Thanks for watching, much appreciated Stuart.
That, s good to see Steve your older truck working with its younger sister with another successful winching operation well done steve and your colleagues pete
Thanks for watching John.
What an awful experience for the driver trying to reverse out in the dark on such limited road / track width and then sliding into the ditch but a professional job done by Pete and yourself recovering this truck without further incident.👍👍
Thanks for watching Norman , much appreciated.
I really feel for them. It must have been an awful feeling thinking you were just about done for the day only for this to happen.
What a fantastic break down service.Making that poor driver feel at ease.Well done guys calm and collective.what a great team and company well done all😏

If I lived in one of those houses I’d be out every few minutes with a brew for each of the lads. Purely out of kindness you understand, not so I can have a nosey at all I promise 😂
I quite enjoy watching recovery and incident work. To be honest I’d likened be involved in this sort of thing in the future.

Another fascinating vlog Steve thank you! I wonder how he would have got out if you had not been able to get past his truck, he was a very lucky driver. Glad you got out alright afterwards.
Thanks very much for watching again John.
Excellent job as always Steve, nice rigging, team work, job well done 👌👍
Thanks very much for watching Michael, Cheers mate.
Ive managed to put a lorry into much the same picture as this, had 4wd capability but ground was far too wet and the left side was underwater and sinking. Waited a couple hours for a wrecker and I was out in 20 minutes, absolutely awesome job, and some of the best drivers youll see
Thanks for watching and comments , the hours always pass so slow when your waiting but glad you got recovered out ok.
Great recovery guys! I was worried about your nice truck getting scratched by the hedges but sometimes you got to do what you got to do.
Thanks for watching Tim , the hedges had a bit of give and had to get in front of truck to winch from front. No harm done to paintwork all turned out ok in end , Cheers.
Good job . You know what you are doing.👍👍
Thanks very much for watching , Cheers.
Great teamwork, that was quite a sticky job! You did great.
Hi Seth thanks for watching.
Amazing and interesting recovery Steve
Hi Chris thanks for watching , glad you liked it.
I really enjoyed watching that 🤗
Great work all round 👍
Glad you enjoyed it , thanks very much for watching.
Another great job, good work saving the swimming truck. Saw an R&S truck down at Cobham services Jcn 10 couple weeks back, was too dark to see if it was you or not but gave you a wave anyway!
Hi Tom thanks for watching, dont think was me mate, but most of the lads will wave back, used to it now with me doing a bit of filming.
Good job in a tight space for you and Pete. You almost had your 1st blooper if you'd taken the early bath lol. Stay safe out there 👍👍👍
Thanks for watching , yes nearly went lol.
Nice vid as usual 👍 well done, great job 👏
Thanks very much for watching , much appreciated.
Yo Steve I love watching your vids some day me and my friend would be self-employed and work as a breakdown service your vids give out lots of facts on how to do stuff in certain ways keep on with the good work Steve!
Thanks very much for watching Joshua, glad you like them, Cheers.
No problem mate
Great job guys, not the easiest with tight space but no problem in the end👍🇮🇪
Thanks for watching , space was tight to get decent angle to winch across it.
looked a nitemare ! excellent recovery lads ! ;-)
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for watching Rob.
You have such a cool Job...
U deserve 100k subs 💫
Thanks very much for watching.
Nice to see an upload from you Steve. You might be more busier when it’s icy or if it snows
Thanks for watching , been quite busy with winchouts with the wet weather but if snow comes it will be manic.
I’ll do my best not to be one but if I am , I hope the company call for you 🤣
amazing bits of kit
Thanks for watching John , Cheers.
Difficult job but you get it sorted job well done👍
Thanks for watching Paul.
A very good Saturday morning to you all from Wellington Somerset
Good morning to you Dave, thanks for watching.
Proper job as they say in the south west.
Tidy, safe, and all back on its 3 axles.
Thanks for watching Nick, Cheers.
Love the content! 😁
Thanks very much Charlie , your welcome.
Brilliant 🙂
Thanks for watching Steve, Cheers.
Nice job guys
Thanks very much Cheers.
Great job that was a tight place to work.
Thanks very much for watching Steph.
Nice 😊
Great job, nice and slow!
Hi Charlton thanks for watching.
Nicely done, one of those jobs where one of the US style 60 ton rotators would have been hand . . apart from not having space to get it past the patient...
Thanks for watching , a rotator would of come in handy to lift and slew the rear of the truck out of ditch whilst i winched from front. But we got by with Pete using his top boom and re rigging to lift out ditch.
That was an interesting one.
Hi Paul thanks for watching.
Driver was lucky it didn't go on over. Great vid as usual Steve 👍
Thanks for watching , did have a lean on poor bloke happened in darkness.
Amazing video! I really enjoyed seeing two trucks work together. Didn't know your tow trucks could reach that high up with their boom!
Personally I would have enjoyed to see the rigging process a bit more in-depth, but I can see why you chose to cut them out. Most people would probably find it boring or a bit repetitive. It was nice to see a bit of change from the usual roadside recovery videos! (But keep those coming also hehe)
Keep it up please! You're my favourite channel on this platform!
Hi Zoltan thanks very much for watching and kind comments ,Cheers.
That’s been a good pic for office Christmas board, rescuer Steve needs rescuing after falling in the ditch with the caption of, water rescue teams nee member 😂😂
Hi Dave thanks for watching , nearly went mate lol.
As we would say in Yorkshire, 'By 'eck lad. Tha gets thisen into sum scrapes'. 🤣🤣 Well done to you both, excellent job. (see, I can use proper English as well) 😜😉 You and Pete take care out there mate. Cheers, Norm.
Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for watching Norm, all the best.
It's always worse in reality than what comes up on camera, and on camera it looks bad. Well done guys for what must have been an extremely challenging recovery.
Thanks very much for watching Gareth, Cheers.
That’s where you could do with the Batman gadget that shrinks the truck so can get past the right spots 😂😂
Hi Dave , thought it be tight , but had to get past it.
I enjoyed watching that job, It looked very difficult and tricky until you Boys Started Doing Your Stuff I must say very PROFESSIONAL from Start to Finnish even the commentary and filming 👍🏻✅🇬🇧
Thanks for watching and kind comments David , i give it a go with my head cam and hope for the best mate.
great job in tight quarters Steve, I would've been very uncomfortable taking a heavy truck down that tiny road. around here that probably would've been recovered with off road machines (due to the tight access)
Thanks very much Adam for watching , Cheers.
Michael Turner
Thanks for watching Michael.
Hi Steve, loved this one something a little different for you,I know you said you didn't know if it came out on camera how much it was in the ditch but it did show us how bad it was but luckily it looked like it escaped damage and also lucky you could just squeeze past it to get to the front of it to pull it,out of curiosity how many vehicles in your fleet Steve?great job Steve & dave, have a great sunday🙂👍
Thanks for watching Mark, glad you liked it mate.
Who's Dave lol
Who is ‘Dicker’?
The Dicker is my work colleague from R&S again i have known him for over 20 years, thanks for asking he love that lol.
Nice piece of team work , bet the poor bloke does'nt deliver there again !!
Thanks for watching Keith, yes i bet not a place to deliver in dark.
Difficult reverse at night for the 26T, guessing having access front and back, great reduced any damage on extrication?
Great work both.
Thanks for sharing.
Thanks very much for watching , your very welcome.
Very nice job Steve. But the sound of the hedge scratching your truck that was terrible Happy Holidays from Sweden;)
Hi Lasse thanks for watching , yes was worried but had to get past truck to get to front of it , no harm done to paintwork thank god.
Think I saw yourself or a colleague today going from the M4 onto the M25 around 2pm ish 19/01/2023. I saw the reg on the truck, then missed the posted 40mph and 60mph signage 😂
Hi Jonathan , thanks for watching , not sure was me at that time mate might been other driver in my old Daf XF.
Suprised you guys didnt send air the stuck truck as running an engine at that angle can’t be good? Great video as per. 👍 tight squeeze 😂
Hi Matty thanks for watching and commenting, unfortunately the air tanks and air drier was on the nearside half way along underneath the body in the ditch. Otherwise i would of run a air line out to it , also the park brake operates the front wheels of the truck and had no air in system .Engine started ok with no oil light on dash otherwise i be getting wet that day as last result if did not start, Cheers mate.
Hiiii Merry Christmas☃❄🌨🌲🌲
Happy Christmas to you , thanks for watching.
@@HeavyRecoverywithSteve Thank youu :) 🌨❄
Oh a rover P6 near the site!
Thanks for watching , i missed the P6 on filming.
That was a difficult job Steve, did you have to back the trucks out at the end or could you turn.
Thanks for watching Paul , were both able to turn lucky enough.
I have a little question, in past videos when pulling a lorry, why is it that you have take out the halfshafts/center driveshaft? Can’t you just put the lorry in neutral?
Hi Jonah thanks for watching , we have to disconnect the drive to gearbox to safeguard and potential damage as per manufacturers instructions . Even with manual gearbox and in neutral or engine idling the gearbox internals want be lubricated sufficiently.
@@HeavyRecoverywithSteve thanks for the reply, I hadn’t considered the fact that these transmissions need active cooling and lubrication, taking out a driveshaft seems like the best solution indeed
Narrow road + muddy road + slippery+ Crash point+ a ditch with full of water + wire slings under tension + Stand on the ledges + About to fall into the water In the end, the job done successfully 🤝👏👏👏
Hi Yasir thanks for watching.
They generally have to come out as they went in as you will well know but that was an awkward pull. If ever there was a watercourse that needed culverting that’s it. Definitely not truck friendly access. I’m very surprised the banking didn’t give way and create a very difficult situation for you. I’m guessing the builders merchants driver won’t forget that drop in a hurry and won’t be in a rush for another drop there!
Thanks for watching and comments Gary.
I bet the air was blue when he felt that slip down into the ditch. Like you say he's lucky he was running light.
Hi Martin thanks for watching , yes poor man not a good place for him to deliver to.
@@HeavyRecoverywithSteve Reminded me a lot of the parts south of Hamburg where I've got family. Narrow lanes and ditches that are deeper than they look. You both did a great job getting him free and he looked mightily relieved to be back on all axles there.
do you guys not have a rotator in your fleet. im sure this would of made this jop easier. good video though
Thanks for watching , yes company has a rotator but out at time , so you work with what you got available at time.
Sir just wanted to know if you or your company have and use rotater trucks for heavy reacovering
Hi Reg thanks for watching , yes we have a Century Rotater if we need it for these jobs.
You’ll have to charge him extra for the scratch on your truck 😂
Hi Tim thanks for watching , truck escaped ok no scratches after a good wash.
That's a truly awful road.
Thanks for watching again , yes was narrow lane ,with not alot of room to get good angle for winching.
I wonder how much a recovery like this would cost?
Thanks for watching , not sure what company charged the job out.
How often do you have a 2 truck job?
Hi thanks for watching , not very often to be honest, most of my work is lift and tow work.
It must hurt to scratch your paint on purpose to get the job done. 😢
Thanks for watching , had to get past it to access front , no damage to paint work.
How often do you team up on jobs? Or is this more of a one in a blue moon kind of occurrence??
Thanks for watching Daniel, normally work on own ,but good to do a job like this with a colleague and share ideas.
Thats one job where a Rotator would have been very useful .
Hi Robert thanks for watching , yes i agree mate , it was out at the time.
What would’ve happened if you didn’t use two winches?
Thanks for watching , wouldn,t off been able to get rear truck out ditch without Pete lifting the back , it would of just run along ditch if i just winched it from the front.
hi mate i have been a hgv class 1 driver for 3 years and looking to get in to heavy recovery which way would you suggest being the quickest
Hi Edward ,i would contact your local recovery company tell them your intentions and hopefully they let you come out for a day , see whats the jobs like a go from there. I have been taking someone out for a few days and now he wants to leave his job and come full time with us . There's a shortage of heavy drivers so hopefully companies will make the effort to take you out , good luck.
@@HeavyRecoverywithSteve thank you very much Steve will have a ring around
Hi Steve, that was a very technical pull out. Very interesting.. How the hell did you get your truck back out without doing the same!!!!
Thanks for watching Gary, bit tight getting past him but once he winched out was not too bad reversing back mate.
Do you drive a manual?
Thanks for watching, yes truck is manual 16 speed.
YOU CAN'T PARK THERE SIR!
Thanks for watching , drivers last job of the day in darkness.
Does your colleague have your old truck?
Hi yes, Stuart driving my old truck now mate.
how much was the recovery?
Thanks for watching , sorry not sure how much recovery , dont get involved in job costing.
Difficult location.
Hi Robert thanks for watching , yes not a lot of room to create a good winching angle.
🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷👍👍
Thanks for watching.
Sempre tô assistindo sou trabalho com guincho aqui no Brasil
a big rotator would have picked that straight up never really been a fan of this style of truck.
Thanks for watching , our rotator was out at time , would of been better truck as you say to lift and slew rear of truck as i winched forward but you work with what you have at time.
@@HeavyRecoverywithSteve yeah so easy for things to go wrong when they are right on the edge of rollover but a job well done none the less.
Do you not need a tacho card in?
Thanks for watching , we dont have to use tacho if we keep with in a 100km radius of our base.
the camera makes the viewers dizzy
Hi Dieter , unfortunately i have to film with head cam to be able to do my job still , dont watch the towing of low loader if this video makes you dizzy mate.
This is a job where you quit, after loosing too many fingers.
Thanks for watching.
Brilllliant these are , u really do make these interesting one of the best watchable streams on you tube ...keep up the good work 😊
Thanks for watching , glad you found it of interest , Cheers.
