Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family ! Just got my first 2 burner forge so thanks for the tips on temperatures ( kinda challenging to go by color!) and cycling to hold temp-never knew that-which willl be very useful. Always appreciate your down to earth approach and humor. Keeps me watching and enjoying. Can’t wait for part 2.
@TheOGfrenchy Yes mate at a bit higher temperature aswell, if you doing stock removal then 1 normalising cycle prior to heat treatment is good but if you are forging 52100 it requires a more complicated heat treatment
Im also a randy only my last name is mills thank you for the shout out! Another trick you can do to reduce your grain structure is to normalize in vermiculite from around 2000 deg it takes a little more time than thermal cycling but has greater results
Little river forge is another great knife making channel! Forgot to mention him! Thanks to all who support and interact with me!!
Hey…. Thanks man. I appreciate it 🎉

You’re right on the money. Forging out chefs are one of my favorite things, it’s the main reason I got into knife making. Love the channel homie.
