As per Editors Note btw Emi actually started playing this game THE MOMENT she stopped recording! Some of the vid asks for spoilers but please be vague now that she's actually playing it
That's great, sad we won't hear a blind reaction to Two Planet Approach the Roche Limit since this track is a wild ride, but I hope she have fun, this game is great!
One of my favorite parts of Forgotten Land's release was how it was pulling in newcomers to the franchise who had no idea that Kirby games commonly end with slaying eldritch abominations threatening to consume the galaxy.
Emi: "I have no _clue_ about Kirby, but I have a _hat!"_ ...I'm pretty sure Kirby would say exactly the same thing most of the time. No clues, _lots_ of hats.
@@A-Rune-bear "Dae Dae Dae" is the correct reading in several languages, including the original Japanese, and was more than likely the intended reading in English as well (considering the "Dee" in "Waddle Dee" is deliberately spelled different) - until the dub of the anime happened.

The actual hard part to assess is the songs several pre-transition points for Phase 2 (It's literally written to where there's multiple points for Phase 2 to begin with a smooth as possible transition)
Kirby music goes SO HARD, you should TOTALLY listen to more songs from Kirby. I HIGHLY recommend that you listen to the themes of some of the Final Boss fights like "Two Planets Approach the Roche Limit" (from Forgotten Land), "C-R-O-W-N-E-D" (from Return to Dreamland), "Moonstruck Blossom" (from Triple Deluxe), "VS. Star Dream" (from Planet Robobot), and the full suite "The Star Conquering Traveler" (from Star Allies), which is my favorite in the series (even if it is a bit long). Either "Factory Inspection" (from The Crystal Shards) or "Burning Churning Power Plant" (from Forgotten Land) are also really good.
Sword of the Surviving Guardian gives me chills EVERY SINGLE TIME The song is a remix of a classic Kirby Super Star theme -- My friends and the Setting Sun. The melody isn't exactly the same as the original, but you can obviously tell it's a variation on it. And then building up to the end, you have it build up and up and up and up and up. And then FINALLY it hits that point where most of the instruments cut out and they play the original melody, unaltered. And man the pay-off is so incredibly good that it literally made me choke up the first few times I heard it.
Yay, I was hoping for this! A trip to the Kirby Wiki tells me that Welcome to the New World's lyrics were written in Japanese originally, but the song itself is sung in the game's made-up language. But it looks like it's phonetically based off Japanese, so it sounds very similar (it's basically Japanese gibberish that's arranged to look like a totally different language)
God, I forgot how absolutely amazing the Kirby and The Forgotten Land OST was. It is just filled with bangers. Taking advantage of the cutesy first impression it gives and then surprising you with something crazy is Kirby's specialty after all. Also as I commented on the Undertale video, my OST recommendation is Pizza Tower, which is not as cutesy but definitely takes people by surprise.
The Invincible Candy is an item that has appeared in most (if not all) main line Kirby games so this tune is somewhat iconic among fans. And also definately worth remembering for later 😉
I’ve been so excited for you to react to Kirby and I am certainly not disappointed with your reaction On a side note, the vocals of roar of dedede is from dedede’s voice actor in forgotten land
If you're going to react to songs from other Kirby games, I highly recommend Vs. Marx, C-R-O-W-N-E-D, 02 Battle, and Fatal Blooms in Moonlight, though you really can't go wrong with Kirby music.
About Morpho Knight lore, it is actually the god of judgement in the Kirby universe. It decides your fate after you die. Not to be confused with the god of death, which is Necrodeus.
Two Planets approach the Roche limit is goated, shame you didn’t have time to listen to it…literally one of the most impressively composed songs in videogames I’ve heard
Kirby soundtracks are always amazing, and also full of remixes so it feels great as an older player too! My favorite Kirby OST overall is the whole "Canvas Curse" one from the DS because it's just so bizarre. But you would definitely enjoy listening to other Kirby sountracks, like for example "Mountains in an Angry Sky" pops in my head regularly lol
Northeast Frost Street is one of the BEST songs in the entire franchise and I will DIE on that hill, TOP 5 in a series known for it's banger soundtracks.

I also haven't played Kirby before, so I was doing a react-along! The Morpho Knight theme is my favourite of this bunch, with Roar of Dedede being second!

Morpho Knight is the postgame final boss. You should also listen to the main game final boss theme, Two Planets Approach The Roche Limit (also check Wikipedia for what Roche Limit means)
My favorite Kirby OST is the one in Star Allies, because not only does the game you typical cheery Kirby songs the very much takes in instruments serious like well orchestrated music a lot, and top of that there is so much original music from pass games.
I'd love to see you react to more Kirby music! ...Also I can't believe Two Planets Approach the Roche Limit wasn't on the list if you chose based on people's top songs
13:15 Context: boss theme of a recurring rival. It is quite possibly the heaviest version of this theme, too. Dedede is the final boss of the very first Kirby game, Kirby's Dreamland, and has been showing up repeatedly for boss fights ever since. He's kind of a frenemy at this point, with an on-and-off grudge as seen in previous games.
Among all the people asking for more Kirbo music reactions, I would ask for Great Ace Attorney music reactions. It has some of the best music I’ve heard, such as “Reaper of the Old Bailey” and “Samurai with a Mission” not to mention “The Link Between Science and Magic” all of which are amazing. Just a suggestion though
If I had to recommend another song to listen to, I’d heavily recommend Decisive Battle Ultimate Z It gets so overshadowed by other boss themes in the game but it’s probably my personal favorite!
Kirby deep lore is an INSANE rabbit hole to go down and makes Morpho Knight even cooler while simultaneously ruining the cutesy vibe of much of the world lol.
kirby's a fun series. cute n simple on the surface, complex and introspective beneath. its crazy how well both ideas mix so seamlessly. won't provide spoilers of course, but the climatic fights of the games are just simply insane, in every sense of the word. i'm very happy you've begun playing forgotten land, i've been trying to figure out if its dethroning my previous favorite game, kirby planet robobot, ever since BEFORE it came out-it's *that* good
Context for each of the songs Welcome to the New World!: plays after the tutorial level in a small cutscene, which introduces you to the plot of Forgotten Land. Northeast Frost Street: Plays in a sorta wintery themed area, dunno what else to say. Sword of the Surviving Guardian: plays during the boss fight against Meta Knight, who acts as a *guardian* of Waddle Dee Town. Faded Dream of a Psychomeddler: I don't actually remember much abt this one lol Roar of Dedede: Plays during the second boss fight against King Dedede, when he's been taken over by a mask that made him.. **wild**. Invincible Candy: invincible candy!!!! Morpho Knight: Takes place during the final boss of the extra mode. I know you've already played the game and already know all of this but i just wanted to explain this lmao
Who is Morpho Knight? Basically a butterfly that consumed the soul of the final boss and transformed into........ well, it still has butterfly wings....... and its' body is round....... other than that the appearance of the butterfly on screen is something that sends Kirby players in a panic on a regular basis. Who is Dedede? King Dedede is a penguin in the final boss of the first Kirby game. His evil plan was....... to hoard food....... After being defeated he became he "friend" of Kirby and appeard in nearly every game, where he is usually taken over and possessed by the villain. The Dedede fights are among the best of each game and the theme you are hearing is always a variation of that first final boss theme.
northeast frost streat literally brought tears to my eyes when i heard it and its so immersive and gives me the feels, tickles me everytime, i adore it
The *best* thing about Kirby is that he looks like That and the games look like That and the tone feels like That. And then at the end of the day this cute little pink ball of squish annihilates elder gods and nightmare kings without breaking a sweat. I love Kirby
The invincibility theme first made its appearance in the very first Kirby game Kirby’s Dream Land on the gameboy and has been remixed in almost every Kirby game
I also had never played Kirby, then I played Kirby and the forgotten land, it is one of the best games I have ever played (Coming from dude who normally play FPS games and strategic war games). Cool you are playing it.
"I don't know who Morpho Knight is. I guess we're fighting death itself" You're not too far off the mark with that. SPOILERS: Morpho Knight's original form is based on an orange butterfly that has appeared in EVERY opening of the Kirby games. But it was only acknowledged in Star Allies in 2017. Where one of the strongest warriors in the galaxy, Galacta Knight is preparing himself to fight Kirby and his friends in a 4v1 boss fight. In the lore, Galacta Knight has taken down planets to the point where he was sealed away. But as Galacta Knight is about to fight Kirby, the orange butterfly appears and takes Galacta Knight's life and sort of using his appearance as a base to create Morpho Knight where it's one of the toughest boss fights in Kirby history. But this was mainly an update to the game added through DLC which fans didn't think seemed "canon worthy". But then Forgotten Land released and made Morpho Knight canon to the Kirby story lore making it more serious. Seriously Kirby fans can fight gods with a pink marshmallow on a tuesday and be perfectly fine and stable, but the moment a butterfly appears we lose it.
No, it was a cover of Meta Knight’s Revenge that won a Grammy. Sword of the Surviving Guardian is largely based on My Friend and the Setting Sun, another song that is associated with Meta Knight as it is the song that plays after you beat him in Superstar.
0:03 I think the language used in Welcome to a New world is a bit of an altered version of Japanese. I mean, I looked for the Japanese lyrics in Romaji and they sound similar but not entirely the same. Also considering the fact that in the game, they have their own Alphabet. So yeah. Also next time, try listening to Kirby's Return To Dream Land (or the deluxe version) ost 2:25 It is pronounced Alive+el 4:02 Ah yes... I listen to this music when I study 6:47 And here it comes... The Lone Swords Man, META KNIGHT! 9:33 A Psychomeddler is a made up word where the "Psycho" (It will be meaning "Psychic" on this case) means "Relating to the soul or mind " or "Relating to or denoting faculties or phenomena that are apparently inexplicable by natural laws, especially involving telepathy or clairvoyance." And "Meddler" means "A person who tries to change or have an influence on things that are not their responsibility." This song plays in the stages of the after story mode "Isolated Isles: Forgo Dreams" and well... the isles are created from the faded and blurry memories of the final boss... So yeah, the title is basically explaining everything. 11:57 Best Dedede theme.. ALSO IT'S PRONOUNCED DEE DEE DEE. (Fun fact: The way you pronounced Dedede's name is actually how it is pronounced in Japanese) 14:26 Kirby goes full on Sugar Rush... BUT ROCKS 15:27 Morpho Knight is one of my favorite theme and I also love the character. Also, the lore is actually that Morpho Knight is basically a Reaper or smth
Yes, Morpho Knight is literally Grimm Reaper in Kirby, he goes to take the lives of beings alive for far too much time that truly want to stop existing
9:38 this is one of my favorite kirby themes(my favorite is Under My Control) 12:01 I'd recommend checking out Juno Song's cover of this, it's great for a lil laugh.
You should react to Shadow Fight 2 ost. It has one of the best soundtracks for a mobile game. There is so much good music in that game and here are some of my favorites: Old sensei, Burning town, Ship Battle, Sparring, Titan epic fight, Underworld demon (also known as volcano), Lord of the lies, Starship, Spaceship, halls of the dead heroes, heavenly clouds, fat boss.
This is one of my favorite things about Kirby: You probably wouldn't think it at firsr glance, but Kirby games consistently have some of the best soundtracks in any media
Yeah, when I was first playing the Northeast Frost Street level, and the soundtrack first hit that orchestral swell, I was blown away. Why did the composers go so hard on this random snow level theme?
Morpho knight is the death that comes for otherwise great and unkillable warriors, and is considered a harbinger of apocalypses. He is called Morpho Knight because he is also a butterfly. The Reaping Butterfly.
Morpho knight is butterfly who will choose to become the great warrior on judgment day His description states "On the day of judgment, this fluttery fiend will fly into action. Brought into existence by “the greatest warrior in the galaxy” and reborn as a knight of doom through years of adversity-now begins an epic battle with a pure being twisted by a dark past."
Its pronounced With Hard E sounds And Dedede is Kirby usual rival/Friend in modern games But was an antagonist in the past For context here Its mind control that there fighting

Kirby: Man, it's hot as hell in this room... *narrowly dodges a flame attack and sees why* IS THAT THE GRIM REAPER!?
dededelightful reaction! great video, happy to know the banging soundtrack actually managed to get you into kirby. have fun with the games!
wait till she learns the kirby lore
We need more people reacting to these songs.
northeast frost streat literally brought tears to my eyes when i heard it and its so immersive and gives me the feels, tickles me everytime, i adore it
Kirby been out for 31 years and never missed a track. Insanity
The *best* thing about Kirby is that he looks like That and the games look like That and the tone feels like That. And then at the end of the day this cute little pink ball of squish annihilates elder gods and nightmare kings without breaking a sweat. I love Kirby
Basically, Kirby is about a Pink eldritch god, Killing other Multiversal threat level Entitys over a Cake (im not even joking)
Just started watching your reactions and I enjoy these so much! Im so glad you were able to give the series a chance!❤️❤️
It's always nice to see new people listen to Kirby music.
If you're gonna react to other Kirby OSTs, I highly recommend Return to Dream Land Deluxe.
"I don't know who Morpho Knight is. I guess we're fighting death itself"
You're not too far off the mark with that.
SPOILERS:
Morpho Knight's original form is based on an orange butterfly that has appeared in EVERY opening of the Kirby games.
Damn, no love for the chillest track in the game, Abandoned Beach :(
Just gonna say it, Sword of the Surviving Guardian won a Grammy
It did?
No, it was a cover of Meta Knight’s Revenge that won a Grammy. Sword of the Surviving Guardian is largely based on My Friend and the Setting Sun, another song that is associated with Meta Knight as it is the song that plays after you beat him in Superstar.
I would suggest the star conquering traveler suite, which is a five piece boss fight composition.
0:03 I think the language used in Welcome to a New world is a bit of an altered version of Japanese. I mean, I looked for the Japanese lyrics in Romaji and they sound similar but not entirely the same. Also considering the fact that in the game, they have their own Alphabet. So yeah. Also next time, try listening to Kirby's Return To Dream Land (or the deluxe version) ost
2:25 It is pronounced Alive+el
4:02 Ah yes... I listen to this music when I study
6:47 And here it comes...
(Fun fact: The way you pronounced Dedede's name is actually how it is pronounced in Japanese)
14:26 Kirby goes full on Sugar Rush... BUT ROCKS
15:27 Morpho Knight is one of my favorite theme and I also love the character. Also, the lore is actually that Morpho Knight is basically a Reaper or smth
Yes, Morpho Knight is literally Grimm Reaper in Kirby, he goes to take the lives of beings alive for far too much time that truly want to stop existing
I would love to hear your thoughts about other kirby games ost,all games have an incredible soundtrack
9:38 this is one of my favorite kirby themes(my favorite is Under My Control)
12:01 I'd recommend checking out Juno Song's cover of this, it's great for a lil laugh.
Hey don't forget Stone grove and lesson in the dark room! And also I think it is clouds heaven not heavenly clouds.
@@percyjackson3143 oh yeah
I'd love to see reactions of more Kirby games as the music is always a banger
This is one of my favorite things about Kirby: You probably wouldn't think it at firsr glance, but Kirby games consistently have some of the best soundtracks in any media
You think these are insane? Wait until you hear the final boss’ theme
The fact that she missed the best song of the game, the final boss theme.
Yeah, when I was first playing the Northeast Frost Street level, and the soundtrack first hit that orchestral swell, I was blown away. Why did the composers go so hard on this random snow level theme?
Northeast Frost Street by far is one of the best New songs in Kirby and its such a Joy to listen too
I'd suggest listening to past kirby game music, Kirby always has good music
Idk if someone said this but the person voicing dedede and his roars in the song is actually the current director of the Kirby series
I love how there is the leitmotif of Welcome to the new world! in the theme of Morpho knight.
When you get to the lava levels in Kirby it gets really really really dark
Sword of a Surviving Guardian is Meta Knight’s theme when you fight him in the colosseum
Morpho knight is the death that comes for otherwise great and unkillable warriors, and is considered a harbinger of apocalypses.
He is called Morpho Knight because he is also a butterfly. The Reaping Butterfly.
Morpho knight is butterfly who will choose to become the great warrior on judgment day
His description states
"On the day of judgment, this fluttery fiend will fly into action. Brought into existence by “the greatest warrior in the galaxy” and reborn as a knight of doom through years of adversity-now begins an epic battle with a pure being twisted by a dark past."
Faded dream of a psychomeddler is in the location: Forgo Dreams which is you can get access after the main story
Its pronounced With Hard E sounds
And Dedede is Kirby usual rival/Friend in modern games
But was an antagonist in the past
For context here
Its mind control that there fighting
