Hello iAnalyticsGeek, I followed this process. I already had R and RStudio installed some months back and only wanted rtools, however, it's saying "Error in install.packages : object 'rtools' not found " I don't know what to do
Yes, you are right. I installed all the three software in one top folder called R. within this folder I have three folders one for R, one for RTools, one for RStudio.
I tried to make my R folder not "Read-only", but it always reverts back to "Read-only" afterward :/ Is there anyway to make it permanently NOT "Read-only"?
Don't worry, once you have done that, in the background it will server the purpose... alternatively we could do .... open command prompt as administrator and type --> chmod -R 777 "C:\R\" and then hit enter... (C:\>chmod -R 777 "C:\R") that would take a few seconds and will set the necessary permissions to the folder and all the subfolders/files inside.

Please reinstall all the three software, follow each and every steps in the video strictly. It will help.

Yes you can, but make sure to tick the option for making it available from environment settings. otherwise it will never be detected by R.
