the first guy who yelled recognized the music being played, same as the commercial and reveal for ocarina of time and majoras mask. I remember first watching this and knowing right away by the music, such an amazing moment
One bruh was already yelling before Link showed up. Dude knew it was a Zelda game thanks to the music, which is the same that they used for the OoT commercial.
This sounds dramatic, but I probably would have been dead. I was really depressed when I was younger, and remastered ocarina of time on my 3ds helped me get through that.
Because people there was crying for the emotion. This reveal was just too epic. No more to say. Some press and fans there were leaving the presentation when the trailer began and had to come back running to their seats. After all this zelda was what people was expecting for years after ocarina of time.
Turaco I just went back to that and it was hilarious. He's just like "WWHHOOOOAA" and I bet he was shocked that nobody else figured that out. Just like "GUYS, IT'S A REALISTIC ZELDA, WHY AREN'T...THERE WE GO!"
0002pA I am disappointed in WW, but love TP because it did beter almost everything that OoT did. You were disappointed maybe because you had your hopes too high, and expected too much from the game.
The nostalgia. It hurts. Watching this video brings me to tears when the crowd starts screaming. I can feel their love through the sound waves. Nintendo. Bring back this passion. Please.
I always love that one guy who figures out what this is before everyone else and starts screaming before Link is even revealed. And also the guy that yell "oh shit" at one point.
Blasted with nostalgia every time I watch it. I hope they make a game similar to Twilight Princess, because god damn I had so much fun playing that game.
Why is it that something so mundane like a video game can touch so many people. I mean, this is a great moment but people are all messed up over it. I wonder why that is. It messes me up too
This is still one of the greatest moments in gaming expo history, and Miyamoto's pose at the end never fails to send chills down my spine! Man, I'm getting impatient just thinking about Zelda U's reveal this year...
NostalgiaGoggles I wish they did more at E3, though. I love seeing reactions like this and you can't really get these anymore if they release information separately like that.
The Nintendo Directs will never be as exciting as real live audience reactions to AAA titles. Just imagine this trailer being shown via Nintendo Direct but without any audience reaction. Not as impactful imo.
***** I was referring more to reveals. I love watching reaction videos like the one they had when they announced one of the Zelda games in the past (I don't remember which game it was)
I think it’s the greatest teaser of all time. Specially given the circumstances when it came out. It was after wind waker and everybody wanted a “non cartoony” next entry in the series. Then this drops and heads explode.
The GameCube wasn't doing so hot back then also. I don't know, I think they can do it. Even if the GameCube didn't sell well, it's still one of my favorite systems. I hope if the Wii U doesn't take off, Nintendo at least delivers with their own games like they did with the GameCube. And maybe the Wii U sucessor is a success, like the Wii was.
+PitTanGirl You can feel the emotions in the people screams, it's just not people screaming, it's die hard fans who're happy. Damn The Legend Of Zelda is one of a franchise. x)
It's a great game for sure, but it just has some annoying elements (Wolf Link fetch quests anyone?). That said, it's infinitely better than Skyward Sword.
By then a lot of people were really familiar with all the puzzles you find in a zelda game, so it was pretty easy for longtime zelda players. I thought it was pretty easy at the time, but I loved the atmosphere and story. I really think the new zelda will be a dark one there's a patern: (oot, MAJORA, windwaker, TWILIGHT, skyward sword, ZELDA U)
It's a good game, one of my favorites actually, but when you were playing as the wolf the gameplay seemed... uh... 'small' cause you accomplish very little as the wolf. There should have been more areas only accessible by the wolf.
years of The Legend of Zelda has passed. It truly is amazing to see that even today, People get as excited as they did back then for the next adventure. Long live the Princess of hyrule.
Me hahahahahaha. I still think this is the best E3 reaction ever (and TP is still after all those years my favourite game, and I think I'll have fun with BOTW when I'll have my hands on it).
Its crazy to think this was only like 6 years after ocarina and 4 after majora. It all feels like ancient history now but i remember the hype like it was yesterday.
***** You should get a 3DS and A Link Between Worlds right now. It's literally the best fucking Zelda game I've ever played. I didn't have high hopes after Skyward Sword disappointed me and I thought it was just going to be little more than a 3D redux of A Link to the Past, but it went straight back to the series' exploratory roots and reinvented the way you go through dungeons in such a simple yet completely game-changing way.
1:41 Miyamoto says even after 18 years, LoZ never stops changing. It's now been over 18 years since he made that comment and it rings true now more than ever!
Y'know, if I was there, watching that EPIC trailer for the first time... I would be cheering and clapping as loud as I could, too. Twilight Princess is my favorite Zelda game, ever.
This video will always be a painful reminder of how E3 is gone. The BOTW trailer, and the TOTK trailer - both never got the live reaction of a massive crowd.

@@GulagPower That's precisely what I was thinking about.

I prefer the moment where the few folks recognize Riders of Doom.
the first guy who yelled recognized the music being played, same as the commercial and reveal for ocarina of time and majoras mask. I remember first watching this and knowing right away by the music, such an amazing moment
@HashashThis theme was also used for the first wind waker trailer
Poketto just the few die hard zelda fans who have seen the oot ad and trailer, or the people mistaking it as Conan

"Shields will shatter"
*Link blocks attack*
*shield remains intact*

+Chris “Chris of STARS” Griego "shields will shatter" was foreshadowing the events of skyward sword
Although, "shields will burn" would have been more accurate for this trailer.
My poor, poor, Ordon Shield.....
+Nathan Jones LOL xD
+Nathan Jones I remember restarting one of my runs because my Ordon shield burned. lol
No matter how old Miyamoto gets, he seems to be ageless. He simply exudes youthfulness and creative energy.
He's my hero...

Cosmic Rogue Once you hit max level you stop leveling.
He reminds me of Guy sensei somehow...
Cosmic Rogue Sakurai is already my waifu, now Miyamoto is senpai.
I don't think any reveal will ever beat this one. I get goosebumps every time I watch this. So epic.
Kingdom Hearts 3's was also incredible
yeah this and the melee reveal are so epic!!
I just got back from watching the Melee reveal... Gah, I have goosebumps all over!!
yep
I imagine the Smash reveal + Mega Man in Smash reveal would have come close if Nintendo had done a press conference in 2013.
One bruh was already yelling before Link showed up. Dude knew it was a Zelda game thanks to the music, which is the same that they used for the OoT commercial.
It's Riders of Doom from the 80's Conan music. Didn't think it was specific Zelda music.
viktorgorchev I know, but still. I dont think he was screaming because it would be a Conan game right. It was a Nintendo presentation.
viktorgorchev That music was also used in the wind waker reveal... For some of them was pretty obvious it was zelda
Ah, makes sense.
chapinmc2 *"I dont think he was screaming because it would be a Conan game"*
That is the most valid point ever xD
Best E3 ever.
Even non-nintendo fans crowded that place on that day. It was legendary. People cried. People laughed.

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, my love for this game has no bounds.
