i've watched a handful of R tutorial videos as i'm just getting started - most of those left me wanting to leave R alone and stick with excel - yours was very clear and incredibly useful and convinced me it's worth my persevering with R after all - many thanks

People learning R is an active detriment to them learning other languages or anything at all for that matter. I appreciate that some people have to for Uni and for that this video is a good tool but they'd be better off learning something else.

In a Basic course. Not in the prerequisites, mind you, but in the introduction on the first day of the course. You're supposed to learn it on the fly. So you're a LIFESAVER!

Ok. So I didn't know I needed this progam. But I've heard that this program is good for working with stats. It took me to 32:22, and then i realised that i absolutely need to learn to work with this program. Fantastic tutorial.
I like that you show an NA return value so early on in this video and how to deal with it. It's the sort of thing that can trip up a new user and potentially put them off.

First of all, thank you for this video. While i was arguing with one of my dc friends we threw each other tons of insults but nothing hit more than hearing "YoU'vE nEvEr eVeN HEaRd of R bEfOrE?! You KnoW wHat, PYTHON is eNouGh fOr yOu." After that i got so mad aaand we don't talk anymore ofc but my point is i felt like I should know R even though I'm not studying on data analysis. (ex-friend's department is economy and he tried to insult me who already code in c++ & python and candidate of a genetics engineer... Life's though ) Anyway long story short, with this video I learned a lot of quality information with pleasure and kinda get my inner-revenge.😇

I have been studying several r-books. This is the first time I see R markdown clearly explained. I wonder if you could devote more videos about it. After all, Markdown seems to be promising to export the R results into a MS word environment for future papers.
Very nice. I am torn whether one should start with base R or jump straight into the tidyverse when teaching R. I get the feeling that one does not appreciate the beauty and simplicity of the tidy (and pipe) approach until one has "suffered" through a little bit of base R s nested approach. After all some things may not run or be needlessly complex in the tidyverse but simple in base R. Any thoughts? - Thanks.
