I think that narcs are literally compelled to do bad things. They are like a vampire.

I had a friend who said they hated certain people and would say awful things about them and yet be all over them arse licking them on facebook, they did it for their own gain and yet tried to get me to turn against those very same people. Now it makes perfect sense..

Its like a catch 22 if you fight back it only gives them more fuel if you say nothing they get their fuel elsewhere until your wiling or unwilling to expel more fuel

This is a relief to hear and so on point with the experience I had with two Narcissistic family members - mother/daughter. The sad part is the damage was done by the time I could see these traits. I am in the process of healing and recuperating while trying to manage my anger from it.

Yes, defending yourself just proves you are crazy, its an unfair game and they lead it convincing others you are the problem and soak up the sympathy and pitty from others.

The new lawyer said he doesn't believe me, it is impossible things are happening the way I tell. Old school friends of mine, who know me for decades, never caught me lying, say the same: I must be overreacting!

Maura L im actually nervous about what i say to my lawyer because i dont want him jumping on the "you are crazy" bandwagon. sofar he has believed me by the inconsistent behaviors and odd choices my ex seems to be make that seem to be more problematic than helpful in achieving anything.

Weird thing is, I'm hearing 'two sides' here; sometimes any established group is usually so used to their agenda and ways, that they wouldn't have the patience of other tribes, religions, whatever grouping is going on...sometimes the narcissism can be accidental; if fitting in isn't working out, or you didn't want to fit in to begin with...they'll only see you through their own consistencies, hence you slowly become the "group problem"... If you've done your best, and made a choice, then a clear choice and conviction is in order. That'd me My two bits about this. The longer it takes for you to decide if a certain crowd suits you, the more they'll snatch up the decision For you. ('pack mentality', lol...) good luck and good life to you. :)
