Hughie's dad passing was especially hard for me, since I had to pull the plug on my mom's life support this last December. Everything is just messed up right now...
I'm so sorry you're going through that. I had to do the same for my mother in November 2019 and I'm still recovering from it. Best piece of advice I got was "you'll never get over it and that's okay. It's okay because the grief you feel is just all of the love you had for her and it speaks to the bond yall shared". Idk what you believe in but it's been proven that energy and mass cannot be destroyed just altered so that means one day you'll get to rejoin her where ever the energy that is our souls/personalities go when our bodies finally pass. Sending love and hugs your way!
yea, i know M-Dogg felt that scene for sure because if i remember correctly his pops also went through some medical issues in the past that really put a halt to some of the content and his life situation. idk his dads current status now, but i know this scene for sure probly gave him the same feel
I appreciate y’all for showing us the raw emotion that comes with watching this show, I know some people frown on this type of stuff, but I appreciate y’all for this, hell of a review guys!💯 I know I damn near ugly cry’d when Huey’s dad said “I’m Scared”😢😭
Kessler is definitely an hallucination, I think Becca and him are the angel and the devil on Butcher’s shoulders. Becca being the angel that tries to get Butcher to do good and take Ryan away from Homelander. Kessler being the devil that drags Butcher down to a darker path. I honestly believe Kessler will play a role in the super parasite inside Butcher too.
My theory based on another theory. Theory: The V that Butcher took gave powers to his brain tumor. The bunny had some kind of cancer/tumor/living organism or parasite inside of it as well, just like that girl from Diabolical episode 7 who had cancer and took V. The cancer became a monster. In all three cases the V gave power to another living organism inside of them instead of the host. My Theory: If Butcher injects the supe killing virus, it should just kill the V'd if tumor and not Butcher himself.
The Superman vs. Flash, Homelander vs. A-Train question really works because the first six issues of The Boys comics were published by DC, with The Seven being straight-up parodies of the Justice League. At least until it was canceled with issue # 6, so the creators changed things up a bit and took it to another comics publisher.
If it goes anything like Superman vs. Flash, Flash reveals he's been faster the whole time but made it look like a contest because it was for charity. Here, with how A-Train struggled with his speed before, I don't think he can outpace Homelander for long, and even if he can run faster than Homelander can fly, it may not be faster than his lazer vision.
23:54 You can tell that genuinely hit them, because it's so relatable. A sad fact of life is a lot of us will be in that situation. It's this weird thing where you can only relate to it if you've experienced it, but you don't want other people to be able to relate, because it means they also had to go through that.
yea M-Dogg's dad went through some medical issues before in the past, so i'm knowing he felt that for sure. i remember that particular time during this channel's career was a pretty grey and uncertain time for them cuz they had a lot going on in their lives.
Homelander was being a W dad towards Ryan those first few minutes and then it went south real quick. However, that director needed to be smacked around some

Mannn, them boys were really acting in this one! I'm so happy Simon Pegg finally got to get some real screen time as this character and he BRANG that shit. 👏👏
I think that thing that popped out of the bunny is inside of Butcher. If you notice that bunny was being tested with Temp V. Maybe the V messed with it while inside of Butcher.
The bunny probably had a tumor or some form of cancer in it and the V latched onto that living thing inside of it, just like the V latched on to Butchers brain tumor. It's the same thing that happened in Diabolical ep.7 when the V latched onto that girls cancer and made that monster. In all 3 cases the V gave powers to another living organism inside the host, though I'm not sure if they confirmed the bunny having cancer or a tumor. I think that if they create a virus that only kills supes and Butcher injected it, it would kill only the tumor monster and not Butcher.
I think it just had a tumor like Butcher does. It could be that when someone takes any kind of V with one it mutates the tumor and not the host. Just like it has in Butcher.
frenchie’s storyline this season was about coping with all of the guilt that has built up over 4 seasons and accepting the fact that the crimes he committed were his, no matter who ordered him to do it or why he’s the way he is (his father’s abuse). he hurt people, he hurt colin, it was still him doing all of those things even if on nina, or even butcher’s, orders. a relationship with colin was an escape to where his crimes weren’t real and didn’t happen until the reality of it all crashed in on it. i love what they did with him this season
The Simon Pegg thing hit harder for me due to the fact that Hughie is the comics is a direct likeness of Pegg. So it was almost like seeing an Old Hughie die....
20:28 FUN FACT: M.M. said the exact reverse (I'm a Motherfucka wit a heart, whereas you Butcher, you just a mothafucka) to Butcher in his Season One debut intro, Episode 3 I think, after they killed Translucent.
i did not expect to see both of you cry this episode. and then i looked down and saw the gambit shirt and i got emotional. Simon Peg killed it in this episode.
that's how most parents in real life actually parent their kids. whatever issues they struggled with as a child due to how they were cared for is usually what they end up trying to enforce or avoid, and it usually just ends up sprouting new problems within their own kid
Why tf does everyone act like Starlight is so innocent...It's Karma..she spread harmful rumors about firecracker and now she's getting a taste of her own medicine.
There's different degrees though. Firecracker as a teen was taken out of teen pageants. If those judges were getting revenge, ok because they were adults. Firecracker is taking it to the next extreme going after Annie as adults
@@MarioBario there's honestly no such thing as a lesser evil. evil is still evil no matter the "degree". what IS important tho is noting change. people can definitely change. Hughies mom saw him holding the V and put it back in his pocket. Then he left his jacket there and she took the initiative because she thought he'd back out on giving it to him
i don't see it. Nightcrawler is meant to be lean, agile, and somewhat lanky. Tomer Capone is pretty slow, short, and stubby. i also don't understand the correlation between this particular episode and Nightcrawler. what did he do?

Whoever wrote this episode has experienced the heartbreak of watching a loved one suffering from dementia or Alzheimer's. My mom had Alzheimer's and, along with the memory loss and thinking past events were the present, she became very aggressive and paranoid. Watching Simon Pegg's performance as Hugh going from a sweet, loving man to someone filled with rage really hit me hard because it reminded me of how my mom went from a sweet, happy, loving person to being violent, aggressive, and accusing people of trying to k*ll her. Simon Pegg better get an Emmy nomination for his performance.
Man, you're the second set of reactors I've watched that were in tears at that scene. I'm impressed, I was too terrified he was going to kill Hughie's mom at any second.
I think Hughies Dad had problems with his brain/memory from the coma rather than the V, but I could be wrong though. I was in a coma for just over a week and I still suffer with memory problems. I was no where near as bad as Hughies Dad though. Simon did an amazing job.
I think the idea was that his brain was heavily damaged from the coma, so reviving a highly damaged brain using super-fuel wasn’t going to repair his brain
😂 Y’all funny as hell for that intro. - I think the damage from the stroke was already done, judging by his memory lapses. The V just gave him powers, making a bad situation even worse. - That rabbit was foreshadowing. yes that was exactly the premise. not the koolaid thing, but the fact that Ryan hasn't visually consumed dairy like Homelander until that moment when he's doing something Homelander would do.
So there's a possible theory bout Joe that's he's part of Butcher's imagination cuz Sameer looked confused when butcher said "WE will patch you up" and we've never seen him interact with anyone but Butcher.
Yes, a mixture of brain problems and the drug "v", an extremely dangerous thing . For Daddy, we press "f" . As for Ryan ,perhaps the first useful action that the Homelander taught him was to protect others, followed by adding self-confidence to them .
@@fernandorosales8798 It was worth clarifying , of course . I meant the scene when the girl slapped the annoying director. And among all the terrible examples that Homelander gives , this one is comparatively good . Considering that Ryan already has morals from his mother , for example .
She's killed innocent people long before working with Homelander. Just because you like a character does not mean they should get a free pass. She is a bad person. Same with Frenchie. He killed families. He killed children. little children. I don't care how connected you are with a character. Should people in society be forgiven after heinous crimes? Be free from criminal charges once they start showing guilt and regret? Your comment is disturbing.
@@ValyrianSteel00 by that same logic that means Starlight is a bad person, Hughie is a bad person, Kimiko is a bad person, MM is a bad person, Butcher is a bad person, A-Train is a bad person, etc. And even tho we like some of them or even all of them, none of them should be getting a free pass or be considered a "good guy" in the series. Btw, you're thinking too deep into it. The comment is simply about Neumann's character role in the fictional show, due to M-Dogg trying to figure it out in this very video. Idk how you turned it into a question about real life and deeming people "disturbing" over that. relax man😂
Like I was about to cry but then the smartass in me kicked in & was like: "I mean Hughie, you literally got mf bodied because you couldn't let go so..."😬 It still sucks because his dad didn't deserve that but tbh I rather him go out like that instead of getting absolutely brutalized, after watching the last episode🫢👍💯
Simon Pegg is a huge Star Wars fan & very open hater of the prequels, specifically jar jar. He even wrote scenes in his sitcom "spaced" where the characters were hating on them! He has since come out and said he was super harsh at time of release and apologised. So I'm guessing this is a nod to that!
After this episode I'm sorta convinced Sage has a different angle on this. She obviously knows A-train was the leak. She let Ashley of all people who isnt even a little bit as smart as her "pull one over her". Whole time Coleman was being killed Sage was giving A-train a look while also observing HL. I think she's got a secret agenda bc one she's just too smart to be HL's lackey. Two, she cut off ties with Vought way back (dfntly for a reason). Three, she has expressed how she hates Vought's and HL's exploitation of African culture but is still dismissed and forced to wear . Four, A-train leaking the info freed 2 innocent black men. Five, people who idolize HL (the 3 white supremacist dudes) and Firecracker get pretty f'd up in her plans. In a diff pov, Sage looks like she's sneakily attacking people who support HL and tearing down Vought from the inside. But even tho she is seeking vengeance against Vought, I also don't think her intentions are good. She strikes me as someone who is on her own level and just bored bc nothing challenges her intellectually anymore, killing time by testing out theories. You could say that she's too smart for her or humanity's own good.
The irony that homelander and Ryan are bonding over saving a girl from sexual harassment when his own mother was raped by homelander and that’s how he came to be..it’s so twisted n weird…but I think that will be how they turn Ryan away from homelander.. because he clearly doesn’t know what happened
Neumann's not a bad guy? Really? It's been too long since we all saw her introduce her superpowers by popping the heads of whistleblowers and desperate friends. I know yall like a bad girl, but Neumann is closer to Azula than Rhaenyra.

There is one; Black Sheep lol. I think it's from New Zealand.
It's not that Neumann is a bad guy, it's that she's aligned with Homelander or has worked with him more than once, who's the real problem.
Neumann literally blew up members of congress to keep herself hidden and advance her own power.
She’s evil in her own right.
Idk how you turned it into a question about real life and deeming people "disturbing" over that. relax man😂
Yeah, low key hoping for an A-train trying to avoid Homelander scene
Bro Huey betrer go on that fucken Di vinci tour by the end of this series man! 😭😭😭😭😭
I heard 2 car doors close in the last scene, do idlk if Kessler's real or not.
Cup Noodles are really tasty in a bread ‘n butter sandwich 😋
Like I was about to cry but then the smartass in me kicked in & was like: "I mean Hughie, you literally got mf bodied because you couldn't let go so..."😬 It still sucks because his dad didn't deserve that but tbh I rather him go out like that instead of getting absolutely brutalized, after watching the last episode🫢👍💯
Jar jar binks? 😮😮
Everybody tough until they see Huey pops die shi tragic😢
Damn intro 😂👏🏼
The irony that homelander and Ryan are bonding over saving a girl from sexual harassment when his own mother was raped by homelander and that’s how he came to be..it’s so twisted n weird…but I think that will be how they turn Ryan away from homelander.. because he clearly doesn’t know what happened
if A-Train ran,
Would he have a heart attack?
Nah he has a new heart now
Why you gotta make me cry!? P.S. My Dad died in the hospital :(
Neumann's not a bad guy? Really? It's been too long since we all saw her introduce her superpowers by popping the heads of whistleblowers and desperate friends. I know yall like a bad girl, but Neumann is closer to Azula than Rhaenyra.
Seriously, no one is going to say anything about the fact that two boys very similar to the two of you appeared in the public???????? I don't understand
Diabolical
What is it about us, as men, that we constantly wipe our mouths when trying to hold back our tears?....
