When people are going minimal these will only be clutter than convenience. But as an invention and option available for differently abled etc good option .
Nodemcu Or arduino shud do the trick. Customized app can be written using mit app inventor in less than an hr. The over all cost is less than 1000 rs n companies r looting. I did a hc 06 module with arduino and integrated directly with mcb switch through a relay and that's it. I cud do the same with esp8266 module which cud be connected via Alexa
