It's self-expression. Some people prefer the rhythmic complexity and unsettling/aggressive soundscapes of songs like this. Like any form of art, the purpose is to reach catharsis. Here, it is fuelled by rage (at least to me). It taps into some kind of primal instinct. It's loud, noisy and unforgiving. Like warfare in sonic form. We have to move away from thinking only melody classifies as music. Exploring noise is a very different but equally valid form of writing music. The same 3 chord songs are written over and over again in pop music and no one bats an eye to this fact. Now that is detrimental to the artistic value of music.
