You're right with other African countries not leaving their comfort zones to expand their perspectives to add to their music industries. This is a global market and only the most aggressive and ambitious reap the rewards. Nobody is suddenly going to give you exposure no matter how talented you claim you are, music has always been 80% business and 20% actual music and the sooner the rest of Africa realize this, the better

As a Nigeria what I think personally, is that other countries in Africa, especially west Africa they are scared to adopt to Nigeria culture, is that, they think Nigeria is trying to infused their culture to them, you will hear them talking about Nigeria movies, naija pingin, Nigeria food, Nigeria music, Nigeria clothing, etc. And they're not happy that brother's and sister's are winning 😉.
But they're happy adopting European culture and western culture but when they see brother's and sister's they feel threatened, thinking Nigeria want to recolonized them with Nigeria culture when they have their's, and that's why they're scared to adopt to Nigeria style of music, language, & all that,😔 and that's bad, we're all Africans , we're all brother's and sister's let's forget these ugly mindset of jealousy and learn from each others, let's push Africa to the world and make it a better place to for us all and our generations to come. God bless Alkebulan 🙌 🙏 ❤

Those countries need not learn from the Nigerian Music Industry. They already have more than enough going well for them. It is Nigeria that should be learning different types of tourism from them, etc. This entertainment is not government backed, it's just the Nigerian youths reaching out above government engendered frustration. Can't Nigeria also have entertainment as its own forte? Thousands of Nigerians are already patronizing Ghanaian and South African tourism, higher institutions and hospitals, for goodness sakes. Let others also patronize Nigerian entertainment! Every country need not struggle for music!

IMO, the reason why it’s not easy for other African countries to adopt Nigerian culture it’s because they already been brainwashed to see Nigerian as a threat and bad people therefore they don’t want to know what’s in Nigeria or their culture cos their mind is already closed towards Nigerians.Even if some of these African artist are ready to adopt some of the Nigerian culture, their fan base will reign insults on them just like a new Ghana artist who goes by the name Camidoh, in his new single (Sugarcane) he used a Yoruba adage or can I say word which is (Gongo aso) and the Ghanaians jumped on him that he wants to
Force himself to be like a Nigerian but he came out and say he doesn’t care as long as the word he used goes with the message he is trying to pass.
Unlike the way Nigerians want to know what’s happening at the other end. You hear some African countries say we are ok in our zone and we don’t want to travel to anywhere but that’s not the case of Nigerians cos we are diverse people right from the onset and we are open to learn new things. Until these African countries start to see Nigerians the way we see them then I think they will be opened to adopt some of the Nigerian culture and blend it into their songs and am beginning to see few who are starting to free their minds from hate.

You guys are so full of yourselves ever since you got your Afrobeats music artistes release chart topping songs. That’s very commendable but you need to understand music is an emotional business and therefore can fluctuate. You make it seem like Nigerian artistes will keep releasing top songs while artistes from other countries sit on their hands doing nothing. So far none of the Nigerian artistes has released a song better than their previous hits…Rema, Tekno, Omar Lay, CKay and so. Their currents songs are OK and quite frankly just average. Meanwhile artistes from other African countries are stepping up and releasing better songs. What’s likely keeping these average Nigerian artistes songs in the chart is the large Nigerian population download skewing the algorithm. Now, Alicia Keys in the US collected over 5 Grammys years ago and has she repeated that? NO. Tracy Chapman won Grammys years ago and nobody knows where she is. There’re many music artistes worldwide that attained world fame with one or two songs but have not been heard from since.
Your arrogance is unbelievable. Now you expect other African countries to copy Nigerian music culture? You keep saying other African countries hate Nigerian artistes but you don’t have examples except speculations unless you call someone saying Nigeria doesn’t support other artistes hateful rather than it being his personal opinion.
Music is a small part of a country’s GDP and someone would say there’re far more important developments that Africa needs than Afrobeats. The fact that Nigeria has great Afrobeats artistes doesn’t mean Nigeria has the best schools, infrastructure, government and hospitals in Africa. Knock it off people.
