I have no idea why UA-cam recommended this video to me, but that was really bloody interesting to see. Quality driver at work.
Hi David thanks for watching, glad you found it of interest.
Same here. Love your work Steve!
Hi Steve, I don’t normally delve into the comments section, but I felt I had to after this video. I am a class 1 HGV driver and know how stressful other motorists can make my day. Not only was your driving utterly flawless, must have been 70ft long, your temperament is something I could only wish for. Keep up the fantastic work mate, keep safe. Thanks, Gary.
Thanks Gary for watching and kind comments, much appreciated mate.
@@HeavyRecoverywithSteve I ride a motorbike (about 10,000 miles a year) and have a lot of respecct for HGV drivers, they're normally right on the ball.
Watching you work on the hard shoulder there was making me shudder 😳
I was a bus driver in the past. Driving such a long monster through narrow streets is out of my mind. Very good job.
Thanks for watching , Cheers.
That’s driving on another level. I think his driving is at such a high level due to his relaxed temperament, great video 👍
Thanks for watching Ashley, glad you liked it.
It’s insane who you were able to go through those streets! Amazing driving
Thanks for watching.
Patience of a saint Steve!
Some car drivers with awful attitudes where you went. Their manner of driving will only gain them a few seconds at best.
It's London haha
Thanks for watching Jack.
Bloody hell! Being a local my hat goes off to you menuvering around that part of town! You’re a very capable driver Steve!
Thanks for watching Jamie.
No idea why UA-cam recommended this to me but glad it did! Really enjoyed the video, great insight into the driving of extra long vehicles!
Thanks for watching and welcome , glad you enjoyed it.
Jag driver: I'll just squeeze in here next to an artic on tow on a roundabout and hope I don't get squished 🤦
The through town driving is the best bit of the videos imo 👍
should have dragged the trailer along his nice jag
That's assuming they have any coherent thoughts at all lol I deal with that all the time here in the states
I’m an acting student and honestly I don’t know how I found your channel but I’ve been subscribed for awhile. I’m addicted to your videos and it’s really made me develop a love for what you do! Keep up the awesome work mate!
Thanks for watching and subscribing, glad you liked the videos.
i just realized all of your video is so satisfying to watch, all the tool are neat, how calm you are, and your driving skill is just impressive.
Thanks very much for watching and kind comments.
Your job is so much more dangerous then over here in the Netherlands, we got red crosses on the matrix sings to block off lanes and a roadinspector to cover behind us, we are not allowed to work like this. Respect Steve!
Thanks for watching and comments , we try and keep all our workings to the nearside away from a live line . But we can call on Highways to attend and get lane closed but that depends on there resources , normally we our expected to work on the motorway with no cover.
It’s such a refreshing change to see someone who really enjoys their job and has such pride in their work as well as health and safety. New Sub 👍
Thanks for watching and subscribing much appreciated.
I drive a decent-sized 7.5 tonner delivering sofas and that can be tricky sometimes, narrow streets, tight spots to reverse into etc but nothing anywhere near this level! Absolutely brilliant driving mate. A joy to watch. :)
Thanks for watching mate , getting them sofas through them front doors takes some doing as well.
I always taught my daughter, If you're following an HGV, FFS stay well back, and if you'rebehind a breakdown vehicle wjth a dead truck behind it, stay even further back. She's witnessed the carnage that may follow, so hopefully she wont get involved.
Take care Steve, Love the videos,,,,
Thanks for watching John , good advice mate all the best.
This behaves just like one of those rigids with a dolly you'd see in Sweden. The skill it takes to do what you did. You've had me glued to my screen.
Thanks very much for watching,
Hats off, you're a true pro. Nerves of steel, patience of a saint.
Hi Al thanks for watching kind comments cheers.
I can’t believe there were no plastic police to cone off a lane for that recovery. Usually they cone off 2 lanes for a blade of grass on the road 😂 you’ve earned yourself another subscriber Steve stay safe nice to see a professional like yourself at work 👍👍👍
Thanks for watching and subscribing , your very welcome cheers.
I wondered same thing.
Balls of steel backed up with incredible amount of skill. Hats off to you mate, insane driving
Thanks very much for watching, Cheers.
man you are something else!!! freaking hell what a great channel!!!! all the best pal 👍
Thanks very much for watching, glad you like it, Cheers.
Never thought that a UK version of Ron Pratt's channel would exist but here we are. He does an identical job but in the Midwest.
Thanks very much for watching, i am glad you found me.
I love how you're so calm, no way I could deal with the stress of this! Fantastic job!
Thanks for watching, try to keep calm getting stressed out only leads to mistakes in this job.
Good to see someone so diligent in their work! Thanks for taking the time and effort into uploading this for us all.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Nottingham City Transport double decker bus driver here , respect to you Steve for the sterling job you are doing in and around London .
I thought we had loads of traffic in Nottingham , well it's nothing compare to what you are used to .
Keep up the excellent work you are doing pal👍👊
Gabriel
Hi Gabriel thanks very much for watching , much appreciated.
Its not the fact, that you towed this masive load through london, its how easy and relaxing you make it look :-) Amazing! Thx for sharing!
Thanks for watching, your very welcome.
Another fascinating video Steve. Basically similar to others but the added complications thrown in for good measure, and all handled calmly and professionally as usual. Thanks for sharing.
Hi John thanks very much for watching and kind comments.
This is my first time watching one of your vids and I don't think I've ever been so glued to the screen!
Thanks very much for watching Danny, glad you like it.
What a pro driver! I couldn’t do what you do and make is look so easy! You’re very calm and relaxed! Amazing work! Great job mate!
Thanks very much for watching, Cheers.
Simply amazing to see you at work and you even take the time to answer to every comments you receive under your videos. Keep it up mate 👌
Thanks for watching, i feel very grateful for everyone who's watching and interested in the job i do , so feel only right to respond back.
Looking in your rear view mirrors going round the roundabout gave me the sweats! Bloody length of that thing. Hats off to you mate, i'd be a crying wreck of a man. Not for me LOL!
Thanks for watching.
Absolutely fantastic! Has to be one of the best vlogs out there!
Hi Jonathan, was my last job i did this Friday, glad you liked it.
It's always a pleasure to watch you Steve your always calm
Your very welcome Mohammad.
UA-cam algorithm bought me here - so I watched it all. Glad I did. I do try and give way, make room and get out of the way of lorries as I've had a few deliver supplies to me and I watch them struggle on my road so appreciate the skill. Great to see it from 'inside the cab' though as it gives a different perspective. Nice to see you thank others when they try and help - not many do! Subbed!
Hi Jaimin thanks for watching and subscribing Cheers.
Sir - I am mighty impressed with your driving. The absurdity of towing such a long and heavy vehicle through such streets whilst dealing with the clueless drivers like that Jag that desperately try to get their cars crushed - whilst maintaining such a calm demeanour is very impressive. Well done!
Thanks very much for watching, much appreciated.
Hats off to you Steve, great driving skills, nerves of steel and cool as a cucumber dealing with the impatient drivers just wanting to gun past you..
Hi Liam thanks for watching and commenting, glad you liked it.
Genuinely impressed. I used to to 7.5T recovery of 3.5T vans which is much more simple. Interesting video, thanks!
My God !! Such a great driver. Tight turns, Not a problem for Steve. ❤️❤️
Thanks Muhammad for watching,Cheers.
Hi Steve. It is really impressive that you went straight into the deep end towing heavies without spending time in artics! Your videos are really educational. Do you remember MV Recovery in Croydon? They used to do heavy recovery back in the day.
Thanks very much for watching ,glad you enjoyed video hope brings back fond memories, MV recovery do remember the name.
@@HeavyRecoverywithSteve Just discovered your channel and enjoying the videos, I feel like this is a job I would love to do, but how would someone get into it without a load of experience driving arctics?
Love those shared experiences, great work, mate, thanks a bunch!
Thanks very much for watching , your welcome.
Beautifully done - one of the most skilled jobs I've seen. Very well handled with the state of some of those car drivers standards too. Hats off.
Thank you very much!
Hiya Steve - Just watched 7 or so off you’re videos. Excellent and strangely insightful & interesting! Keep them coming mate
Thanks for watching the channel much appreciated, will do mate but not always possible to film the jobs.
Great videos mate keep them coming ! Crazy stuff
Thanks Jay for watching.
Love the way everything has a place on the tow truck, even the half-shafts.
Hi Peter thanks for watching , well kitted out now.
Wow, testament to you for remaining so calm, absolutely incredible driving.
Thanks very much for watching Gary, Cheers.
True professional mate fair play to you no shortcuts being taken whatsoever u are a credit to the industry 👏
Thanks very much for watching, much appreciated.
I swear, sometimes The YT algorithm knows what I want to watch better than I do!! Absolutely no idea how I ended up here but it was well worth it. Very interesting to see up close a world of work that I know nothing about and couldn't ever be capable of doing (I mean, I'm a nurse for crying out loud 😅) I take my hat off to you mate, seriously! I felt quite anxious just sitting here watching you having to work on the edge of the M25 like that and then that's just mad skills on display there with the driving!! Seriously though, some car drivers!! WTAF?! If I'm in my car and I see you, I'm doing everything possible to either keep or get out of your way and let you do your job!! Thankfully, it seems that most people think similarly...but there always seems to be a berk around every corner! Great work mate, thanks for sharing 👍
Thanks for watching , glad you found in interesting.
That was some impressive driving Steve! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching.
This is the content I've been looking for!
Hi Dom thanks for watching , glad you liked it Cheers.
One of the most interesting videos I have watched in a while!
Thanks so much for watching, glad you liked it.
Not sure why I got recommended this video but I'm glad I did I was hooked and intrigued from start to finish! Great job and will be subscribing to watch more 😊
Hi James, thanks for watching and subscribing, glad you liked it.
I love the insight to driving the recovery truck, i'm a sucker for engines, ,must be fun to have so much Torque at your disposal! Thanks for the video!
Thanks very much for watching.
Grew up round Uxbridge, cannot begin to explain how impressive getting something that long through those roads is - cracking job!
Thanks very much for watching William, Cheers.
The UA-cam algorithm has blessed me with this content!
Thanks very much for watching.
All I can say is wow, great work, that is a long old train but you made that look easy. Well done great work.
Thank you very much!
10/10 good work, ty for your service
Thanks very much for watching Dwayne.
Cracking job, great video, no boring days on that job
Thanks very much for watching Paul, every days different mate.
First time watching I take my hat off to you sir. Very well done 👏👏👏👏👏
Hi John thanks for finding me, hope you liked it.
Hi Steve, hats off for how clean and tidy your equipment is… I struggle with that!! 😂😂 see you around 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks very much for watching, will do Cheers.
That blue jaguar🤦♂️🤣 great channel Steve! Keep up the good work👌
Thanks! Will do!
Absolutely incredible driving! I do love driving but this is one job I would not want to do!
After watching your videos I'll be giving a lot more time and room for heavy vehicles in the future 👍.
Thanks for watching Jacob , Cheers.
I don't know why on earth UA-cam recommended me this but I absolutely loved all of this. You gained a sub lad.
Thanks for watching and subscribing, glad you liked it.
You wrecker guys are awesome, been picked up 3 times in my career, 2 times clutch failure, one air loss! (wrecker/reccer)
Thanks very much for watching , glad my colleagues have been of help to you in the past , great blokes out there willing to help.
Amazing work, some man! So calm it’s infectious.
Thanks for watching Dave, Cheers.
You got one more sub , that driving is next level 🙏
Thanks very much for watching and subscribing.
Sublime Steve as always great stuff👍🏻
Thanks for watching Spencer much appreciated.
Another great video Steve looking forward to another one soon hopefully 👍 👍
Thanks for watching , hopefully find something interesting to film soon.
I'm just about to start my 4th week as a Class 2 HGV driver and I've already scratched one car with the swing out and kissed a boulard with the side guard, so I have even more admiration for the skill and knowledge you have negotiating these road trains lol
Hi Mate thanks for watching , we all make mistakes mate dont let it get to you. These bollards our a real pain for us all on corners you loose them in the mirrors and before you no it your on them.
Yeah don't be put off by it - we've all done it. My first year of driving HGVs I took bits of plastic off the truck, reversed into things, clipped stuff with my swing. Moving onto artics, I dropped a trailer on its knees, had a rollaway when hooking up (thankfully it was facing towards a bay...), hit another unit with my nearside when reversing between two trucks... I pull petrol tankers now and have been accident free (touchwood) for 6 years 😎
Cracking bit of driving that Steve, well done mate! :)
Thanks very much for watching lee, much appreciated.
Great job. I enjoyed this. And local knowledge too.
Hi thanks for watching Andrew, glad you enjoyed it.
Just found your channel…..Really enjoying your videos 🙂
Welcome! thanks for watching Steve.
Not a HGV driver or anything. But that was absolutely fascinating. Amazing tbh. Great driving. And so calm.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Showed up on my recommended by UA-cam (clearly the YT algorithm is showing this everywhere!), despite never watching anything like this before, nor anything motor related. But it was really fascinating, didn’t think I’d watch a whole 35 mins of it but I’d do that again for hours! Subscribed!
Though we do have respect for you guys when we are driving and see you working on the side of the road. Carefully slowing down, giving as much space as possible if we can’t move over, hazards on briefly to wake up anyone behind us who’s not paying attention.
Thanks for watching and subscribing Samuel.
Gosh those were tight turns great driving skills buddy.
One of my travel goals is to ride the red double decker London bus one day 😊
There is nothing better than watching a professional showing off his skills and doing his job superbly! I used to drive artics and have ridden up front with you boys once or twice myself when I broke a motor! You lads are pretty damn good at what you do! Well done. Very much enjoyed the video, with the added bonus of finding it to be in my local area too! Excellent! 😁😁😁
Thanks for watching and kind comments much appreciated, glad you notice i was in your local area.
the first time i have watched that GREAT ENGINEERING AND DRIVING. WELL DONE.
Thanks for much for watching the channel.
Like your channel you are often on roads I am familiar with. You had my sympathy on the large roundabout, I had not always had lights on it.
Hi Roger thanks for watching, i put the beacons on and hoped for the best going threw Uxbridge.
hi steve that was fastest ive seen you move , but i dont blame you in the slightest cheers 4 uploading m8
Hi Stu ,your welcome thanks for watching.
Nicely done. Nice wrecker your driving. The place I served my diesel mechanic apprenticeship in has their own MAN 30.331 that was mainly used to recover bulker trailers that had gone over on the landfills. It did tow-ins for other customers as well. Its retired now and is only a show truck. Only just stumbled on this video, I'll be looking for more. Cheers.
Thanks for watching Jim , glad you liked it mate.
Magnificent driving! Very skilled you are.
Thanks very much for watching, glad you liked it.
I just found this channel and I'm fascinated by this
Thanks for watching, glad you found it of interest.
Amazing job Steve.
As someone who lives in another contry and drives on the opposite side of the road it was very funny to watch this video.
Especially the roundabout, going anticlockvise was really strange. :D
Thanks for watching , i bet it did look different.
Really well done indeed.
I'll be watching 👀 you from Alaska.
Hi Gary thanks very much for watching from Alaska.
Somehow ended up stumbling across your vides and now I’m addicted!!!
Fantastic job on the one with the quick load up.
Surprised highways didn’t show up.
Your driving through those small streets was on point! Well done mate.
I’m a Wycombe lad myself and see your trucks quite often.
It would be a dream come true if you were to give me an opportunity for a ride along one day as I am passionate about big vehicles?
Hi Raj thanks very much for watching, glad you enjoy channel. The company has a base in Wycombe but i ran out from sub base in Surrey , you be welcome if i get that way.
London is a nightmare but the lo-loader driver and his knowledge should not go a miss very helpful.
Hi William thanks for watching, driver very helpful and a nice chap to.
Top job, excellent heavy pull through traffic👍
Thanks very much for watching.
Everything is so clean. I see you take good care of your tools.
Thanks for watching, try to keep things tidy and in there proper place.
Excellent comments Spot on A true Professional 👍
Thanks very much for watching Lynn.
What a legend! Amazing skill!
Thanks very much for watching, Cheers.
Brilliant, you are one hard working man the way you rushed to get her hooked
Thanks for watching again , much appreciated.
your skills and rally drivers skills are the same :D high level driving
As Jack said you have the patience of a saint. I am gland I don't drive a HGV but I do under stand then and the way then need extra space for doing some turns. I have seen here where I live in Ireland some funny things happen when car/van driver get close to a HGV trying to take some turns.
Hi thanks for watching Tony.
Any company would be lucky to have you. Keep it up bro
Thanks for watching Niall , very nice for to say that.
Impressive video Steve looks like a load of weights used for weighbridge calibration . Good to have fellow driver knowledge of the route you need to take . Stay safe and healthy ..
Hi David thanks for watching, had lots of nice comments about fellow driver top bloke he was.
This is pretty neat, normally YT recommend me stuff from Aussi, NZ and Sweden so this is cool insight into the UK side of towing.
Thanks for watching, glad you liked it.
I enjoyed that. Subscribed
Awesome, thank you!
That wing mirror view intimidates me
Super interesting! Thanks for sharing :)
Thanks for watching, your very welcome.
Im stunned by the fact that they didn't closed the lane next to you! So dangerous. I see them do that all the time in the Netherlands to create a safe work space and area for the tower and the stranded.
Hi thanks for watching , welcome to UK recovery.
I really like your videos 🙏 keep it up mate.
Your subscriber from Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦
Thanks very much for watching Ahmed, your very welcome.
you make it look so easy, nice one !!
Thanks for watching keith.
