For some reason, in the last few days I've searched plenty of "Nishi Shinjuku" material on YT, one of the main topics being the rush hour in this area. Somehow this guy read my mind and posted this great video. This is a new perspective, excellent video! Nishi Shinjuku has what Marunouchi lacks - the height and the upper-architecture which gives an iconic skyline with Fuji in the backround. Marunouchi has the classic architecture at the street level and it's more posh.
its mind blowing... every day... over here in Germany, Frankfurt am Main / Hessen, there is some similar rush but its not as quiet and as clean as this. best wishes and keep the amazin videos coming. thank you so much
Usually rush hour in Belgium means waiting in queues of traffi on the various motorways. More often than not this involves accidents. My work is 15 minutes away by car and I generally have no trouble getting there. No idea what its like on the trains. I was in Shinjuku station heading for Kabukicho early evening in 2015. I could have lifted my feet from the foor and just surfed out of the station with the solid wall of people😂
I was born and raised in California. Eldest out of the 4. We are a loud family... This has to be the quietest public area I have ever seen in my life O_O. A bit eerie is the perfect fit for how quiet it is.
That was fascinating. In all your videos, it's the people I look at as much as the architecture and scenery. There was much to see in this one! At the beginning, you walked with the crowd and it was possible to keep track of individuals and see how far they were going. In the second half, you walked toward the crowd and we could look at faces. If only it was possible to know *where* they were all going, what kind of job. This is what I kept wondering. Thanks for another great video!
13:05 I can't believe this blue Honda beeped at pedestrian and made the pedestrian wait for him. In the U.S. driver would be shown mid finger by doing this.
About the same time in the U.S but less people on the Metro than Tokyo. Lots of people on the free ways. Traffic in the city I used to live in California the Silicone Valley areas. We have lots of traffic on the Freeway every morning it's hell on the road LOL What ever country we live. We all do the same thing every day of our live.
Everybody's so quiet. :)) You had the right of away crossing the street. That small blue car should have stopped. Sure same rules applies as in the U.S.
A real sense of place. Truly hypnotic. And so quiet!
00:24 look at that road so clean. Wow.

Thanks for another look around Shinjuku!
The rush hour, but still orderly and calm.
Oh yeah? :) But Shinjuku station was in chaos :D
NIPPON WANDERING TV I've been there, at that time, but queues are still orderly. You know where you stand, literally.
So quiet and orderly compared to rush hour in the States. Ours look like chaos!
Oh really? I'm very interested in it :)
After having experienced Tokyo rush hours in March, I like to refer to them as organized chaos.
I remember riding the Keio-Line into Shinjuku every morning. Packed like sardines in a can.
I just Love it to enjoy your great footage on my 4k Tv!
Thank you! :)
8:12 girl, you made my day. so cute
Me too, she gave me a boost :)
northern Ireland: rush hour is from 6:00AM-8:00AM

Korea is also rush hour between 8: 30~9:00
Especially, Jongno and Gwanghwamun are the best.

I love these! thanks!!

Same thing happens in the suburbs of Tokyo. Long long traffic jam :D

8:15 lol double sign. One thing, most would already at work at 8:30am. For the true rush hour... try videoing the subway on rush hour.
>try videoing the subway on rush hour.
I would like to try it someday :)
its till so quiet
so quiet compared to new york city
Oh, new york! I want to see what it is like. All streets jam-packed?
Jam packed like Tokyo but so noisy. Everyone talking and car horns blasting.
As a Tokyo citizen, I love the busy streets of New York more.
There is just nothing going on here in my town.
Sugoi video,but,video of chichibu?
Wow your rush hour is so peaceful compared to America XD
I can feel the pain for whose who wear high heels. LOL
World is in 2021
Japan is in 2050
