The accordion door idea is one of the best I've seen in years along with other easy places to hide wiring etc. Nicely done
This layout is great. So much nicer than anything we ever had. I guess I will go ahead and tell you when I was a kid in 1970 " my age" o well. Anyhow on the weekends me my bro and my dad would go to Everett where dad worked and help Martha with her camper trailer business doing repairs and at the same time fixing an 8 foot truck bed camper. It was a great experience going on Saturdays and getting to know Martha and her son Greg. What brought these memories back the most was metal curtain clips on a metal rod, and the curtains being burnt orange i and semi transparent in our Reno. Ultimately it was the tinking sound from bumping curtains that drove us kids into tents.
Definitely in the top 10 of the nicest self conversions I've seen on the Tube. Great job, I like the color scheme too.
Great build. The “imperfections” equal hard-work, ingenuity, and guts to take on a project most only dream of... 🙋🏻♀️
A high quality build if you ask me. I was impressed with the 4 burner stove with a hood and the full sized shower.
I have NO idea why you keep complaining about your craftsmanship!!! Holy Good Gosh Dude.... your skillz are amazing!! Dude, I'm totally inspired at what you've built here. Thank you a hundred times over for sharing this vid!
Stop being so humble. That is a beautiful trailer that you should be very proud of.. I hope it brings years of happiness to you and your family.
This is everything I need to know for my build. Great 👍🏼 job.
Keep those videos coming.
Nice!
I have watched 100s of cargo conversion videos and this one was the most valuable so far. I don't always agree with your assessment, but I definitely appreciate where you are coming from. The largest difference is that I plan to live in mine (still in the design phase).
Excited to see the rest of your videos! :-)
You'll never see 90% of the lack of fitment unless you pointed it out .I think it looks great except for the imperfections that you adequately pointed out which I wouldn't have noticed otherwise . Great Job
No one notices your "imperfections" on your sturdy efforts. Good job.
Yes...But that toilet paper roll.!!!! My OCD radar went full tilt... The paper should "over" not "under". LOL
Hey theyre called expansion joints... Duh. Theyre for flex when driving off road
Fantastic job! Ive been thinking about the same thing for a while now and after watching your video, Im going for it. Your camper will outlast any mass produced one for many many years. Good job brother.
"imperfections?" Smart planning, if you ask me. I LOVE your build- best ever!
The finest and smartest cargo trailer conversion I have ever seen. You rock man!
it's lovely, you did a great job on the decorating, and hiding of the workings, wonderful job!
Thanks. I'll be using the first part of your video to help convince my wife why I want a cargo trailer and not someone else's old cheap problems.
Beautiful home...especially the bathroom. Your cargo trailer/home appears to be built better than some houses I've seen lately. Thanks for sharing!
Beautiful design. Love it. May you have many years of enjoyment.
Thank you for the detailed video on both how you picked and built your great conversion! It is a wealth of information and what I love most about the UA-cam community. We just moved to Baja Mexico on the Sea of Cortez and I am looking to build a cargo office and spare bedroom. The bedroom part will be pullout queen and the desk with retract to be flush with the wall.
Dude. That is an awesome job. It has a nice cozy look to it. Damn good.
This has to be one of the nicest conversions I’ve seen yet I think this is the way of the future and I’m gonna get ahead start
This is a gorgeous conversion! There is a lot of inspiration in this. About the rounded roof... IMO, that's the only way to go even though it makes it tougher to insulate the ceiling.
Awesome build! It has all the comforts of a full time home!
Awsome DIY. Well thought out and executed. Love the bathroom.
Great job man. It looks like a house inside. Very well done!
This is a great job ...... your conversion is simple and concise nothing to fancy just simple and what you needed to serve your purpose thank you for sharing I love it great job
Hey this is great, I’ve been thinking on this for awhile and your just starting out, these tips and hints.
White, is the most visible, for me on the road makes sense too.
Your clear and sincere, I’ll be watching.
Great job engineering and laying everything out. Smart young man. I'm gonna copy yours!
Very nice build, never even thought of the color that way so thanks for that , go easy on yourself it looks awesome 👏
Stunning and inspiring! Thanks for sharing!
I built a 5x8 and it was fun but small as my family grew.
Than purchased and 19’ RV and it was nothing but problems, required a lot of upkeep and love.
Now i got a 7x16 cargo and it is a keeper!
Thanks for sharing your learning experiences! Looking to make one of my own.
MAN THE INPERFECTIONS IS NOT A PERFECT NO CARGO TRAILER IS PERFECT DUDE YOU DID A WONDERFUL BUILD .THE ONLY ONE THAT NEEDS THE OK IS YOU .DO YOU LOVE IT? WELL IF YOU DO WELL BE PROUD OF YOUR WORK. DUDE YOU DID BETTER THAN I COULD. GOD BLESS
Love this build, you were so right to convert a trailer we bought new caravan, 3 yrs in and roof and walls were wet, so much effort to fix the problem, we fixed it then sold it and converted a 36'6" bus to an RV much better, we were able to put in it what we wanted where we wanted it, this actually became our home for 18 months while our house was being built, so much fun,
anyway stunning build, nice use of space and well explained thanks for shareing.
You are right, I live in an area where they manufacture RV's and Caravans, they are made quickly and methodically but not to a high quality, they do look lovely when finished, but they are not made with the same robust materials that we would use ourselves, so they start to develop faults straight from the factory,
I have seen RV's that have been returned as many as 11 times in a single year,
Converting a Bus or Coach, is by far the best option, and you build the quality you expect giving you the quality build that we all desire, I wish you luck, and lots of fun.
Good pick I especially like the square of the trailer I hate the v walls on some trailers it's nothing but an eye sore and does not add space to the inside of the trailer. Good pick!
GOOD JOB! I'm building one too and going nomad. You gave me some great ideas for mine. Thanks!
Like the idea of buying a cargo trailer and doing a build , many might wonder how much carpentry , plumbing and electrical skills you must have to finish this project the way you want it , great job , well done .
Honest and open. Thats awesome. Lots of sincere effort as well.
Great job
Beautifully done! Great job!
I'm so jealous that I subscribed. Love love love love this.
you talk about imperfections.. I see is a masterful thought process and very fine job! well thought out and executed! ;-) thank you for your time, excellent tips, and for producing/posting this video, sir.
I really like this trailer! It's very well done.
Good job. good taste on the paint and furnishings.
Fantastic job. Way to gitter done!
Great concept. Allows endless layout options. Be great to see the plans for wiring and plumbing.
Do a documentary of the next build. Could be fun filming step by step how you did your build. Looks better than most. Thanks for the upload.
That thing looks great. I could live in it for sure. Goes to show how we live in excess.
You are absolutely correct that a special order is almost always full price plus shipping. I have found no deals unless the trailer is in stock and had been on the lot for awhile.
I thought this looked familiar you changed some colors this is still a great conversion thank you for sharing
Woooow... excellent job! can't believe you put a full stove there... it's worth it :)
U won man. I'll follow your techniques in building mine.
Thnx buddy
This is better than most houses built these days. I could sell my house and live in this. Maybe 2 my hubby will need one to. I would live like this in a minute but my hubby wint, now go figure !! I just want to live with meaning now not about appearances.
Great video. Thanks for the tips about the color of the trailor and roof shape. Since I am buying land in the desert southwest I will get a white flat topped trailor!
Awesome WhiteOak, this is a great project. I want to do a 24' version!
Great job my friend,,,,,very attractive colours on the interior
Just saw this, great job and idea. Been thinking of doing this with
An older horse trailer.
I love it! Great job!! I want to build my own...really like your floor plan. Hope you guys are still enjoying it! God bless! 😁
Wow, you did an amazing job!
I think your work is awesome and sensible! I was working on a mobile home and did the same as you did. Alternative electrical and water pipes that I could easily access and repair if necessary.
Nice work, I am definitely looking at doing something very similar. You have given me some good ideas.
Good Job on a good trailer. I like your Roof AC unit. I don't like tacky window units on a travel trailer. Also like the well planned wood work on the walls and ceiling. Cabinets are well built. And the layout is good. Also I am glad you didn't get a v shaped front on the trailer. Gives more room for Gas tanks for your stove and heat. Well done!
Very nicely done!!
It looks awesome man, don’t be so hard on your self, if you didn’t spend so much time pointing out what’s off no one would know other wise great looking trailer.
Great job Brother. Thanks for the information and ideas.
A man after my own heart, a framer not a finish carpenter.
Nice trailer brother. Thanks
Awesome build ! Love it !
Wow!!! What a great build.
MrAndycm GREAT job. I wish I had your talent.
Very nice build! Well done. Thank you.
Fantastic cargo box build
Damn fine job. Very impressive.
Nice build! Thanks for sharing.
Looks good better than alot other ones iv seen
Thanks for the info about the trailer. I have a solar power generator that would be great for power and a portable air conditioner. I have been looking at an all in one kitchen for tiny apartments.
You did such a fantastic job. I would love to have one just like it imperfections and all (which to me are not noticeable unless I look for them).
So fantastic. I'd love to build this up here in Washington.
Thank you so very much for sharing!!
You done a great job keep on building take care
Wow. Mind blown! Awesome job on the built and good video. Glad there’s no annoying music to deal with 😉
What? Your carpentry skill look allot better than most cargo builds I've seen. Love the way you separated the bath/toilet area. If you had a fridge it would be perfect.
Sharp looking on the outside ... white is a color that always looks good ... you barely see any scratches and looks good even dirty... I think you could put an awning on it would be a nice addition plus you could put a toolbox on the tongue for additional storage ...but that sits pretty!!!
Interior is fantastic... I’m thinking that you maybe a perfectionist cause of some of your comments... but she is a beauty inside as well ... You should be damn proud of yourself I really like the layout absolutely excellent way to have shower and bathroom set up ... I am starting to get an itch to do this ... I wished you would elaborate on the cost...
Excellent video! I want a cargo trailer. I would like to turn it into an art studio. I wouldn't mind to have a shower and working kitchen in it, too. God bless you with your work!
Great job , thanks for sharing
I think you did very well. A thumbs up friend.
A beautiful job. One to be proud of. I would say way better than commercial builds. I would like to see a video on electrical and wiring. Thanks for sharing. Awesome job. GF1 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😎
Your Carpenter looks fine, what you need is a tube of painters caulk. The other thing is Bondo makes a good wood filler. Remember that “puddy and paint makes a carpenter what he ain’t “ and final words of wisdom “a good finish carpenter always has a tube of Dap”. Nice build btw.
Nice build and thanks for the bathroom door idea! I wonder if it could work as a shower curtain in a more compact bathroom build.
Wow beautiful good job
Perfect build brother! A+, I'm thinking of doing something similar. Very well done, mine will look more like a construction vehicle as I'll get all the parts then build out on BLM land somewhere. 👍
NEVER PULL A BOX TRAILER WITHOUT A SWAY BAR.... i just rolled my truck and trailer due to a high wind gust compounded by black ice. Almost lost my wife and kids. I've been towing for years. I know not to panic brake but it doesn't take much before its just beyond control. Never thought i needed a sway bar for a little 7x14 TA.
I didn't have one. I'll never do that again.
This advise may just save your life.
PS. Nice trailer. I'd like to show you my new one when i get her done. Everyone was jealous of my old one.
Bob K.
Thanks for sharing the incredibly important information on the sway bar!
You may have already saved a life or two.
Bob K. Glad your family are ok.
I'm so glad you and your family are okay. I'll take your advice.
Thank you for sharing that. I'm glad everyone is okay. Safety first, now we know "it can happen to anyone" means it can.
Thanks for the "heads up" on having a sway bar! I'm glad you and your family are OK.
Well Done! Thanks for the video-
you did a great job. You saying the curve roof is a pain to finish I would consider framing it strait on the inside. That could allow for extra inso or a space to run wire. I bet you improved your building skills by the time you were finished. It takes balls to jump into a project like that if you begin it without being a seasoned carpenter.I respect that
Kick ass job!
I had a black navigator and matching black 6x12 trailer when I lived in OH. It was great. But I moved to South Florida and very quickly realized black in Florida is a VERY BAD IDEA! There can be up to a 30-40 degree difference between white and black! So my next truck, I got a white Yukon XL and I’m planning on getting a white trailer to convert into a toy hauler. I travel all over the Southeast installing gym floors so I need a garage section to haul my tools, and I’m a big guy so I need a big shower. So I plan on building my own.
Outstanding! Ya done good!
outstanding job
I think you did a great job!
Your place looks great.
Well done!
Awesome job !
Great advice about the black trailers getting too hot. I was precisely wondering about that. Black trailers look so nice but you pay a high price.
