, they're so nice and chill (pun somewhat intended). This year is still Wario's 30th anniversary and I'm still requesting Glittertown from Wario Land: Shake It!/Greenhorn Ruins from Wario World, Introducing Wario Deluxe from WarioWare Gold, Wario Shipyard from Mario Kart 7, or Hurry Up! from Wario Land 4!
This was one of the last songs I ever expected to hear in GaMetal, and clicking on it, even knowing your incredible talent and past exploits, I was on the fence if it would work or not. That fence is now bent over 90 degrees from the weight of the snow on it. Well fucking done. The chorus at 1:27 transferred incredibly, the percussion really makes it. Take my like, good sir.
