Big, interesting concepts, things we are unsure about, thought proviking ideas. It all sounds interesting to me, we need to see how the execution is, but I think they can do it well, we just need to give it a chance. Now is not the time to be making your mind up on the series. Some people just need to relax, after 10 years we are getting new Avatar in animation and we are getting multiple projects, some of the negativity is just a bit much at this early stage and it makes me more worried about the fandom's behavior than anything to do with the new content we are getting.
You are always awesome And you’re right we need to be thought-provoking Like on topics such as this. If there’s one criticism I have from the leaks is the working story Seem to be a Retread of Kyoshi story from the novels and The Twin Avatar idea In which we kinda had/sort of with Roku and Yasu otherwise, what was the point of Yasu anyway or giving Roku a twin in the first place when it should have been always Roku and Sozin being friends since birth?
also Morgan, you are the MVP of the avatar fandom, I didn't know your channel during the Korra era, but I love that you will guide us on this ride of the new content! much love, good job on all these level headed videos :D
Technically vaatu was already part of raava when she and korra bonded even if he was at his absolute minimum size and power so it stands to reason that the entity that is raava and vaatu bonded with korra as one whole new entity
5:40 I have a feeling the whole "drafted into war" thing may be a misinterpretation/poor choice of words, and this is actually just benders being recruited into scouting parties that venture out of the havens to gather resources. Based off what we know so far, my theory is that leaving the spirit portals open had the unintended side effect of bringing back the Spirit Wilds, and the 7 havens now are like the Lion Turtle cities from Wan's era There was also a previous mention of the White Lotus fending off sandstorms from the Havens, so this could also be what benders are drafted for.
What I will say is that it definitely seems like the premise of the show will have a lot of these things be mysterious. Probably like LoK Book 1 when the whole thing about how Amon can remove bending was a mystery, and the initial info he claimed (spirits blessing him) was false. Potentially the entire show could be about trying to make sense of what is really going on. I don't think Mike and Bryan will just dump some explanation that would feel wrong to fans if they were worried that, say, bonebending in the Kyoshi novels would have been too similar to bloodbending.
At the beginning of Korra, we would never have had the tools to justify the blood bending in the day, the resurgence of airbenders. As long as it's well justified two Avatar twins could work. I think the annoyance comes from Roku's book, since he had a non-avatar twin.
Maybe the other Avatar has Vaatu inside? Similarly, maybe Kyoshi also absorbed a second spirit during her long life, and Yasu was born with that spirit. Perhaps a younger character inhabiting that spirit (essentially being the reincarnation of Yasu) could show up, and the main antagonist is trying to get to that kid in order to harness the power of that spirit.
Maybe they can change /rewrite the lore as to why Vaatu is in the Nisha. Since korra is the first avatar since harmonic convergence since wan underwent that 10,000 years ago and since he was trapped in the tree and not a part of him was inside wan like how is inside of korra, this can be a new phenomenon that not even people inside the ATLA universe know about. Vaatu is added to the equation in a way he wasn’t added in before. Perhaps this will be a new phenomenon going forward and after a whole four cycles completes, Vaatu will have the bending capabilities of all four nations, with him added one bending style to his arsenal in each lifetime. Just some food for thought.
Also, perhaps the situation that caused the wasteland brought about harmonic convergence quicker than normal and korra had to utilize both Raava and Vaatu to shape the world, which brought about the wastelands as a result, abs because she used both at a time that possibly made her avatar spirit its most strongest, it caused Vaatu to bond to her, making him reincarnate into someone else like Raava reincarnates into someone. Just wanted to elaborate on my thoughts.
Have we considered that Korra may have extended her lifespan? If she’s the most powerful bender, can we guess that she extended her age beyond the point that Kyoshi did? Initial rumours said that this takes place 100 years after Korra, but perhaps that has now changed, and perhaps we’re looking at this series taking place centuries later?
Twin Avatars has never been my favourite concept, honestly I think in large part because it gets suggested by the fandom so much, I’ve grown a bit fatigued by it. But there’s still so much we don’t know. It does seem that this is meant to be a mystery plotline for the series, which could go in very cool directions. I agree that already the light/dark symbolism seems to be laid on quite thick and that we’re probably going to get a twist thrown into that at some point. Correct me if I’m wrong, but there’s been nothing showing either twin using the Avatar State yet, right? So perhaps they both have the four elements, but only one has Raava. I don’t know if lion turtles could have been involved with the twins to accomplish that. That said, Wan had to train super hard in the other elements before he could take in more than one. If they were babies when this happened, I don’t know if that changes things. The Vaatu stuff seems tricky because if he did bond with Nisha somehow, would he not just immediately take over her like he did with Unalaq? All he really wants is a vessel.
Yes, this is key to consider in terms of the end of Korra's era. If things started to go VERY badly very quickly Korra may have had to factor in the impact on Vaatu as well as anything else going on.
@TheAangGang Yes, but it was a question they answered back when Korra was airing like 10 years ago. It doesn't mean they have to commit to that as locked in canon, if they want to use Vaatu earlier they are not going to limit themselves because they answered a question years ago. And again we don't know for sure Vaatu is a factor in what is going on in the new series, but I wouldn't rule him out because of an interview question.
Thank you for taking this news with an open mind. I have been so upset by the outrage. We hardly know anything about the show, people should at least wait and see what happens. The show sounds interesting to me. I personally loved Korra for not playing it safe, but the outrage towards that show just made me feel trained when wanting to interreact with the fandom I am apart of. Now the same is happening here. I am also a huge lore buff, even I was apprehensive about some of the potential information. However, I always state that the show's creators are the real lore buffs. They know what the lore is and I trust that they will handle it in a proper way. This is their universe and they made the lore, just because something seems to contradict past information does not mean it breaks the lore. We just don't know enough yet.
I share a lot of the same sentiments. I’ve pulled away a lot from most of the Avatar-related fandom groups just because of how difficult it is to get interesting discussions related to Korra before it eventually devolves into “Korra’s the worst Avatar ever!” I’m sure though that no matter what, this show will be interesting even if it is different.
If split spirits turn out to be what it is, I would love it if they explore how that happens. Specifically, how the moon spirit was bonded to Yue without the Harmonic convergence itself. Were they able to bond easier because it was only a part of the moon bonding with her and not the whole being like Raava to the Avatar? It's important to keep in mind that when Raava began shrinking, she was able to temporarily enter Wans body and activate the Avatar State. If this isn't it, was it because Yue was healed in the Spirit Oasis? Then, perhaps whatever caused Pavi's leg to be amputated, she might've been healed in a spirit oasis by Raava somehow. Because the world is now effectively turned into the spirit wilds, there could be several spirit water oasis around just like how Kya healed Korra, Bolin, and Mako in one of the puddles near the tree of time. Another option could be that the twins were actually brought through the Republic City portal by the White Lotus but Pavi is deemed unqualified by them eventually. The question now becomes: Will Raava be the one to heal Pavi's wounds which resulted to some of her power transferring over to actually save her life? That could be interesting. It's also not entirely impossible that tiny Vaatu is the one to heal Pavi and impart some of his "life" to her, under his "dark contingency plan". But then, Pavi being able to bend 4 elements will need to be explained. Very much interested to see what they come up with regardless.
(edit) lol you sid this in your video but thsts my guess thet eoulr happen) 8:00 hmm 🤔 what I could see as a possibility is because vaatu is no longer held up to a tree, he is part of raava as much raava is apart of vaatu. So because now vaatu grows inside raava while the other two may not be the "dark avatar" per say but rather because now both spirits are free they are able to reincarnated to the twins because they are from the same blood at the same time. But we'll see how things goes. I'm curious about how it could happen. Or is it a unknown Spirit that give temporary power avatar power to the other twin ?
I'm very skeptical about both twins being the Avatar. I will need to see official confirmation on this. I really don't believe in this at all. The storyboards are by far the most credible source, I wouldn't be surprised if some of the other stuff was invented. I don't think that 100% of these rumors are legitimate, though I don't think they are all wrong either. Another great video as always, and I loved your balanced thoughts in the beginning of this video about how we should behave and be open-minded!
About the havens: We already have 7 nations - Fire Nation (1), Air Nation (2), Northern (3) and Southern (4) Water tribes, Earth Republic (5), United Republic Nation (6) and Jasmine Island (7). What changes is the symbolism of 4 elements. I would bet they could go for 5 elements + Air in the symbology (Wood, Metal, Earth, Fire, Water). But what would fit would be the 7 Chakras. As Toph said, vines exist all over the planet. And Korra has already developed the ability to "read" the vines and also manipulate the energy contained in the vines. Creating the spiritual portal and creating the energy dome that protected her and Kuvira. Possible situation: In the cataclysm, Korra uses the Vines (originating from Vaatu) and creates energy domes in the strongest spiritual points on the planet, 7 in total. This would consume a lot of her energy, this would be a justification for reducing her lifespan. In this case, the vines, being "part" of the Vaatu, may have some role in the division of the Avatar. And in addition, the amount of energy to create the "domes" could have caused the vines to appear in places where they would be predators for that environment, therefore both wastelands and the cataclysm itself.
The idea of one twin having Raava and the other Vatuu is actually really interesting, one thing that needs to be considered here is that after Korra defeated Vatuu he was reborn inside Raava, which means he has been living inside Korra along with Raava the entire time after season 2 and beyond, you can imagine this would have consequences for the next avatar in the cycle, when the next avatar is born thanks to Vatuu they will be split into twins, one Raava and the other Vatuu. However both twins are reincarnations of Korra. Maybe this would be a good lesson for both spirits, rather than trying to destroy each other they will instead learn to workd together as a true Yin and Yang.
@@JamStan1978 probably doing it the same as I did for netflix Avatar. First few reactions up for everyone, the rest for channel members/patrons. To avoid messing with copyright I always do full length reactions, just no show footage, but I make it as easy as possible to line up the timing of the episode to my reaction. Aang movie will have to be more of an analysis commentary track, since I am not going to be recording myself reacting at the cinema, lol.
The name Ruhi means “spirit/soul” and Geet means “song”. Seems like an interesting connection the the twins’ personalities. Pavi and Nisha are just common nicknames so I wouldn’t give that any mind.
I have watched so much atla/tlok reaction and the creators are always complimenting how much good the fandom is but now what have we become .. where's the balance
@Robinz_killer and I have not seen one major person be able to speak their mind about being worried for the lore of this universe. I watched the shows from opening night, rewatched them thousands of times, read and reread the books, comics and all supplemental lore materials and I can safely say I’m not happy with how these leaks are going. I’m tired of being gaslit that my views are a minority or being accused of being a false fan.
We live in such a hyperbolic time for media especially media that has been long existing. If a new project isn't exactly what a person wants or is expecting the write it off and rage over it
As far as my guesses about them both being avatars go I think it might be something similar to Maki and Mai in Jujutsu Kaisen where identical twins are considered to be one soul split in two or perhaps similar to the idea presented in RF Kuangs Poppy Wars where two souls can were bonded and thats often done with twins. But in that case I would expect them to be spiritually linked only, as in one twin would not have the ability to bend all 4 elements.
thoughts early in the video: I'm game for new directions. I like them swinging for the fences and we ofc need more context for these ideas. I give this series a good chance. also like this more then "modern day" kinda avatar series which I was kind of afraid for for a long time post Korra avatar. And this new show seems to have some Nausicaa vibes so love that too.
I don't mind the dark avatar route, I feel it didn't work too well in Korra with Unalaq (don't get me wrong I still love LOK and season 2). But I don't mind another go at a Dark Avatar and I could see that when Korra gets reborn, Vaatu also kind of gets reborn since he always lived deep inside of Raava from the point of being destroyed. Tho it would be waaaay early for this but again we don't know the full context.
with dark avatar unalaq not working super well for me i'd just say, great idea but didn't love the execution of the dark avatar arc in book 2. so revisiting this idea but doing somethin cooler with it I would be down for.
We assume all human spirits reincarnate, but humans don't maintain knowledge of their previous lives. While with Spirits they maintain their memory/personality between forms as far as we know. So while technically true in the sense that there is some sort of reincarnation going on in both cases, I wouldn't call it equally true as there are differences, mainly identity being maintained for spirits and not humans.
@AirspeedPrime I still disagree. The idea that a normal person can sometimes remember their past lives a real thing that some spiritual people honestly think they can do in real life. It wouldn't make sense to make that an avatar exclusive power. If in the mytholigy they copied it from, literally anyone can do it via meditation. Plus, I wouldn't say spirits retain their memory. We saw a spirit's past form temporarily reform in the comics. But I doubt the birds she became remember her life any more than Aang remembered Roku's.
@@rolay7730 "But I doubt the birds she became remember her life any more than Aang remembered Roku's." Tienhai literally discusses basically her entire past with Aang referencing being the caretaker, seeing humans build the city, being friends with old Iroh, her marriage to the king and her death. She remembers everything from her previous form.
@AirspeedPrime If I remember that comic right, she did that after she reformed from the birds. Which sounds like Roku talking about his past life. Which he can do even though Aang doesn't remember it. Thought if they did say all of that in bird form that could just be the past life talking through them. That has also happened with Aang.
Hey I just have to say thank you so much for just having an open mind with these leaks. It’s been pretty disheartening seeing so many just writing this off completely and just assuming the new avatar only exist to push some “woke” agenda crap. I won’t lie I’m really only skeptical with the idea of both of the twins being the avatar but again I’ll wait to see what they cook up. I love both shows so I’m way more open to see what they have in store than a lot of other people. I’m just afraid that even if the series turns out good. It’s going to be held back over the fandom’s obsession to just hate anything that isn’t just Aang
Soooo all this avatar stuff and we still have dragon prince season 7! How you feel about season 7? I really enjoy season 6. Do u think anyone will die people are saying callum or terry will die!? 😱 Also what your thoughts with lord verin? I thought it was very sad with how they ended it I'll miss verin ngl.
I am excited for Season 7, but I am a bit confused about the status of the show where this both is and isn't the final season. That puts my speculation in a weird spot where I don't know if this is a proper finale or they are talking about other potential seasons as a completely separate arc. With character deaths, I hope they don't do them just for shock value, but if they do it well like Viren's death then I think they can really work. I am hyped to watch it and talk about it.
The argument people can give is that Vaatu was not part of the equation. He was sealed in the tree. Now that Vaatu is part of Raava and growing inside her , also combined with the avatar cycle restarting, there could have been an effect of some kind that led to twins “ sharing “ avatar powers. It would ultimately depend on what kind of phenomenon brought this about rather than just “ boom twin avatars are born for no reason other than they are very special twins “. Also the Moon spirit didn’t split into two entities. It gave a portion of its life force to Yue. Giving life energy ≠ splitting into two separate entities. So the moon spirit can’t be used as a first instance of spirits splitting themselves as shown in the video. Overall, how the writers will explain this twin avatar phenomenon needs to be very solid. Which I honestly have little faith in.
Twin Avatar and setting sounds cool.. All this light and dark spirit stuff sounds boring.. We've all seen the light vs dark theam in media a thousand times.
The twin avatar theory has always been my least favorite so im a little apprehensive, but I'll be open minded because i love this franchise. My guess is it'll be a Raava/Vaatu situation, BUT I'm still holding out on the possibility that its Yun and Father Gloworm (idc if it makes sense but i just want more yum content). I used to be really close friends with a pair of twins and they always hated being seen as two parts of a whole so I'm not really a big fan of the double ravaa idea. I'd just perfer them to be two separate people, spirit included. But it'll a good opportunity to tell us the specifics of how reincarnation works in the avatar universe. I'm unsure still how I'm feeling about the whole haven idea. With the information we have it seems to make a lot of sense but I really liked Republic City and I hope we get to see it in some way though I doubt it's going to be one of the havens because of the spirit portal right in the middle. The thing i want the most from this show is more history for the world if avatar and thats pretty much a guarantee if they talk about what korra did so as long as its made with care ill be able to enjoy it even if i dont like every plot point individually
Yeah my assumption from my last video on this was either military rank or a way to highlight what bending each person has, which in a world with no nations might be important.
With everything that's happening in Avatar and the new "news" and leaks that I hope are just ideas and not official, I was very disappointed because for the first time in my life I felt what many felt when they saw Korro's mecha robot, however it still felt like the essence of the Avatar world, however with the future avatar Pavi or whatever, I don't feel that way, I don't feel like I'm in Avatar anymore, if they do it right the idea of the dystopian future can work, let's remember from the second Korra book things pointed to the world moving back to what it was or similar to the Wan era, but I don't know there's something in me that still doesn't like it, I just have to wait and see how things turn out. Now then, why am I giving this long comment and what does it have to do with the video? Well, you see, Kelsang is a great character and definitely if people love this character we want to see more. But the problem here is that the creators of Avatar are quite stubborn and obstinate with an idea to the point that if they don't like something or have creative differences they are capable of throwing everything away, don't forget that they did somewhat agree with Shyamalan's movie and that they abandoned the Live action due to creative differences (there were probably more reasons but the main one I want to highlight is this one), so they don't like to take out a story that they already gave, that's why we won't have a series, neither of Kyoshi nor of Yangchen from the books maybe of their lives later but not of them. And they are truly understood but they miss out on winning more people and also reaching a wider general public, they focus a lot on the English-speaking public and give them more content in general and that's fine but they forget the rest, to the point that we remember that there are still parts of Latin America where the books do not arrive in an official translation, at least as far as I have seen only by the Sigel publishing house in Mexico. And what I mean with all this is that if the creators are very stubborn and screw up their project, which we remember the fandom in general is waiting to revive, it is likely that the Avatar universe will end. It has already happened, we have had so many failures, to the point that I don't know how long Studio Avatar can resist before going bankrupt. Now in relation to the video. That the creators being so stubborn, it is likely that even if they see the appreciation that the public has for Kelsang, they will forget him just as they almost forgot Suki and we will never see more of him, and it is also likely that we will never see more animated series of the avatars of the past (which in my humble opinion would be better to focus on showing us the past and how we got to the 4 nations instead of restarting everything that can go wrong in the future. There is still a lot to tell and explain, and if they have not yet explained about many issues that are still pending, even less so in the future, and that is why I think it would be best to see the past and not the future). But maybe they do everything right and I'll shut up, in the meantime great video. And what is your REAL opinion about my comment ?
My REAL opinion on your comment is to just be a bit more positive and optimistic. At the very least hold back some of this rush to form a strong opinion until later. We know SO LITTLE about Avatar Studios overall and this Earth Avatar Show. Now is not the time to make these big judgement calls, we just don't have enough information. Especially when it comes to what content will and won't be covered in projects, we only have info on the first 2 and there is likely to be many more, so we have no clue if stuff will be forgotten a bit or not. My worries are less about the studio and more that the fandom is heading down a bad path and beginning to become extremely picky and negative about everything.
@@AirspeedPrimebut i fear that avatar studios will close down, because of paramount if the so called "fan loyal community" does NOT go to the cinema to meet the box office totals so that avatar studios remains alive (like marvel studios mcu) as well as the series reaction reviews only because mike and byran sometimes just maybe sometimes DO NOT listen to the opinions of the fans instead of the self interest of mike and byran themselves look at isayama the attack on titan author he reads a lot of the fans' opinions and not just himself and that's how attack on titan could be ALIVE and POPULAR (i know what i'm talking about when you airspeedprime don't know today please believe me) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ?
I find it funny that within the avatar franchise the idea of change, passing of the torch, differences between eras, and each avatar choosing to embrace change while juggling their past lives and avatar responsibilities are all core themes yet the fandom is so resistant to actual change🤦♂️
I agree with everything you posted on twitter. It is funny though cause sadly a lot of the fandom do hate Korra so I think that will also be the part of the fandom that is more vocally negative about these leaks
I liked Korra almost as much as I liked aang, I would have no problem with this if pavi was the only one that was the true avatar. I’m tired of the constant gaslighting that lore destruction is needed to tell a new story, it’s not avatar and the sooner we come to that conclusion then we could enjoy a completely new IP with these characters
@@luigi5341 Yeah. Because everyone instantly assumes the worst. People who dislike Korra say 'OH there she goess ruining everything again". People who love Korra "There they go! Torturing Korra again!" when really, what everyone needs to do is calm down and wait for the actual show to come out before you start jumping to conclusions.
@@DistinctlyMeFilms I think it's fine if people don't like the concepts being presented in the show, even if we don't know the full context. I think it's unlikely that everyone is going to like every single installment in the franchise. Personally, I don't care for the post apocalyptic setting and I don't think any amount of context will change that.
Thanks for all the information updates it's far too early to judge anything who knows they might change certain things like they did for both ATLA and Korra.
I personally believe that all books for these new avatars should be an expansion of Book 2 of Korra and the entire Mystic part of Aang. They must delve a lot into the spiritual aspect. And for me that's good. Being the spiritual part that will heal their physical world.
Honestly the world is so fun and bending always looks amazing so just give me two powerful avatars bending all the time and it will be eye candy to me. And they are twins?? This is going to be epic, i can already see some very epic moments happening. Hopefully theres a few emotional moments too.
Sounds like what I suspected. Fighting a war outside. My suspicion that Cataclysm is related to an anger of the spirits towards humanity bringing an industrial development and exploiting resources. There are hints of it in turf wars and also in the lore. Perhaps something happened that angered the spirits and destructive war between humanity and spirits caused a cataclysm.
Can I just say what a hilarious and novel time to be alive? We are speculating who’s the next Avatar just like they do in-universe, and some people are mad because its not their idealized version of the next avatar 🤣 Soo meta lmao
See, i'm with you on the whole "being optimistic" front, but if there are two Avatar's, you really don't see that as a head scratcher? Like at all? They established the Avatar as a singular entity. "Only one who can master all four elements". Having this completely throws that entire concept out the window. It's no longer a singular messianic figure who maintains order. So what happens when they both die? Surely they both start new Avatar cycles, correct? After them, there are now two Avatar's forever. It's a horrible idea. Something a 6 year old would think of. A much, much, much better idea would be to have them be twins, but only one would be the Avatar. Then the story can have an interesting "My sister is the chosen one" dynamic. And it would be consistent. ONLY ONE AVATAR. So you can say all you want that "We don't know all the lore", but we actually do. If Korra never happened, we'd only have The Last Airbender to draw from as source. And sure enough, whenever Korra messed with the rules established by TLA, people complained. Go figure. And they had every right to.
Morgan, would you be okay with Bryke adding the ability to shoot lasers from your hands as an expansion of energybending? *It's not about execution.* There are just some things that DON'T need to be tampered with. Certain ideas that mess with the tone or feel of a universe or story. Raava and Vaatu for example was a rancid idea from the start. Basically spills all the beans on the Avatar as a whole. No more questions, no more intrigue or wonder. Just a guy who fused with a spirit 10,000 years ago that had all his powers given to him through conventional means. It doesn't matter if Bryke thought of every reason to have it make logical sense (which it still doesn't funny enough), it's just something that should not have been told.
I do have some concerns. Twin Avatars with both of them having access to the 4 elements wouldn't do it for me, i just don't see both having a connection to Raava as something that makes sense unless you retcon how the Avatar cycle works. A dark Avatar would make more sense and would be interesting to see, it is something that happened in LoK but this time it would play out over all seasons. It would need a major event that makes Vaatu reincarnate sooner, disregarding the time to the next Harmonic Convergence.
I have a logical (but theoretical) explanation why Korra had to destroy the world. COULD IT BE THAT IT HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH "TOGUKA" FROM THE korra turf wars comic series that he came back and really wanted to do something with the spirit world and this earthly world too and THAT'S WHY Korra had to save or destroy the world and had to die because of Tokuga after 20 or 30 years (I don't know how old Korra is in the film but anyway) that he came back because of his ideology if he had one at all or is it because of something else or other villains what do you think is it likely that Tokuga was EVERYTHING or not because Korra or whoever said this at the end in the comic: "But I doubt we've seen the last of him" !?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
Big, interesting concepts, things we are unsure about, thought proviking ideas. It all sounds interesting to me, we need to see how the execution is, but I think they can do it well, we just need to give it a chance.
Now is not the time to be making your mind up on the series.
Some people just need to relax, after 10 years we are getting new Avatar in animation and we are getting multiple projects, some of the negativity is just a bit much at this early stage and it makes me more worried about the fandom's behavior than anything to do with the new content we are getting.

Technically vaatu was already part of raava when she and korra bonded even if he was at his absolute minimum size and power so it stands to reason that the entity that is raava and vaatu bonded with korra as one whole new entity
5:40 I have a feeling the whole "drafted into war" thing may be a misinterpretation/poor choice of words, and this is actually just benders being recruited into scouting parties that venture out of the havens to gather resources.
Based off what we know so far, my theory is that leaving the spirit portals open had the unintended side effect of bringing back the Spirit Wilds, and the 7 havens now are like the Lion Turtle cities from Wan's era
There was also a previous mention of the White Lotus fending off sandstorms from the Havens, so this could also be what benders are drafted for.
Korra officially canonically the shittiest avatar ever if that’s the case.
@@frankheninja1unfortunately :( she didn't deserve that at all
What I will say is that it definitely seems like the premise of the show will have a lot of these things be mysterious.
I feel excited, it feels just like back then, when all we had of korra was a name and a picture of her looking over republic city.
i completely agree. I hate the current knee jerk reaction stuff that plagues bigger series communities.
Just like Jinora's light sped up the process of Raava's reformation, maybe the darkness of apocalypse sped the process for Vaatu as well
Yes, this is key to consider in terms of the end of Korra's era. If things started to go VERY badly very quickly Korra may have had to factor in the impact on Vaatu as well as anything else going on.
@@AirspeedPrimedidn’t the creators confirm vaatu would only be a problem for the avatar in a very very long time?
@TheAangGang did you not watch the video? He talked about this
@TheAangGang Yes, but it was a question they answered back when Korra was airing like 10 years ago.
@@LJLvids timestamp? Sorry I probably forgot. I was doing something else when watching as well
Thank you for taking this news with an open mind.
You are still the best Avatar youtuber and probably always will be
(edit) lol you sid this in your video but thsts my guess thet eoulr happen)
8:00 hmm 🤔 what I could see as a possibility is because vaatu is no longer held up to a tree, he is part of raava as much raava is apart of vaatu.
I always enjoy your discussion videos, buddy. Thanks.
When new content releases will you be doing episode reactions? I would even pay for your patreon to watch full length reactions.
@@AirspeedPrime That will be great!! I will love to see your real full time reaction to the new tv show.
The name Ruhi means “spirit/soul” and Geet means “song”. Seems like an interesting connection the the twins’ personalities. Pavi and Nisha are just common nicknames so I wouldn’t give that any mind.
If they do go with the twin avatars , I'm happy that means they won't do the "oops wrong avatar" story, because that has been done...
@ can u explain me how does the lore break because of the new series
I refuse to judge the show until I actually watch the show…
I'll go with that sentiment too. At this point we're running on speculation.
Man I am excited to see where it goes.
thoughts early in the video: I'm game for new directions. I like them swinging for the fences and we ofc need more context for these ideas. I give this series a good chance. also like this more then "modern day" kinda avatar series which I was kind of afraid for for a long time post Korra avatar. And this new show seems to have some Nausicaa vibes so love that too.
People don’t know how to let things breathe and be open minded to things
If we have a new dark avatar, I do hope, vaatu and raava becomes more order and chaos and less good and evil.
I question the whole, "You can't fully destroy a spirit, they just comes back in a new form" Thing.
Isn't that equally true for humans?
We assume all human spirits reincarnate, but humans don't maintain knowledge of their previous lives. While with Spirits they maintain their memory/personality between forms as far as we know.
So while technically true in the sense that there is some sort of reincarnation going on in both cases, I wouldn't call it equally true as there are differences, mainly identity being maintained for spirits and not humans.
@AirspeedPrime
I still disagree.
But I doubt the birds she became remember her life any more than Aang remembered
Roku's.
@@rolay7730 "But I doubt the birds she became remember her life any more than Aang remembered
Roku's."
Tienhai literally discusses basically her entire past with Aang referencing being the caretaker, seeing humans build the city, being friends with old Iroh, her marriage to the king and her death.
She remembers everything from her previous form.
@AirspeedPrime
If I remember that comic right, she did that after she reformed from the birds.
Also what your thoughts with lord verin? I thought it was very sad with how they ended it I'll miss verin ngl.
I am excited for Season 7, but I am a bit confused about the status of the show where this both is and isn't the final season. That puts my speculation in a weird spot where I don't know if this is a proper finale or they are talking about other potential seasons as a completely separate arc.
With character deaths, I hope they don't do them just for shock value, but if they do it well like Viren's death then I think they can really work.
I am hyped to watch it and talk about it.
How would the twin light Avatars make sense in light of what we saw in the Roku novel? Raava only went to Roku rather than both of them.
WHY IS EVERYBODY HATING ON THIS??? 😭 It all sounds amazing!
It does! It sounds very mysterious and I'm interested seeing what happened
Because taste is subjective and lets face it, depending onn the execution this could very easily suck.
@@bramderacourt9499 but given their track record of 6 well regarded seasons, what makes you think this will be any different?
Maybe one of them is the spirit avatar
maybe the different orange and blue shapes are meant to be like different military ranks or positions
Yeah my assumption from my last video on this was either military rank or a way to highlight what bending each person has, which in a world with no nations might be important.
Well all the names sound so authentic indian😮

Cool!
From what I've seen online Korra stans don't like this either.

You look different
*It's not about execution.*
There are just some things that DON'T need to be tampered with.
COULD IT BE THAT IT HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH "TOGUKA" FROM THE korra turf wars comic series that he came back and really wanted to do something with the spirit world and this earthly world too and THAT'S WHY Korra had to save or destroy the world and had to die because of Tokuga after 20 or 30 years (I don't know how old Korra is in the film but anyway) that he came back because of his ideology if he had one at all or is it because of something else or other villains what do you think is it likely that Tokuga was EVERYTHING or not because Korra or whoever said this at the end in the comic:
"But I doubt we've seen the last of him"
!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
That's y i hate korra more dan ruko
Have we considered that Korra may have extended her lifespan? If she’s the most powerful bender, can we guess that she extended her age beyond the point that Kyoshi did?
Initial rumours said that this takes place 100 years after Korra, but perhaps that has now changed, and perhaps we’re looking at this series taking place centuries later?
