Hope for Haas: ua-cam.com/video/NJBVTfMba64/v-deo.html
Who will finish higher between Ryan F1 (Renault or whatever they are called) or Haas this season???
*5:06* Best American accent this side of Gary Oldman or Christian Bale!! 😄
Haas will be last. No hope for them.
Why is Ryan Reynolds in the Header? The group he is part of owns 24% of Alpine and they have zero voice in the matter.
Do you see Mick going to Audi?
Perfect timing after jusf seeing a video of oscar piastri subtly-ish dissing alpine while fernando alonso is standing behind him smiling at the camera
Oh that is a classic of a video.
I don’t think I’ve seen this. Does anyone have a link or something I can search for ?
@@jacquesmit502 ua-cam.com/video/667C2CzSAsM/v-deo.htmlsi=_N1VjdNfyEdsI8FZ
+1 for a link to that video (if UA-cam doesn't block it in a comment), or at least a hint where to find it, thanks! ;)
@@jacquesmit502 I think it is the clip “You have moved up above Alpine” here on YT, at least what I could find that matches it
I do actually feel for Alpine. The engine freeze has been very poorly policed, especially as Ferrari has gained 50hp under the guise of "Reliability upgrades" but it didn't improve reliability.
They thought it meant reliably faster.
Ferrari didn't gain any hp 😂
If your engine is more reliable you can push it to its limits, and they've been working especially on the hybrid and its power erogation.
Ferrari got rekt by DT39, that was unfair.
The same benefit is there for all the teams. The problem here is the money, renault is not investing enough to do the same " improve performance in the name of reliability fix".
When honda was able to catch up to merc engine after starting late in the hybrid era. Renault has no excuse. Even after the engine freeze they cannot close the gap.
@@thekyuwaUnfair? Exploiting the sensor's sampling rate to exceed the prescribed fuel flow rate is a shitty tactic. The unfair part is Ferrari getting to claim that it is not guilty because the FIA refuses to do its job properly.
And yes, Ferrari was exploiting the sensor's sampling timing, or it wouldn't have hurt them.
@@rafaelmarkos4489 Ferrari was not exploiting anything 😂
Sir Lewis Secret Tyre Tests Hamilton faking back pain and Toto crying like a toddler that DT39 was necessary for driver's safety is what "convinced" FIA to implement that change.
Ask Redbull why Halmut Marko is not on their payroll or Mercedes why they knew about the second cable connected to the floor in Canada: what does Ferrari have to do with Alpine not being capable of building a good engine 😂
What Alpine needs right now is… checks pun book... a Renaultssance
They're already going through a Renaulution (actual thing). I think they're set for puns.
@@patriotbarrow lol. Just googled that. French are always one step ahead
If Andretti as interested in F1 enough would might buy Alpine just to to get a seat in F1, they'd likely take a lot of the IP and some personel, but would gut everything else.
So long as it only costs one dollar.
Distinct possibility. GM and Andretti have the budget. The Maximum Effort Group may be interested in backing Alpine or looking to cut their losses
Well, with what LawVS said and what I've heard rumblings of, Alpine doesn't have a lot to gut now...
Like when Tyrrell was bought by British American Tobacco?
Who is Andretti in F1 ?! You are probably a new F1 fan to write down that kind of stuff.
Andretti could be a new « Haas », for sure.
Alpine is gonna get back to the game…
It’s just a matter of time
If he bought in a few years ago, it could have been Ryan’s Renaults
...dang that's good.
Ah our boy Eddie Jordan. Yeah if even Eddie Jordan is calling you out, then it's really bad.
I can't believe how he has amassed nearly £500m in assets.
@@LawVS He definitely does not look the part hahaha

☝️what they said. Nice work 🙌
I think he is cool with it, since it is still not as embarrassing as Green Lantern
facts.
Alpine has nothing left to loose tbh
Imagine Renolds making Deadpool F1 Team and actually be succesful with it
Maximum Effort F1 Team doesn’t have that bad of a ring to it
reynolds renault F1 team
Would it be against the rules for alpine to use last years car this year, since it seems better?
They should bring upgrades to each race and then slowly upgrade the car into the one from the previous year 😂
It was allowed in the past, I don't know if something changed recently.
I mean it’s been done before. Ferrari for the first couple races in 2001 used their 2000 car cuz the F2001 wasn’t ready for Australia.
Not necessarily.
The chassis regulations changed so no
Otmar being your team's TP is as good as it gets. He's been adding value to team's that he has been a part of and when he got sacked by Alpine I said f*ck it, They're doing to regret that. And here we are. I'm not surprised.
Uh, except Aston
The biggest problem with Alpine is ..... its french. The only talent left there is Gasly. They got rid of all their other talent - Szjafnauer, Prost, and nearly all the pthers who have resigned or fired. I really feel for Gasly because his reputation is taking a tanking. What needs to be done is to do away with Viry and putting everything in siue in Enstone. Only the name shuld be maintained as it is their engine - and that if Renault wants to remain in F1. I am of the opinion that Alpine have invested heavily in their WEC project and the scraps go to their side gig, the A424. Everything in their launch screamed this fact. This is a clear declaration of intent for '25 and beyond ..... HAAS has some competition for the current 10th spot. I still want to see 12 teams on the grid though so selling to Andretti is not responding to this desire for more competition.
I’m an Alpine and Ocon fan so part of the problem in my opinion was Laurent Rossi as he lead the team with an iron fist and butted head with Otmar frequently. In 2021 when Marcin Budkowski was let running the team there was sense of direction, team unity and driver stability. Ever since Laurent Rossi started bring more say to the team just started demolishing the team
Ocon fans exist?
@@bobcharlotte8724and alpine fans too??
Renault has never been fully committed to F1. They should have sold the team a while back and just remain as an engine supplier. That is where they have had the most success. They won as a constructor with Alonso but that was with Flavio in control so I'm not so sure that was any different to being an engine supplier anyway because Flavio would not have paid any attention to what the Renault executives were saying.
Renault only fully committed to F1® asa a engine supplier, isn't it?
Considering that they only gained about one tenth of a second on their early-season 2023 car compared to their 2024 car at Bahrain, it's likely that in real-terms the A524 has _gone backwards_ in terms of development, which is frankly absurd when there hasn't been a major technical regulation overhaul, let alone for an _engine-backed works team;_ a context that cannot be overstated given how badly Alpine are doing at the moment.
It’s not Ryan Reynold’s team dude, he’s simply an investor like a number of other celebs.
Yes but the tabloids have leapt on this.
Great video,
If Renault sell it i will begin to see a cycle on it,
Renault buying benetton got some success, then got a downfall and sell it to Lotus, years later buy it again got some success(4th place on constructors with the 3 megastructures we know on front is a good achievement in itself),then fall again and maybe will sell it, as a french i begin to understand why some thinks we are weak minded and have tendancy to give up and be impatient, even if i prefer the likes of mercedes and ferrari(who gives me hop thnx to fred vasseur).
3:05 Easy there, dont give Mazepin any idea that he was justifiably frustrated with Gunther.
The Mazepin family were convinced that there were two completely different cars. He was complaining that Mick was faster down the straights not realising it was caused by Mick being faster in the corners.
I think it's set enstone that Alpine has no idea what they are doing in F1 anymore
Maybe he can at least make Apline better at football and lead them to glory on the pitch
As a portuguese i could't be more happy to see Monteiro on that podium.
Good for him.
When a team lacks a leader and a direction!,
It’s just so French 😅😅😅
Gotta wait for the 5th alpine Republic for things to function again lol
The problem with Alpine is that too many corporate people, who know nothing about racing, i.e. Renault, are trying to control something they don't comprehend.
Andretti could buy Alpine's F1 entry without the facilities. A bit like how Lawrence Stroll bought Force India's facilities but not their entry in 2018, but reversed this time.
If it can really happens, Andretti-Cadillac could be still using Renault engine.
"Alpine!? What the heck is that?!" Brilliant American accent haha
He does nail is pretty good.
Not really but made a good point nonetheless
When everyone pointed out the amount of exposed carbon on their car at launch, the team put up an instagram post the following day mockingly pointing out said exposed carbon. I wonder if they realize now that was rather foolish?
Feels like getting rid of Otmar was the beginning of the end. He seemed exactly who they needed. I'd be curious to know exactly why they dropped him.
france and britain are supposed to hate each other, now the french are copying them. that’s a historical downfall. 😭😭😭
Ryan Reynolds, Rob Macelheny, Michael B Jordan, Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes aren't to blame for Alpine's troubles, that lies at the feet of Alpine's majority owner in Renault
Otmar was sacked because he was Rossi’s scapegoat. Problem is most was Rossi’s fault, but he took Otmar down with him.
Otmar didn’t do himself any favors though with the way he handled the Piastri situation. He hurt his own reputation covering Alpine, Rossi mostly, who ended up firing him anyway. I lost a lot of respect the way he criticized Piastri’s character when he did nothing wrong and it was Alpine that screwed up.
I think I give Ryan Reynolds a little more credit. Sure the guy will take advantage of his status in his business ventures, but I don’t think it speaks any to his sincerity. And didn’t he just start investing last year?
Don't have an aneurysm, nobody is calling Alpine "Ryan Reynolds team". He is referred to as an investor, or part owner. As far as celebrities in F1, almost every driver is these days, along with about half the Team Principals.
Check some of the headlines and use it for SEO. That's the joke for this video.
Haas isn't improved because of Steiner, they're improved because Steiner is gone. Haas had the budget to be better, they were spending it in the wrong areas. Komatsu is actually taking a systematic approach to improving. Steiner didn't have the engineering background needed to lift up a poor performing team.
When the video opens with a Mint Mobile commercial 😅
Yet F1 says Andretti is not a viable team while we live through the alpine failure
They might have saked Szafnauer exactly for this reason, selling the team, when you have a high level manager who wants to go into a direction the ownership doesn't want to go...
Just an idea but I do believe Jordan is right it looks like they want out and as such they are trying to make themselves as cheap as possible? Buh
I think the point is that they dont want to spend any money to make the team worth 💰. They basically gave up and are shopping for a buyer. So might as well stop spending money on it and cut your losses and sell
@@ergoproxy-gx2cq They don't need to add value. The team is already worth a lot. Sauber was bought by Audi for £500 (650mil USD) Alpine will be valued higher than that - Reynolds bought 25% share for £250mil ($320mil usd). Any spending they do just subtracts from the profit from the sale.
I feel like this is a ongoing joke of Alpine claiming they are going to build super cars despite they only have one 😂😂😂
Otmar’s talent management failings ruined him.
It’s not enough to put pieces together, the Principle must orchestrate those pieces. Otmar failed in orchestrating his stable of a World Champion and a rising Australian superstar, LOSING BOTH, leaving him with only an unpleasant French menace in need of another unfortunate “teammate”.
Eddie Jordan is wrong. Again.
Yeah its fitting they change their name to All Pain .
Regardless getting the people who have the money to invest in F1 is a good thing, But to me I still think Andretti should be on the grid, it's more money in the long run, teams whining about end of season money. Andretti vs Haas as a American team in the sport, let's vote on that.
The "eleven kilos overweight" is a social media rumor. Pierre Gasly has refuted that number, and said its closer to 2 kilos.
If you're going to repeat something as if it had some basis in fact, you should name your source for that info.
If that's true, then we can officially say this is the worst team of the grid, which managed to make the worst car of the grid by far in just one season of management changes, no excuses.
I am getting tons of advertising for alpine on youtube videos right now , with new cars and all their racing projects so i dont think they are going anywhere. Looks like they are investing in the brand .
Flawless American accent. Feel free to hop across the pond to join us in our daily loud and proudly ignorant conversations about world events we don't understand and refuse to learn about.
Over here Sargent is currently leading in the driver's championship while Haas is somehow top of constructors. Also no French drivers or teams exist, Red Bull is Australian since no one knows where or what Austria is, and Mario Andretti is far and away the greatest F1 driver of all time. Which he dominated before getting bored and coming back here for a real challenge in Indy.
We did just all learn that Lance Stroll is actually Canadian and not some rich kid from NY or California. It's the first time many of us have ever not instantly liked a neighbor from the North and we're not sure how to feel about it.
calling this Ryan Reynolds team is a bit of an exaggeration - hope it get's you views though!
The joke is in the video.
Alpine enstone was never anything to do with jordan, Jordan became what is now Aston Martin
@LawVS..well i don't agree with your opinion..not embarassing at all ..but just normal scene so far...Ryan Reynold is a professional actor not a professional racer..Ryan Reynold is paid by F1..for to be great ambassador so far..what's embrassing for Ryan?..well i only see positive things from him all this time👌
I'm counting the days of Alpine closing. 0 backup.
Poor Monteiro, one of the few portuguese F1 drivers and basically the only one *semi* succesfull due that day lol
At least we got Antonio Felix da Costa on FE I guess
Don't forget Pedro Lamy.
@@simonkevnorris yeh but I believe he had a shorter career, altough probably *actual* better results than monteiro
Alpine / Renault has been a laughing stock for some seasons now, making changes in all the wrong spots... wouldn't surprise me if they finished deadlast this season and get bought up by Andretti
**Eddie Jordan says, **14:08****
Andretti & GM: *Side eye intensifies*
Edit: Dear Lofty, can you make a video talking about this being a possibility?
maybe they should remove just a little more paint perhaps?
Dirk de Beer was here for a while and has had quite a poor track record prior to his time at Alpine (including being responsible for 2018's Williams' aero). This car is from Otmar's time, yeah the leadership has sucked overall prior to this year but Otmar played a part in it too. Let's hope it will get better now, at least Famin seems to be more aware of a lot of the underlying issues
how is it all of a sudden ryan reynolds team never knew he was a majority owner i thought it was owned by alpine/renault
Finally! Somebody said it out loud 😊 Thank you very much 🎉🎉🎉
Never heard anyone call Alpine Ryan Reynold's team... like what? He is just a sponser and not even a title one. No one calls Redbull, Oracle's team.
Check news articles.
@@LawVS news articles confirm what most people already know which is that he's just an investor. He's part of an investment company that owns 24% of the team - his personal stake will be a fraction of that again. He has no say in how the team is run, it's not by any stretch of the imagination his team.
I do believe Szafnauer does have a Ceiling to how high he can take a Team. I also believe that he was far from reaching that with Alpine and would have left a solid Base for the next TP had he been allowed to do so.
I feel bad for Pierre, not Alpine. Hopefully, he can get out of there with a ride somewhere else.
😂😂😂😂 Naaaaaah. Karma for insisting to go back to RB, plus erratically dissing Perez like a drunk monkey. Yeah, I have sympathy for drivers with balls, not for posers and whiners. I enjoy seeing PG and DR all somber when they failed their ploys - and I am a Stake fan, mind 😂
@LathropLdST Didn't say or insist. I just like the guy as a driver. Bruh, I'm just chilling. Take that trolling stuff elsewhere.
1:15 I don't know who montiero is
Monteiro, on the other hand...
This is the recipe for a 2026 change of Formula buyout, a Brawn-style 'Reynolds F1' and them winning everything! 😅
What a stupid click bait title as he doesn’t own it like he does the football team. Him and a few other celebrities have invested into it. You might say this in the video but because of the title I’m not watching it and it’s a thumbs down unfortunately.
The joke is in the video. It's what the tabloids do.
Bottom line, there always has to be a car/team at the back of the grid.......... so they should stop crying.
2:40 nice to see how they put the driver's name in such huge letters on the lower side of the car back then, Russell is still doing well after all those decades.
imaging ryan with Lando piastri or with alonso but nah😭😭😭mid
Increasingly French team not getting along and can't find a solution to their woes? Shocking...
Its happening
No more Alpine
Get used to "Ryan Reynolds F1 team"
I felt some secondhand embarrassment for Tiago Monteiro in that fateful day... I think the team's crew felt the same.
I can’t see alpine getting higher than 6th this year 😮
And I hope Racing Bulls can getting 6th place this season.
Eddie Jordan doesn’t waste money. I’ve seen him on normal flights between Dublin and London.
Truly rich people don't feel the need to wear their monies. They look for ways to keep them or add to them.
Big plot twist it was Andrettis plan all along.
LOL
When Hollywood actors want to be seen hanging around F1 teams.
F1 teams be like, "Just get your checkbook and shut up"
I gave you a thumbs up despite the WOODEN SPOON remark🙄
Andretti be licking their lips watching this Alpine saga unfold.
Because Oscar doesn't really say anything overly horrible, every single little bit he does gets attention. The smirk when they're mentioned in interviews, the wink with Fernando on TikTok, etc. Until they get their ish together, Fernando and Oscar will throw shade for years to come. And it's easy to laugh at Alpine now so I don't blame them
@LawVs Change of lighting to more natural and bright is most welcome. The yellowish brown hues were growing decidedly dull and dark to the video viewer's eyes
the french might give up as its the only thing they are good at
😂😂😂
So... one of the most historic and decorated teams in F1, a 'manufacturer team' no less, is being mismanaged in to oblivion by Renault - well done!
No wonder they rebranded as Alpine... can you imagine how much more embarrassing it would be for the Renault F1 team to slide out of F1?
So... Does this mean Andretti can have a place on the grid..? I presume they now can clam both a spot and a better business case than Renault!?!
11:31 😂😂😂 love your videos and the way you also have great humor! Thanks Law!
Renault to Alpine was a foot out the door
Going with the old saying, a car manufacturer running a team is going to mess it up. If you add the complete incompetence of Rossi before and de Meo now in terms of what is F1 and in the end you can't cancel over 150 years of history just talking about inclusion and diversity. What's the name of the train station that takes you straight to Paris...
Eddie is trying really hard to stay relevant. Sorry Eddie by they way yellow was great choice of colour.
Otmar is also trash. Piastri and alonso left during his watch.
To be fair, by the time he arrived and properly settled in, the damage was done. He basically arrived right when it fell apart.
@LawVS Funny fact is we're taking so lightly Lewis Hamilton after 2021...if you ask me you can't write him off if he gets a similar car to Max's car remember i'm not saying better just equally similar, once he gets his first win against Max once again he'll be back beating Max on a regular basis...I think Lewis and max is the same blood when it's comes to winning mentality the only difference is Max is riding a winning horse and high on confidence and Lewis riding a slow and weak horse with very low confidence..
But someone has to be last.
EJ never had any money when running his team. Just goes to show that the adage is true. "To make a million in F1, start with a billion."
It’s the Ryan Renolds effect, they’re comedically failing, it’s funny to laugh at them
I love my Wagon R 5 speed manual 2008 1100cc else I'd ask Pierre and ocon to drive it,they'll be last but atleast the seat reclines well.and has great A/c😁😁
Rossi may not have been the issue after all... lol And, why wasn't there the huge outcry about Mercedes and Hammy winning everything under the sun when were doing it, but Red Bull, the world is falling into the sun... WTF?
Hi! I was wondering if it ever crossed your mind doing What If cenarios type of content like in MasakoX about Dragon Ball but this time about F1? For example " What If Nico Rosberg never retired?" or " What if Danny Ricciardo never left Redbull?" I know it is not new but I really like your storytelling, love the content anyway, keep up!
Watch alpine pull a McLaren
5sec penalty for ocon
Never thought a man climbing up a ladder would give me such joy.
i agree they are not good enough ,rather let a ream like Andretti in ,im sure they will put up real competition
They should hire LawVS
The french with a three pronged cooperative approach to engineering? I've studied enough aviation to know how that ends XD
Porsche should make an offer to buy Alpine.
someones gotta be last and its been williams for awhile.
I just want the whole alpine thing and renault gone and rebrand it as Lotus which could rise from the ashes of distrust and half heartedness like a phoenix to glory.
It's not like Reynolds is a sole investor....his investment group owns 20 something percent of Alpine. This makes him a minor stakeholder but right its now "Ryan Reynold's F1 Team" LOL
I like how you just attached his name to the video and also this content as "clickbait"
As an American I just want andretti so I have a team to root for not just Logan Sargeant 😭
