Love to see Dana again! I really like is what she said about Aventus, also when she said: it's a beautiful fragrance just not for me, yes, you can appreciate a creation but not like it, and it's totally fine. Great video thank you guys!!!
Vintage and Chypre collector here and it's Mitsouko vintage formula all the way. No way is it over rated in my opinion. I also like Hasu no Hana, Jubilation 25, vintage (I mean 60's) Miss Dior and Rochas Femme among so many. Loved the video!!
Dana is amazing!!! You should invite her more often. Maybe go deeper into some fragrances, not so many at once. Thank you, Dana, for what you said about Mitsouko!!!
I love oak moss! It’s my favorite. And your guest is magnificent! I love her aura and that turquoise jewelry? Very sophisticated lady! Please have her on more!😊
I think I’m going for a bottle of Paradisi. I’ve been looking for a good cucumber scent. I had a lotion in California from a local purveyor and it was fantastic. I still have scent memories of it. Love when you guys get together. Two of my fave noses!
Dana is back!!!!! So excited!!! And coming back with one of my favorite ingredients!! In fact I'm wearing an 80's chypre right now, Salvador Dali (my newst "blind buy". It's fun a bit soapy for my taste maybe?) And I love Salome, but I am very careful where I wear it because it is very animalic on me. I do feel like I'm in a "classy bordello", lol. And my favorite of mine in the chypre oakmoss category is Teatro Alla Scala. Again, I don't wear it for every day because it's so rich and elegant yet kinda dirty, lol.
It's nice to see Dana again! Another one that I know is pretty oak moss forward, I know it's one of the cheaper side and designer, but Chloe Nomade Absolu.
I love both of you so much. I was hoping Dana would come back. I am a huge nerd too and love learning about fragrances because it helps me appreciate them so much more. Thank you and Dana for your amazing work! 🥰🥰🥰
I f*ucking love watching you two together! I was so sad to hear you guys hadn’t seen each other in so long because in my mind’s universe you two are thick as thieves and are out in all the cool places on the regular, tearing shit up and having the best time! Oh well, you should know that you are the talk of the town and everyone wants to be able to say they know you in my little alternate universe, especially me! ❤❤❤
Welcome back, Madam! Thank you sir for returning one of the best and most knowledgeable guests of the channel. Dana, The Nose definitely Knows! Great to have you back. Please don't go away now.
Looking forward to the next video featuring her again. This one is my least favorite out of all the videos featuring her. I am happy though to watch you guys interacting with one another and sharing experiences. Learned a couple things from you guys and I am thankful for it. The ones that were purposely educational were my favorite ones. Thank you for sharing it with me,us.
Your impressions of the Paradisi really grabbed me, fascinated me, and your description made me think, hmm, could this be like, say, a lighter, greener, more garden-salad-y kind of "variation on a theme," the "theme" being...Oriza L. LeGrand Chypre Mousse? The earthiness, the mushroominess you noticed in Paradisi sounds so much like Chypre Mousse, but then this one has that cucumber-y, tomato-leaf, rhubarbiness to it. It intrigues me terribly, I so curious!
Awakening the wisdom! 😁 Dahhhhhhna always a pleasure to behold and learn from. Long videos galore. And so many fragrances in this one! The room must've smelled like a steamhouse from superheaven. 🤣 I see we share a fondness for Tabac Tabou too. Might have to agree a bit with that view on Mitsouko. At least the current stuff. Great as a historical piece but I like HG's Shangri La and Rochas Femme a bit more. Shoutout to the under-the-bridge acoustics in New York Intense. 🎷 Oohhhhhh sssnap.
I love how your channel is a learning environment, Sebastian. And I love oak moss! Thank you for sharing your learning with us! And thank you for hosting lovely Dana!
Eliminating allergens is an excercise in futility. There is always going to be someone that is allergic to anything you can think of. When people have mast cell activation syndrome (MCAS, which a LOT of people get after viral illnesses) they literally react to everything and that’s why Drs recommend fasting for these people. Imagine if restaurants started only using ingredients that no one was allergic to. They would literally be serving only water. I’m annoyed with these ever evolving restrictions on fragrances. Unless an ingredient is outright toxic and dangerous, it is obnoxious to ban it because it gave a few people a rash. I’m tired of this ever escalating nanny state of the authorities deciding what we can or can not have. I’m an adult, I can made decisions for myself, I do not need a nanny presiding over every choice I make.
I 💯 agree! Simple reason led me to the exact same conclusions (almost verbatim). It's funny, because this isn't a matter of great minds think alike ..it's just plain common sense.
I also agree with her about Mitsouko, at least current edp which is only one I’ve tried. I find it cloying and suffocating z I’ll take Rochas Femme or Diagalev any day over it.
Another great video. I always feel as though I'm being schooled when I watch your videos. Now I have some homework to research a lot of the brands you talk about that I've never heard of.
One thing about animalic fragrances, which oak moss can be, when it's something you like it, it doesn't smell animalic (in a body order or fecal way) to you. New York Intense has loads of animalic notes for example and smells great to me. Then their is Green Irish Tweed which I love on others but on me the dry down with ambergris turns me off.
Oakmoss is definitely one of my favorite ingredients in perfumery. I like the current formulation of "Drakkar Noir", but I know it isn't as good as it used to be like because of how they've greatly reduced the amount of oakmoss in it. I like "Mousse Illuminee", but I like the "Drakkar Noir" scent profile more. To me, "Mousse Illuminee" is somewhat similar to "Ted Lapidus Pour Homme", but I like it more than I like the Lapidus. I'm glad that I have a bottle of "Mousse Illuminee". I don't like "Chypre Siam": I don't smell much oakmoss in it; I get mostly civet musk with a jasmine accord which smells like bug spray.
As a chypre lover, there were so many loves in this video. Really need to get my nose on that Angeliki by Angelos Creations Olfactives. It sounds so amazing. That Jurum Paradisi is also goig onto my must-try list as we speak. Also, it was great to see Dana! Glad she'll be back around soon.
Before christmas I got a few decants from Rogue and Chypre siam smells very similar to Chanel Antaeus, I have a very old splash bottle and it is very very similar good stuff
Omg oakmoss is my favorite note on a perfume and I feel it elevates any scent profile. Abdes Salaam has a great all natural oakmoss perfume that is divine!!
Hacivat's a winner. I don't own it yet, but it's only a matter of time. It's an intriguing scent. The NISHANE guys are good. Really look forward to putting a nose on their Wulong Cha.
OMG, i have loved Nude for years! I finally found a bottle online last year and bought it. It was absolutely rancid. LOL I grieved the loss of the perfume.

Mitsouko my love
Vintage Rochas Femme. Oh. My. Goodness!
I'm with you on all the rest :)
Plus Knowing, Safari, and Magie Noire oil formula which is my absolute go-to.
@@anoseknows Oh yes, that oil is fantastic! I agree.
Dana is amazing!!! You should invite her more often. Maybe go deeper into some fragrances, not so many at once.

Love to see you guys together discussing fragrance!
I am thrilled to see Dana again! I learned so much from her previous videos with you.

So happy to see Dana today! Great topic for the two of you to cover, too!
Now I want to start a band called chypres and shoulder pads 🤣.
LOL
I missed Dana glad she is back! I like her taste in perfume!
Yay!! Haven't seen Dana on one of your videos in years.
Dana is a VERY interesting, intelligent and smart person. If I lived near her, I’d want to have lunch.
I agree with you bring Her back for more videos
Why are you skipping lunch?
@@tripler7490 Because they're eating a jump rope.
Yay Dana's back! Oakmoss is a very interesting topic, have finally appreciated this note in my fragrances

Not going, just a bit rusty and slow to get my momentum back on
Two professors of perfumery talking ingredients. Brilliant and thank you

Not at all. Oriza is cold, moist, and twighlighty, Paradisi is juicy and blinding like sun through a low jungle.
@@anoseknows Thank you!
Omg Danaaaa she's back aaaahhh
Yay,Dana's back!
I love Dana, and love oakmoss!! Thanks for always allowing us to learn from your content 🤓
My oakmoss gems are: EL Youth Dew, EL Estee, Dior Dune, Shelton Cie, CK Obsession, Paul Sebastian PS Fine Cologne and CK Escape.
Totally agree that Francesca perfumes have a thick / dark signature.. they are NOT light / sunny / airy... (Not a bad thing)!
I could listen to Dana all day, please have her back soon

Great to see Dana back ☺️
Learning so much from both of you Guys!
Yayy Dana is back! Just binged watched both of videos of different fragrance accords last week
Does Dana actually have more fragrance bottles than Sebastian?
I love how your channel is a learning environment, Sebastian. And I love oak moss! Thank you for sharing your learning with us! And thank you for hosting lovely Dana!
Thank you kindly, Nora
La Sillage Blanc is one of my favorite! I don’t usually gravitate towards oak moss fragrances and I was surprised how much I love it❤
Yaayyy Dana’s back! This was an awesome video
thank you 🙏🏼
Welcome back Dana !
Ohhh instant thumbs up!!
Giddy to see the both of you together again!!

Thnx for doing the list! So many interesting choices and Dana is so muh fun always!
I’ve held on to my bottle of Mitsouko(and Jicky) for reference and historical purposes. But….I don’t like them 😅 but can’t seem to let them go
I really enjoyed this video and it is always great to see Dana. Thank you!
many thanks
Loved the video and Dana! My favorite oakmoss fragrance is kayali’s citrus! On my skin the oakmoss is all I smell and I love it 😍
Yeeeessssssss Daasanaaaaa!!! So cool to see you together on video ❤
When your uploads incl the company of Dana or Dahlia, it feels as if the perfume Gods have blessed us!❤🎉
I'm pleased to see Dana with you after a very long time
It was fantastic-and a bit odd-so start again. But we have more on the way :)
Surprised to find not one Chanel fragrance in a chypre video! Or was it because they were too obvious picks? Haha I enjoyed this one anyhow!
Thank you for covering the greatest, most important note in perfumery. What IFRA has done to it and therefore perfumery is criminal.
I enjoyed the video and Dana's addition proved to be very informative.
I gasped! I’m so glad Dana is back! 🎉🎉❤❤❤
thank you 🙏🏼
Hi Dana !! 2 of my favorite notes ever (!!!!!!!).....oakmoss and galbanum.....and favorite class.....Chypre's !!!
Great list !!

I'm wearing Andrea Maack 'Coven' which is a very strong oakmoss fragrance. 💚
Love this note profile suggestions, I would LOVE to have a video dedicated to osmanthus or absinthe.
Angeliki is only sold on May 24th in honor of creator’s grandmother. Limited bottle production.
Yes... we miss you Dana🤩

Guerlain Mitsouko is a masterpiece for me. Marketed for women, but it's pretty unisex for me.

Nothing wrong with many 80s chypres. Not at all. I know you guys agree!
CHYPRE SIAM & MOUSSE ILLUMINÉE are in my top 10 for life❣️
Great video and I enjoyed it and I like Creed Aventus and I'm going to try the other fragrances and have a blessed day
Rogue Perfumery Mousse Illumine is amazing. I also own Francesca Bianchi Etruscan Water and that is an unbelievable chypre.
Agree with Etruscan Water
It is nice to see Dana again. We can get real chypres again!
PS Dana is wrong about Mitsouko 😂
It’s always fun when she’s your guest!
I so enjoyed this episode, please invite Dana back soon.
hang in, it's coming :)

thank you :)
I really like Oak Moss perfumes--I loved one called "Nude" by Bill Blass--such a lingering scent--but they discontinued it
OMG, i have loved Nude for years! I finally found a bottle online last year and bought it. It was absolutely rancid. LOL I grieved the loss of the perfume.
Hi Sebastian & Dana I like oakmoss & patchouly in fragrances., Your Channel for me is a Teaching & learning about notes 2-11-2023❤😊
