Yes it's unfortunate all the doorways were sealed. I am looking forward to your search for the DeHavilland Mosquito crash site. What a unique place to find. Stay happy n safe my friends.
Another great video, HH. You are absolutely correct. Blocking it off creates a challenge for someone to open the place up. The cast domes are beautiful and 100-150mm thick. Using the gantry crane would be mundane; now, a pair of mountain trolls would be more enjoyable. The tremendous powder canisters should be in a museum along with the communication wall block. More people should care about history, and we are constantly repeating it. Happy holidays to you, EE and BBG.
Fascinating and beautiful location. Such a shame that everything is sealed off. Would love to have seen the inside of that fire control bunker. Thank you and EE for the tour, can't wait for part 2.
Incredible to think those two powder canisters have just sat there all these years along with the electrical box with lid, that looked to be in great condition. Fabulous area to explore along with the sensational view.
YES ! Another challenge tour video to challenge me ! I can see and hear things that are familier to me . . . Stunning view as well ! Great job guys ! Waiting intently on the 2nd part Happy Holidays to you all ! Update , Only took me about 10 minutes to find the Optical Range Finder Bunker !
What a shame that the entrances to these facilities were all blocked so you could not access them. It must have been a very impressive and busy location during the war! It surprises me how different so many of these various positions are made up of all kinds of equipment. There was a great deal of improvisation using lots of materials from captured vehicles and ships to construct these places. I think all these places should be open to visitor! Thanks for taking us along with you and I look forward to what comes next! Stay well and safe!!
It makes me sad when we cant share the inside of such fantastic locations. Special place it is and we loved to see that. Thanks Donald and Happy Holidays from us :)
😢I am totally happy watching your adventures just remember to be careful love the you and son joke with each I can also joke with my kids keep up the great work
Definitely have not seen a cast iron observation post like that one before. The effort it would have taken to move that into position is just mind numbing. Would have loved to see what the inside of that bunker was like. It is such a tragedy that they have sealed up every single bunker, or entrance, in that location. I can understand doing that for tunnel complexes and bunkers with poor ventilation or sudden drops, or other safety issues, but not every single bunker. That, like you said, is robbing people of knowing, and exploring, History. And that is just not right. Hopefully one day, someone will come to there senses, and re-open at last the observation bunker. Looking forward to Part 2 from this location, and your Mosquito explore! Cheers to you both!
