Platoon is the most realistic/emotionnal one, Full Metal Jacket is the more cynical one, and Apocalypse Now will always be the most psychedelic, crazy, horrifying one. The whole three of them are great as fuck.
@@seankilburn7200The way to the abyss of humanity and to full madness wich is shown in the movie is really dark. Also many scenes contain much violence but I would say that the psychological aspect is the darkest part in the long term.
Coppola was a visionary director. Rarely if ever has a film so totally unjudgementally showcased the madness of war and of the men forced to endure it. Tragically comedic one moment and sickening realistic the next. Nothing will eclipse this work of cinema Art in the war film genre.
strictlynorton Apocalypse Now got it spot on and nobody has ever reached it again. The only film that only ever got slightly close was Full Metal Jacket. But Apocalypse Now is still unbeaten.
Coppola is one of those directors that never wastes a cut. Each one has a purpose, whether it be for storytelling, visuals, or emotional quality. Thanks for capturing that so well!
I met Martin Sheen once; he was a very kind man. That was before I saw this one; an absolutely beautiful nightmare. Seeing him in this made me realize that I had met a completely different person. Great work as always with these videos, especially this one.
True Apocaplypse put on film, but still beautiful, a bit like Blade Runner... Makes me think of the poet Baudelaire who described a rotting dead animal, an it was strikingly beautifully written!
Thanks to this film I fell in love with The Doors and I am still listening to their albums to this day. Their first album will forever be timeless like this film
It's insane how great this still looks considering its age and hellish production history. Even though I don't like most of Coppola's films after this, I have a huge amount of respect for him for pushing himself to complete this film.

Amazing cinematography, amazing soundtrack, amazing casting, and an amazing plot. In my opinion Apocalypse Now is the perfect movie. Its flawless. Greatest of all time.

Kubrick said the experience is what a filmmaker should prioritize. There are few films which I have seen as many times as Apocalypse Now which never fail to deliver an absolutely absorbing experience, as I go on a horrifying and liberating journey through the collective mind of us all. Perfect filmmaking. A contender for my all time favourite film.
🙏 It's like seeing an opera....You see or hear new details every time, even at the 150th. I saw " Apocalypse Now" at 17 years old....it was mindblowing and groundbreaking.. 30 years later it's even more mindblowing, groundbreaking and deep. Everything is perfect visually ( like paintings), musically, acting, etc, One of the very few masterpieces in the history of Cinema.

Watched this yesterday and boy was i surprised. Everything in this movie is perfect, Francis Ford Coppola is a genius. Man i cant describe the feelings i had while watching this! I was shocked, surprised and scared by this movie`s portrayal of war! Thank you for making this video and you chose the best moments from the movie!
Seeing my Grandfather watching this so many times knowing he served in both Korea and Vietnam with the Army always made me wonder what this movie was really about. After he passed, watching this makes me realize how much of an Masterpiece this is and making me want to serve as well. Such a beautiful video too 💪🏻

The cinematography of this film is so strong that it makes you feel it was produced after 2000s and not in late 1970s !!

Apolypse Now is like a Poem about war. Your scenes and choice of music portrays that poetic quality of the filming very well.
