This was such a surprise for us and we did not know that it was out there. Such interesting place and the area has so many exciting features that we will share more of later. Thanks for your FANTASTIC support Cynthia and we send a hug from us :)
This forest is the gift that keeps on giving,a metropolis of bunkers/barracks in a variety of designs. That tunnel was a nice surprise, can,t wait for the next episode.👍👍
Seriously, thank you guys, for suffering the rain, and pushing on through the forest, to bring us this amazing collection of crew bunkers. That alone would have been enough to stop most people, and is probably why those bunkers lie forgotten, and mostly untouched, since they were stripped of anything useable. The difference in styles is probably due to a number of construction phases, and uses, as the ammo dump expanded over the years. That tunnel was an incredible find, and from the look of it, abandoned mid construction. Just an amazing, unexpected find. Thank you for all you hard work, and dedication, to bring us such amazing, and fascinating, places. Lookign forward to more incredible locations from the WW2 Great Challenge Tour! Stay Safe! Stay Positive!
What a fantastic discovery. First thing I thought when I saw the food containers was, this place is almost untouched and should be metal detected. I wonder if the one bunker with the wall dividing the two rooms could have been an ammunition storage? No telling what is still there that you haven’t seen. Great exploration guys.
yes this was such a great surprise and we did not expect that at all. Just have to love such discoveries. Thanks so much Anthony for your great support :)
A complex that has been lost to time, well done for finding this place. There seems to be a major road nearby judging from the background traffic noise, so ir is amazing that this place has just vanished. So many different styles and not covered in graphetti, I wonder what you would find with your metal detector. Well done to young EE for spotting the first one. Stay safe and well my friends
This was amazing! All those bunkers that were there! That was a well fortified area for sure! I enjoyed every minute of this video guys. You two are awesome. Take care and stay safe. 💖💯
That place was spectacular!! There are so many different types of constructions out there, it truly is amazing!! I love these secluded places that haven't been destroyed by vandals, it is like looking into the past and piecing together what happened there all those years ago. Thanks for another wonderful explore, and I am looking forward to watching the rest of your exploration of this hidden gem!
What a fantastic and surprising explore, so much there and different structures. Good job EE for spotting so much to see. Love it when part 2 goes into part 3, can't wait. Well done team, thank you so much for the tour. Hope everyone is well and stay safe my friends.
Yes Allen , this was such a surprise and we did not even know about it at all. Such details and just AMAZING. Thanks so much for your FANTASTIC support :)
EE saying "why are you so blind" to you earlier in the video made me laugh:) Reminds me of my own teenage son. Long may your father and son adventures continue!
What a great location! It is interesting that it does not show up in old documentation. HH, you found a summer home with the two-room barrack. Now, the curiosity about the tunnels is what they intended to do. Is there a large bunker on the same hill? The tunnel material could be quartz or calcite. Great job, both of you, on this video. This trip was totally worth it. Stay safe and well.
That really is a crazy site! All those bunker barracks there. Really wish they had film from that time of the site. Would love to see how the soldiers lived in them and what they looked like when manned. Of course, I feel that way about many of the sites you visit. Really terrific that you found that there and that you weren't expecting all this to be there. So, love all these places you take us too. Thanks so much!
Agree if we only could have wound back time and just sat down and looked at the activity there. Would have been cool. More to come my friend and be safe out there :)
Wow!! What a great discovery HH & EE. Thank you both so much for your incredible work in finding hidden history and sharing it with us. As always " Good Hunting "
I am always surprised at the defenses you find in the covered terrain. You are really great sleuths, how do you find the aluminum food containers in the middle of no where!!! Bunkers in the Atlantic wall jungle! The wooden door looked original. What an interesting and forgotten location! Tunnel!! I wonder what it was used for? So many structures, how fun to explore! An untouched roll of WWII barbed wire, now that would be tough to bring back! Maybe the one with all the rooms was officer quarters? The furnished room with bullet holes was another first! So cool! Great share EE and HH!!
Well bring a EE and you will find :) I guess it just comes down to experience and knowing what to look for. I really wanted to being that roll but just not practical. Could be officer quarters yes. Thanks so much and greetings from us :)
Thanks! Getting through that wooded terrain had to be tough on the legs. All those barracks mean a lot of men there. But why ? Must be in next video 😊 You two are the best. Stay safe n happy freinds.
Excellent part two , what amazing discoveries , nature has hidden them well but they can't hide from supersonic E E , so looking forward to next episode , thanks for sharing.
Another great exploration history hunter and eagle eyes I hope that some day UA-cam will realize that your content is important to know a thanks for sharing this adventure I hope your history hunting family is doing well
@WW2HistoryHunter A war history fun thing about my area . I live close to Kingsbury abandoned military base. Every bomb and the ammo used in WWll from the Americans was made at this facility. I go there and explore time to time. It's cool on Google Earth. You can see hundreds of bunkers that was used to store the bombs. The address is Army Reserve Ctr, Kingsburybury In, 46345
For some reason, I am so interested in the German military in World War 2 I don't know why but it fascinates me. Your english is excellent I've been watching you for about a year now.I don't comment at all very very Rarely. But actually from watching you for over A. Year now you are one dedicated German. I'm trying to find history and preserve it if possible. Looking forward to more World War 2 finds. I hope you find some More stuff. This is so interesting. I hope you find some More stuff. This is so interesting.Your friend GMC guy. From the United States of America.❤❤❤❤
@WW2HistoryHunter ANY TIME MY FREIND CANT WAIT FOR OTHER UPLOAD AND I WILL BE MAKING COMMENTS ALOT MORE. THIS WAS A GREAT FIND. ABSOLUTELY AWESOME 👌 👏 👍 ❤️ CANT WAIT FOR OTHER VIDEO UPLOAD FROM YOU MY FREIND. TAKE CARE MY FREIND WE WILL TALK AGAIN I AM SURE OF IT 😉
WHAT AN AMAZING PLACE!!! All those small barracks; prob enough room for 6-8 men? I noticed before you went "off"to investigate more on what you said was a road to the right, there looked like several concrete structures to your left and front? Of course, they could be some we saw afterwards(around 8:05)??? It just puts you in "awe" to see that they dotted something just about everywhere in that place! Have you drawn up a map(maybe)that shows all these features you and EE found? Would be a great idea to get a full look on that place. Thanks for the show!!
History IS everywhere and so are SURPRISES ! Great find ! and unexpected as well ! I almost fell out of my chair laughing at the 7:15 minute mark and at the two food containers when EE asked you why are you so blind ? That was so funny of him , and I can assure you that he will pick on you some more hahaha , Also , in the last bunker with all of the bullet strikes in the walls , that if you were to look around on the floor under all the debris that you would probably find some shell casings telling you who it was and what kind of gun fired them , Probably an automatic or semi automatic rifle . Just a thought . Looking forward to maybe a part 3 to show what it was you were actually going after . As always stay safe and well , your friend , Mike
He he , EE is a free speaking boy and love that. He got me there :) Great explore and we loved to see that :) Thanks so much my friend and more to come :)
What a German complex , so far it indicates a large force ,it would be interesting to see what you could find in the forest if you had a Ground Penetrating Radar unit.
EE to HH Why are you so blind! lol cheeky but funny. What an Amazing Bonus site you guys have come accross that obviously has not had any humans in it for a very long time very cool indeed and that furniture HH maybe WW2 or cold War?. Super finds guys makes me feel good to have donated funds to become part of this exciting tour. I' am excited to see the follow up till then stay safe.
What was on the ground in front of you at 23:34? I guess it could be your shadow if your son was behind you shining a light? But i didnt see your shadow anywhere else though. It looks creepy lol. When i first saw it i thought you were gonna trip over some black object.
Ok I'm with EE why did they build this area??? Surely there must have been something very very important to warrant so many bunker barracks and the start of what looks to have been a very deep and big tunnel. I wonder if the switch to the corrugated iron roofs was due to running short of concreate. This was one of the very very rare times I found myself saying "Dang it HH tell us exactly where you are!" LOL I know that to preserve these sites you don't, this is one though if I were ever able to get to Europe I'd love to visit.
What will the History Hunter and Eagle Eyes of 100 years from now say about all the bunkers the world armies built during the Cold War? Hundreds of missile silos, dozens of launch control centers, thousands of weapon storage area bunkers.
