@Neurolicious as a European*
Robert Ranciato you are or you’re
“Why is this law so?”
U.S. Government: “That doesn’t matter.”
You know it’s serious when Joe says “Is it possible” instead of “It’s entirely possible”
I feel so sorry for this guy, he is a real hero
Alexia, are you better than the NSA?
Yes: I don't need a warrant to eavesdrop!
Soda King Who’s Alexia?
Umm... neither does the NSA... That was sort of the ENTIRE point of what E.S. was trying to bring to light.
The Greatest Man That Ever Lived
Oh, well from a legal stand point, yes; but from the perspective of real like, no; they don’t.
"I've never had a negative interaction from being recognized" :O
Matt Powers - The Permaculture Student, I think it’s because the people who know who he is are overwhelmingly people who appreciate him and understand what he did. The dumb masses of bootlickers who hate him haven’t spent any time looking at his face or pondering his perspective.
@@SSPspaz peace has its protection. He's obviously a man at peace. I'm relieved to hear him speak! :)
@Manny Santiago, if that was going to happen, it would've happened a LONG time ago. His greatest shield is his notoriety. If anything happens to Snowden, it would be obvious who did it - which is not good for publicity. At the end of the day, the CIA/NSA aren't the freaking Gestapo or the KGB. When they do things, they don't want blowback. Their agendas revolve around quiet operation, not instilling fear in the population.
@@jasonablah7702, maybe I should've clarified. Blowback =/= disruption. They meddle in all kinds of things abroad, and do many disruptive things - proxy wars, regime change, political assassinations, etc. But they don't want blowback for those things. The various alphabet agencies want to maintain some level of plausible deniability and shy away from actions that implicate them directly. This is because the United States is a mostly free society with a free press. Whereas "secret police" like the KGB always wanted people to know when they did things because it would instill fear in the population and make them easier to control.
@@jasonablah7702, oh I believe it. Especially early on. Then again, that could've totally been a psy-op attempting to manipulate compliance or get him to surrender. Has the government had people like Snowden killed before? I wouldn't doubt it. But would they do it an any way where it was clearly able to be traced back to them? Probably not.
This is Jason Bourne of real life. Let that sink in for a second.
No disrespect CK, but why not say “this is the real life Jason Bourne.” Becausehe is without a doubt...
Although I doubt he's as physically rigorous or is as capable with firearms. He was associated with intelligence collection. Not assassinating high value targets in highly populated areas and remaining invisible. Good guy though.
Committed a technical breach of law ,but no moral breach at all. He’s a great American
I learned a long time ago, there's only two points to life.... you either live to be happy and make your friends/family happy.... or you live to make humanity better. One will leave you forgotten in 2 generations, the other will let you live on in history.
Think about it... how much does anyone know about their great-great-grandparents? Their names? Their personalities? Their hobbies? Their jokes? Their great moments? Unless they were a key part of history, it's likely you know nothing about them, and they are forgotten by all of humanity.
” they're saying face the music, face the music. I'm saying great -- let's pick the song ”
creating the ability to pick your own battle is agency, doesn't mean that the battles won't have risks involved
