The crossbow went together quickly and the general fit and finish is a bit above what I expected for the price. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx5B43Qabqt1HedUJyfEqxiwBCfaooIH52 The adjustable stock is a little loose. I had an issue when I tried to cock the bow for the first time with the safety on. The string set in the trap box, held just enough to build up enough tension to rip the string out of my hands when it let go. No significant damage was done, and once I got it sighted in, I wrecked a couple bolts by sending one straight down the shaft of the first. I'm holding ~2" groups at around 50 yards, and I'm not an expert by any means. Best part is that they supply all the replacements parts you may ever need
@@PrepperGear Not yet. I was just looking to see which one I should go with < $400. I am a newb. But I want other options than my firearms. A Barnett WT Hunter STR or Pro vs Killer Instinct Burner 415 vs Wicked Ridge by Tenpoint vs Centerpoint Sniper 370.
You know I never seen so much junk in my life the only one there that could be possibly any good in the bunch would have been the 10-point or the Barnett I mean I understand everybody doesn't have a lot of money to be able to spend on a crossbow I get that but if you save some money and buy a good one I mean unless you want to have to spend for your $400 every couple of years when the junk breaks that's all I'm saying my dad always told me you get what you pay for
Has Killer Instinct fixed their quality control issue concerning the cracking limbs? I’ve also heard their customer service has gone downhill and they try and blame everything on the owner. If I’m gonna drop $1300 or so on a SWAT X1, I want quality and support.
I have the centerpoint sniper elite 370 and it's junk past 25 yards. Even with heavy pile driver bolts they start to fly wild at 30 yards. I already took 2 deer with it this year but they were both within 15 yards. Tried taking a 40 yard shot at a nice eight point though and the bolt missed by a mile over the deers back.
I've had Issues with the Bolt not falling into the Rail Good on some XBows. The front of the Bolt will be up, not down into the rail good. I check mine after I pull the Safety off. Make sure it's down in the Rail good. What Type of Broadhead? I assume You are not shooting 20 inch bolts out of a XBow designed for heavier 22 inch Bolts. My Pile Drivers carry 50yds. with ease.

I scored myself a Bear X Trek 380 on sale at my local archery shop. Had to get a crank for it but I'm still stoked to begin using it!
Why do you recommend the Barnett Whitetail Hunter STR over the Pro?
because of the price / quality, its a great option, I have recommended the Pro in other video too
do you have any of those?

@@donwilson350 Makes sense. What would you suggest in the American made Barnett line up for a beginner if I pushed my budget up to $500?
