- NBC News obtained over 60 minutes of security footage from a nearby restaurant showing some of the events leading up to George Floyd's arrest and eventual death. Some of the footage shows two officers arriving at the scene around 8 p.m., removing a man later identified as George Floyd from a car parked on the street, handcuffing and questioning him before eventually walking him across the street as another police car arrives.

Ya It looks like the police where being really Patient with them when they took them into custody and then tried to put him in the car and then he kept refusing and it looked like he kicked one of the officers, as he was getting put into the back seat, so that might have been what escalated everything he, should have just got in the back of the police car and none of this would happen!

Police officer would have never left the other 2 people unattended while they walk someone in cuffs across the street to a different location, one of police officers would have stayed with the other 2 people. The key to the intro is that out of the 60 minutes obtained, they choose to show 5... "some of" the events. You need the longer versions of the dashcam footage to show just how George hysterically resisted arrest from start to finish. He was yelling he couldn't breathe before he was ever on the ground. The cops patiently tried to guide him to come quietly but he taunted them relentlessly. I don't believe any of them wanted him dead, just subdued. They didn't know he was stoned with an enlarged heart. The fact how this all was portrayed as racism without anyone knowing that it was, is a huge red flag of an agenda. And not just racism of a cop or two, but of all cops, all whites, all americans... in the least racist country in the world. Read between the lines and look for the real story behind the story.
I think no matter how much a person in handcuffs resists, killing them is unacceptable.

The moment Floyd was unresponsive, clearly enough so that people standing there were pointing it out with concern.... And the officer continued to kneel on his windpipe, it stopped being about arresting or resisting. Then it became about dominance and punishment. Punishment is not a cops job, that man was innocent. Every suspect cops arrest is innocent.
I'll repeat that so it's clear... Every suspect police arrest is innocent. Until a judge and jury declare otherwise, every single one is innocent.
Before he was killed, they had Floyd in the back of the cruiser.... They then dragged him out, wrestled him to the ground, and cut off his air supply for 9 minutes...
And look around at the comments... Don't pretend this country isn't racist... We are one of the very few nations that ever had a civil war over race. The entire Republican/Democrat election maps flipped the year the civil rights act was passed. We had to call in the military just to allow a few black kids to attend school. When a horde of armed white men marched on the capitol of Michigan, Republicans cheered for them.... When a few black men did it in California, the Republicans passed restrictive gun legislation so fast the ink was wet when it hit the president's desk... The only time Republicans ever got behind gun safety legislation.
Pretending racism isn't a thing doesn't fool anyone, and doesn't help anything. You can't solve a problem by ignoring it.

Apparently Mr. Floyd's family released an autopsy report detailing asphyxiation from strangulation. Who did the original autopsy? Why are they covering for the police? That person is the same as those 3 officers who stood around and did nothing.

It was actually reasonable for the officer to not listen to the man who was clearly trying to get out of his situation by initially feigning pain. It back fired. The first thing that jumps out when reading the Floyd autopsy report: "No life-threatening injuries were identified". That is a direct quote.
And as hard as it is to believe, some of his own actions lead to his death as well!

the NYT stuff shows the Chauvin cop arrives, Floyd is being put in the back of the truck by the first two cops, one of those cops trying to close the door but struggling.. Floyd is a big dude. claustrophobic, heart condition, handcuffed... Chauvin opens the door, on the OTHER SIDE, takes floyd and pulls him out of the truck, face down and immediately puts his knee on his neck. That Cop was looking to straight up murder someone that day. Crazy.

21st CENTURY AND CAMERAS STILL RECORD WITHOUT SOUND...
Because there are states that are considered two-party consent states, meaning that both parties involved must consent to having their audio recorded. You can't just record someone's conversation against there consent in many occasions.
Security cameras rarely have sound. Read a book!

We need solutions, not riots or blaming racism for the inner city black issues. Besides better police training, how about mandatory badge cams for every officer. Already done in many depts and the cams are not expensive. That way we have a record of what happened. We need to cops but we need them to act appropriately and fairly. They blew this situation badly and we see the result.

That means that the excessive force used by Derek Chauvin was the cause of death (paired with restraints, the position he was lying in and the knee which contributed to possible asphyxia).

Fentanyl causes hypoxia, and that combined with a knee on your neck for a slight period of time is what killed him. Hypoxia is basically a symptom of fentanyl where your brain cannot absorb oxygen easily. Don’t conflate your bias into a trial, especially considering it would have ended long ago. It doesn’t do anyone any good.

No reason to be condescending by saying “check out the trial,” i don’t know if you are watching the clips or the the trail itself. You said the prosecution is getting ripped apart or it’s proven, but against all common sense the trial would have ended. Please utilize evidence instead of just confirming to your bias when it comes to the outcome of your trial.

I think we're all just trying to figure out how he ended up getting arrested and then lying face down in the street in the first place, and it sounds like drugs were involved, in addition to a cop who shouldn't have been a cop in the first place.
