Mario, Rabbid Peach and their friends are back for a new adventure of cosmic scale! Cursa, a mysterious and malevolent entity seeks out energy to further its nefarious plans, plunging the galaxy into chaos. Twisting the planets with its evil influence, Cursa is determined to consume all the energy of the Sparks, uncanny creatures formed by the fusion of Lumas & Rabbids and destroy all who stand in its way. To bring order back to the galaxy and save the Sparks, Mario, his friends and Bowser team up with Rabbids heroes in a mysterious journey through ever-surprising planets.
Join them on their adventure to take on Cursa and its dangerous minions while exploring a variety of planets filled with strange inhabitants, memorable quests and hilarious secrets. I haven't been this excited for a Mario RPG in years. Kingdom Battle was the surprise of a decade and the Mario & Luigi series is living on through this one. Welcome Mario + Rabbids!

@@theenderkirby939 Well, AlpahDream is gone, and Paper Mario is still on the generic era (even though it improved from the past two modern entries.) Mario + Rabbids feels like it's filling the gaps of the classical Mario RPG roots.

Unless Nintendo next year announces that they are developing a sequel to Super Mario RPG with Square Enix and that the first game will be on SNES online.

Something about Mario and Bowser teaming up to face a greater evil is very pleasing.
It really cements it as the continuation of the 2000 Mario RPGs: Mario and Bowser never really worked together in any 2010 RPGs if at all in any Mario game.

This game is amazing. Easy 9/10 for me. Bought it at launch and love it and still playing it. Improves everything from the first game in almost every way possible. This game has legit become one of my favourite games on switch even like top 10. Soundtrack slaps so hard and looks good despite some minor glitches but still. This trailer too is just perfect. To those who get this recommended years later, this game was/is amazing.
By far my most anticipated game in awhile, and it just looks better and better with every new thing they show. Can't wait

That is the first time EVER I hear different voices for each rabbids. Incredible. Never expected that. So much effort put in this game.

Honestly it's kinda cool how rabbids is taking this chance to actually buold itself into being more than random screaming bunnies.
Like, these rabbids have PERSOBALITIES, they are DISTINGUISHABLE, THEY FEEL LIKE CHARACTERS!

I'm honestly surprised of this franchise. It was able to nearly perfect the art of turn based strategy combat on its first go with how fun and intriguing the abilities are. Things that popular games like fire emblem is yet to do. And I bet it will be better in this sequel!
The first game was fantastic. And the fact that they made this game a traditional RPG like Super Mario RPG, and removed the grid system for a more variety strategic options will clearly satisfy our Mario RPG itch... Unlike certain Paper Mario games I won't mention.
Man. Paper Mario: The Origami King should have been nominated for Game Of The Year on the year it released. It was such a great game.

Well here's my take on this guys. Origami King was not a bad game, and I agree that it was a huge improvement over Sticker Star and Color Splash. Let's start there. It's not a bad game because it's not like TTYD, because it's within it's own style. The main reason of the comparison is because Origami King, Sticker Star, and Color Splash aren't a traditional RPG game. Sticker Stars you had no partners, and no experience to gain; therefore, no reason to battle. Color Splash was the same way only giving a bit of a reason to battle by gathering hammer scraps. That would've have been a good game, if you didn't have to look at the god damn game pad just to look at cards when you should be focused on the screen and missing that the enemies was talking behind your back lol I cannot stress enough of how annoying that was.
Origami King was a HUGE improvement. Slight partner help, more reason to battle, a unique battle system, and your eyes are on the TV at all times lol Still not your traditional RPG game, but it was different in a good way, which is why I believe it's the best Paper Mario Game out of Sticker Star and Color Splash. The only thing I hated about Origami King, was the over abundance of Toads...
Now, let's look at this game. A game we did NOT expect to be this good. Not only they brought back the traditional RPG elements back like in Mario RPG by having Bowser on your team, that sold the game right there!!! BOWSER ON YOUR TEAM!!! A fantastic battle system, you gain experience, and able to use items during battle. And keep in mind this is the very beginning of the game. Not to mention by bringing Mario Odyssey and Mario Galaxy elements by making the game more open world, and gathering special coins within that world to get special weapons. This game is going to sell hardcore mainly because of these elements. Mario... I'm sorry, first gameplay YOU'RE OUT!!! XD
I think the mistake is, that people expected Paper Mario: The Origami King to be an rpg, which it probably is supposed to be, but in actuality, it seems that they are "secretly" turning the series into "adventure", but, not communicating that to the fanbase.
Of course, this is just my opinion.
I seen the game as an adventure game, with "some rpg elements" to it, as well as "puzzle elements" too. I think if Nintendo had communicated that to the fanbase, it might have helped.
Fyi, from the series, I only played Paper Mario 64 and Paper Mario: The Origami King, to compare. Of course, I also played Super Mario RPG: Legend Of The Seven Stars multiple times for the SNES, since this game is the foundation of the Paper Mario series, Mario and Luigi, and even now, Mario + Rabbids.
My point is, even though I love the older gameplays, I still I like the new ideas too. I believe variety is the spice of life.

I've only played 1 Raving Rabbids game growing up and it's so weird in a breathtaking way how clean & crisp the graphics are! It's also a treat seeing Mario holding guns as it will take time for me to get used to seeing him using them whenever I am able to afford this game in the near future which I'm deeply looking forward to. You never fail to impress us Nintendo! 😇

When you remember just last week this was the bar for the most cinematic mario has looked.
I always thought the Rabbid versions of the Mario characters were clever in the way they were characterized, making them similar to their Mushroom Kingdom counterpart, yet different enough to have their own quirks and be their own characters. Glad to see they continued the trend with Rabbid Rosalina

Back when Kingdom Battle was announced (or leaked) a lot of folks were skeptical... And boy were they wrong and here we are one week from a sequel to the game that many folks never knew they've always wanted.
Mario + Rabbids is the new paper Mario, but hopefully the games will stay good.

@@ma.2089 Origami King was a massive cry for help that Miyamoto's restrictions were strangling what they can and cannot do. Here we got something that the only real restriction given to them was by Ubi-soft and that's the Rabbids cannot do their loud scream.

@@ma.2089 If you look at every single aspect of Origami King, you will find that the are subverting the Sticker Star gameplay as hard as possible. No new characters? Well, you only have Olivia, and Olly and Legion of Stationary, and in the end all of them are gone. No new partners? Well, there are no distinct partner but due to nicknaming, Bobby is the closest thing, and sometimes a temporary partner comes by to deal unnecessary damage. It does at least flesh out Kamek’s and Bowser Jr’s relationship. The battle system was an RPG system but they force you to use consumables? Take “turn-based combat” as literal as possible and get a tedious normal enemy battle system but an excellent boss battle system. Nothing but Toads? Have the enemies take over the supposedly night-time desert town until Hole Punch is defeated, and also simultaneously imply that the sameness of Toads led the villain to genocide to riff on that complaint. No fleshing of the world? Have literally one toad from the past with one strangely story between him and Shangri-Spa. No open world stuff? Insert one area that is worse Wind Waker. It literally has an area with Paper Mario versions of tests of courage, wisdom, and bravery and a Great Tower area which is where you battle Tape.
Every single design decision, area, and detail strains against some rule.
