*This is the reset that you need to get that on plane ✈️ takeaway! TRY IT NOW…DRAG then you can lag*
I enjoyed your 7 shots needed with Parker McLachlin online this morning. No wonder you're one of the top 50 coaches.
Great drill and videos, I will try this.Trying to form good habits as a brand new golfer!
Fantastic tip. Tricking the brain from the norm. We’ll done!
This is a golden tip!. I played with a plus handicap golfer who did this with every shot. He didn't realize he was doing it. It happens when you let the shoulders lead. I hover the club and will test it out.
btw "I really need a BAG!"
I invested in a Lag Shot 7 iron and it does exactly this! It gives great feedback and has slowly been building my club head speed. It’s been a great training aid on the range.
Good info there on the Irons Alex , I started trusting my shot shape after watching one of your videos the other week .Playing a natural draw ,Never trusted it totally on the course ,started standing slightly with my right foot behind and setting up right of target just a bit ,got trough the ball better with a few less bad hooks ,hit 11 fairways with driver and shot 4 over on the back 9 at Whitby links where we holiday a couple of times a year .My game has been so bad this year it just couldn’t get any worse ,a couple of good rounds takes the confidence to a new level .Such a frustrating mind game is golf .
Your comment Alex "you need to drag to lag" was great! You could not emphasize a better way of understanding how to create lag! It's like you're showing us that a club can work nicely on its own without us manipulating it! Well Done Alex!!! Keep up the good work!!!
Brilliant, so glad it worked for you. Appreciate you tuning in 🙌🏼
Excellent video
I wish you were in the US. I would figure a way to pay for a personal 2 day lesson from you. Everything you say makes perfect sense to me. I've watch hundreds upon hundreds of gold videos and you break it down to what I can understand.
Maybe one day! Appreciate your support on the channel 😇
You’re correct that we need to keep learning. This will be put to use this week.
You got this! LET ME know how you get on!!
@@AlexElliottGolf Hi Alex, I went to the range yesterday and today played 18. I’m having trouble with this tip, because, I believe, I have not been able to take a divot after the hitting the ball. I think I don’t have a steep enough downswing. This is common with a vast majority of my iron shots. I’ll go back look at your past videos and maybe I can find how to do it there? Thank you for your help with the videos! I mention your name all the time with my playing partners. Have a great day!
Great tip watched it just prior to going to the range . Wow what a difference. Will need to add to warm up sessions. Thanks
Glad it helped
Great drill ole boy! Thank you!
You're welcome
Bobby Jones started his swing by dragging the handle back, this works!
Hope i can put this into good use on the course Friday. Keep up the great work 👍
Please do!
Another fantastic drill!
Glad you liked it
I will try this, but I feel like I would do the big no no, which is shift hips back with the step back. However, will try it and as always another super explanation. Thanks Alex!
You can do it! Thank you so much for the support Eric
When you drag the club you also get a better feel for your wrists setting which allows me to know to begin my transition
Excellent video and tips.
Drag & Lag. Thanks so much.
By the way, that could be a good name for a Scotch whisky popular among golfers...
""Drag & Lag" 🤔
Haha it would be!!
hi Alex, I'm really enjoying your content and tips, however, seeing that you literally have hundreds of videos, and like you said, your always learning, if you had to mould someone to your best drills and discard the rest, which drills and tips are THE essential ones? the ones that you would stake your life on🤣
for my perspective, i'd be looking for grip, stance, backswing, transition to the ball, follow through for each shot,
drive, fade, draw, exactly what your feeling when your weight transfers.
fairway clubs
short game
there must be a basic recipe for each of your shots that can turn mere Diddy's into mere mortals without the info overload! the essentials!!
Love this lesson Alex. I tried looking on your channel but, couldn’t find something current. So, what is in your bag?
I will be doing an up to date one of this very soon as there are some changes going in the bag... thanks for tuning into the video!
I need a bag!!!!
Can you do this drag and lag with the driver
Hi Alex
Just a question on strike off different grass types. Any difference in stance, ball position etc, when playing of our tighter lies in England say to the Axminster type lies of Spain say?
Great question!! I have you covered. Keep your eyes on the channel
what should be ball position for each individual club?
Hi! I literally have a video on this dropping tonight and i will be featuring your comment. Please keep an eye out, dropping 8pm time
I don’t think I’ve ever taken a divot, yet I hit my irons pretty decent, very pure sounding, and with good results. Does the turf you’re playing on matter for divots? Do I have divot envy, or am I ok?
You should be fine, it can depend on the turf
When you do the step drill it appears the ball position is forward as in a fairway wood. Is this correct, or just the camera angle?
Yeah it is more forward - I have a video dropping tonight which goes into more depth on this which will really help! I will be displaying your comment so be sure to tune in!
Good stuff but the thumbnail photos are misleading. It appears to be on the subject of addressing the ball with the club face a bit open rather than square.
Every video he does just contradicts his previous
Go back last 5 driver videos he tells you to do 5 completely different things. Same with irons, watch his last 5 iron videos and all 5 are telling you to do something different
All absolute waffle.
Padraig Harrington was right on his channel when he said all UA-cam coaches are just waffle and mean nothing.
Thats really unfair and harsh Valuebetbuilders - I have to do different approaches to golf as not every technique works for every golfers, its the same with clients i teach weekly. I can't teach them the same way every time because every golfer is different, learns different, has different abilities, mobilites, skillset. I've trained for over 10 years furthering my education on golf, investing in my knowledge of the game. So thanks for your lovely comment on this fine thursday but i work seriously hard, I don't talk waffle and I do MEAN something.
Great drill but maybe a strange question from me - always like the outfits you wear and I can see there makes but could you let me know the make of the trousers you wore in this video - thanks 😊👖
Hi , not at all - here you go www.scottsdalegolf.co.uk/shop/j-lindeberg-ellott-trousers-light-grey-melange
@@AlexElliottGolf Thanks so much - love watching your videos - I have managed to get myself down to only watching 2 people - you and one other. I like yours as they are quick and daily and they are fun to watch - and of course very bloomin' useful😊🙏🏼
nice. hoping to get a little breathing room and a round or two of fall golf.
Drills to keep your right foot down in the swing
I need a bag
I'll give it a shot but to be honest, I can imagine Me be able to bring my leg back like that. I have trouble staying on my back leg , I might fall I over.😂😂
Red ball almost invisible again, #colourblind
Sorry!!
🏌🏌🏌🏌🏌
I hope it works Ken!!!
