In case I have an e60 nfl with adaptive headlights and aftermarket LCI lights (plug&play) and I want to change the LM1 module to make a retrofit to the LM2, in order to be able to activate the welcome lights and the intensity of the angel eyes and the dayline. May you please explain in a video or explain me how this retrofit can be done, I heard something that there is also an ALH module from the headlight and the wires need to be connected to the LM2 and then coded with NCS Expert. I will really appreciate if you can explain me or make a video how to make this retrofit.
Is there an possibility to change what button activates the welcoming light?
So that you could activate the lights with unlocking the car?

Hey quick question, I just installed a led ambient lighting kit on my bmw and I’m wondering if it’s possible to adjust the bmw computer to be able to run the specific relay that powers them. Currently the lights from the kit only turn on when the engine is running and even then it only powers the leds on the dash and not the ones on the door, the lights installed on the doors only power on when the car is running and a door is open. I would really appreciate the help thanks.
My cousing bmw e60 2004 535d has a problem with the angel eyes they turn on for 5 seconds after that they stop working any ideas on why this is happening

Hey man I have e60 550i with the cic retrofit however no Bluetooth audio or usb/aux port. Any ideas on what to do to get those? Also the bmw connect online too?
you need to add combox retrofit to the cic, that was only available on e90s so youll have no trick the car into thinking its a e90 so the combox will work.
Hi how did u code the CIC display unit to the one u showed? Mine is the E60 old display.
its not coding, its a whole new unit, new screen, controller.
Nice video. Id like to know how you got the newer key to work. I have a 2008 e60 and have been looking for a way to get the newer key.
this specific F series style key wont work on your 2008, BUT their is a way to upgrade it to look like a newer f series after the one i have, the one with the pointier end, will order the key and make a video on it. thanks for the suggestion!

Search your model on google followed by “coding cheat sheet” usually someone post all the features you can code

I followed your steps. Initially it did not work for me. After searching, turns out I had to do one more change:
CAS: parameter SONDERTASTE_PANIKALARM change "nicht_aktiv" to "panikalarm". Then it worked.
Opening the trunk did not work the same after that. Before it was just a long press on the key to open the trunk. Now it is single press, then press again and hold.
Hopefully it helps someone. E60 525i 2005.

I installed your sport mode button and the light keeps going out. No biggie, but I installed an Technic amp wiring kit, and it worked fine. But now I get the SOS error, and no noise, when I unplug it and use the BT module, also from your company, the left side audio is gone. Any tips? Keep up the awesome work man
Jeff Gombosi the sport mode check the ground. That’s the likely cause of the light. The technic amp the sos error is wrong the green fiber optic wire transfer it to the main plug. And the left side check that the plugs are in the right slot. Red 7, black 8, white 2 should be in this spin slots if only 1 side sounds like the 7,2 might not be seated all the way in.

@@roskinc i don't know why, but for me isn't working... Double click on trunk butto does nothing..
Now it's working for me, i coded with Carly for Android, but i don't know why always when i press the button, the lights come up, but the trunk is open as well.. 😂 Do i need to press the button once short, or hold it longer 2-3s..? I don't want to everytime close the trunk.. 😂
Matus Kunik how did you code it with carly? Going via lma or anything else? I can’t find the right setting.
I did exactly as in the video but it does not work. It keep on daytime running lights when I lock the car. And I dont know how to disable that :(

Please do a coding video to install your aux cable because your old video isn’t compatible with the new ncs
it should be the same, but now that i can screen record, ill definitely record my next aux coding and upload, thanks for the comment!
I had no problem coding aux with the new ncs. There were 2 errors that came up while coding but a quick google search fixed it

Did it .... No pathway light using the remote ...
Do have the second duration in the CCC menu and all but the Remote trunk button (brief press) doesn't do anything for any lights.
Remote pops open (long press) fine.
My AUX coding recently worked fine, just as the permanent speed reading int he cluster went fine.
Don't get it why the the Pathway lights won't work.
If you re-read the module is the string still reading as nitch_aktiv?

I worked it out, thanks to Pawel SWI.
I think there is a difference to the EU models and the US spec E60's. certain things are 'set' different by default at the factory.
For me this made it work:

This worked for me, a 2004 E60 525i
Unfortunatelly this does not work for my e60. I can get pathway lights only when i leave switch in AUTO mode and turn on the High beam, then it works for the time set, but not using the button on the fob

@@saidtiganoff5888 idrive wouldn’t matter, car in video is 2004 so first year production. Plus lights controlled by lm module, so the idrive version wouldn’t matter
