- In this video I build a custom box for a 2014 Malibu. I was going to use a Rockford Fosgate T1 12” subwoofer connected into the factory head unit. The power series from fosgate is amazing. This one was burned and has to be replaced.

In my opinion Rockford Fosgate sounds better overall they have always prided themselves around strong smooth Bass

No way that T1 is brand new, you got screwed! I had 2 of those and they were the best and loudest subs I ever owned.
You’re right about the t1 as the best. You can really see the build quality in materials selection and engineering design. Rockford Fosgate was always been a giant in the industry before the sundown days
How do you think the Kicker comp Q would compare to the T1 12? Especially in a sealed enclosure
The comp q sounds very clear with deep bass. Haven’t had any issues from it at all. Still as loud as the day it was installed.

Rockford is way better than kicker. I am wondering what you did to blow the Rockford. You either overpowered it, had to much air space, or hooked it up wrong
I would definitely have to agree with you there, you can see the build quality in the video of the T1. I think this situation highlights the woes of buying used car audio equipment even if it’s in the Manufacturers original packaging.
Best sounding and deepest bass I've ever heard was JL Audio 12W3-V3
Second was Fosgate P2D4-8. No lie. Those Fosgate 8's had some monster bass.
Kickers just sound really flat and hollow to me. No deep bass. Very flat and meh.
I originally came for a fosgate review but when you said Chevy Malibu I had to tell my story.
I bought a 2006 Chevy Malibu and slammed two Kenwood twelves with an amp that shit used to BANG. Hand to God Gangster Rap Made Me Do It by Ice Cube has never sounded the same
