Coming from someone who used to work in the auto industry, if I may suggest also grab yourself some of the 3M adhesive promoter and apply it to the frame or wherever you want to place one of those light strips. Clean with rubbing alcohol, apply the promoter, let the promoter dry for a minute and then apply the light. Be careful though because you want to make sure it is exactly where you want it before sticking it. Had to use that on my wife’s tri-glide. I did it without that promoter on her freewheeler that she had and the zip tie pad and light started coming off and rubbing against the tire.
I like this kit a lot. I currently have Custom Dynamics ProGlow system on my bike (just the accent lights) and I installed their trike kit with a few mods for the wife’s Tri-Glide as well as their ProGlow halo headlight and auxiliary lights. Theirs does the breathing mode and strobe mode but also chasing and a lot of stuff through the app on your phone. This kit you are showing has a lot more light strips that go with it. For example CD’s kit only has a 12” strip for the bottom saddlebag rail but nothing else around the back of the bike and nothing in the front fenders. They do have pucks though for your calipers that illuminate the front wheel
Andy suggested using it too but we didnt have any at the time...well..I did but it was a tube and it was hard lol but thats a great tip...Ive used it on several projects and you are right..you better make sure you have it where you want it, because its stuck!
Yeah my SG has the Shock and Awe kit with kind of the same thing..the app does a ton of stuff. Stuff that is fun to use but like most people I never use it...just pick a color and leave it on that. I like the ciro front wheel strips that connect to your fender bolts so you dont have to worry about wires up in your fender. I have seen the pucks before but never have installed a set of the CD ones. Had a set here in the shop that where only red and the guy never had them installed before trading the bike in an orange bike, so the red was out lol
Hi Steve, Do you have video clips of complete install of this led kit? I like the long detailed videos. Sometimes they help by seeing what were I thought I could or couldn’t run something. You showed I could or couldn’t. Thank you,
Hey Ken...i sure dont man I actually cut the camera on this one because of the amount of time it took to run everything it would have been a 3 hour long video lol but I agree, im the same way on most videos I watch.
There are certainly more lights to this kit and the price is a little cheaper. You dont get the app with this kit but honestly I dont think ive opened the shock and awe app more than 3 times just to play with it..you can change colors and make it do what you want through the button. They are equally as bright as well.
Brand spanking new follower here from the Lone Star state brother! Love your content and delivery of info/tips. Definitely have the wheels turning on some upgrades. So…solid 2 hours into your videos and pricing out/planning. IF you’re able to answer this, (and in the voice of the great Borat) “very nice, how much?” Also, do you know if the Dash accent lights from Ciro are discontinued? Thanks in advance big fella!
Hey john....I appreciate the support! Glad the videos are helping you get a game plan on your bike...I really cant say how much the lights are for your bike as its a custom fit...once you contact him he will help you decide which lights you need or want and then the price will go by that. And im guessing they did because I dont see the lights for the dash now either. When I re did my bike in a new color I didnt add them back to the fairing. I liked them but they were bright and sometimes at night a little too bright and I ended up turning them down pretty far with the app. If you have any questions on anything please just et me know...I check this everyday and ill help the best I can.
Thank you Steve, my kit coming in Monday. I did hate hiding the rats nest of eBay kit wires in my ABS side cover. I do like a super clean install. I won’t my bike to like factory wiring. Make it easy to work on later. Weither it’s me or All American Cycles etc
Yes..always think about the next tech working on your bike ..you can bet they will charge u extra for the time to make sense of all your extra wires. This kit is super clean!
It makes a good selling point to customers that want led’s etc done. I try to do most of my own work. I use your videos to do so. I tried to find you at the speedway for bike week. It’s been 3yrs since I’ve found your channel and used your advice and I wanted to put a face to my name lol. Thank you again, I’ll send you pics when I’m done
Dumb question, are those the 4.5” stretched bags with the dominator fender? Thinking about doing it to my RG (a 23) but a little concerned on curbs and such scraping with stock suspension. Your thoughts? Something to be concerned about or not?
Yes it is..been running stretched saddlebags for years and never scraped. Its always a good idea to get the saddlebag skid plates though. My bikes have air ride and I run pretty low..been through ever curve in sturgis with no issues multiple times. My street glide has a 6 down 10 back bags and I dont scrape those either, youll be fine with 4.5"
hey steve quick question im getting ready to order the stretched bags. do the stretched bags match up with the stock rear fender extension i have a 2016 road glide
No they do not..Advan has the Stretched rear fender extension that will match up with the bags..its a direct replacement for the oem extension. www.advanblack.com/color-matched-rear-fender-parts-stretched-rear-fender-extension-for-09-plus-harley-davidson-touring.html this will match up to the bags
he builds them to your liking so you can leave out the headlight strip for sure..it really only works on this style headlight because of the flat space on there.
Hi Steve, Did you install led strips under your each side of your gas tank like the Amazon kits? Or, under the center of the frame over the rocker box covers?
@@kendocken5149 yes right down both sides under the tank..these are much longer than the ones in the amazon kit though..so they really light up both sides of the engine

I see a real Police problem with the Blue and Red lights…? In Canada it is illegal to run blinking Red and Blue lights for obvious reasons. When you set your lights to Blue and press the brake the lights turn Red. So, if you pump the brakes a few times the lights will flash Red and Blue just like a Police Bike? Is this a problem in the USA? Thanks for a good video. 🇨🇦
Here in Illinois it reads "auxiliary accent lights shall not be red or white or oscillating, rotating, or flashing lights". Thats why i never use the brake function..but I know a lot of guys that do and has had no issue..I just dont take the chance. everyone should check their local laws though. Peter, here in the US, it varies by state and some local laws. In NC you can have whatever color you want while parked but if your in motion you just can’t have red or blue lights on

How much they go for on avg for a set for a 21 road glide?
you would have to call him...I dont know.
On my street glide, I have the custom dynamics led light ring and an Eagle led head light. With my trim ring I can’t run the led strip.

coming soon..that was a sneak peek to see if anyone noticed that quick change out in the video lol
@sikbaggers lol good way to get me to spend an hour going through videos to see if I missed something.
Off topic but do you have any idea if Advan Black will be offering stretched bags for the new Street Glide?
The bags for 2014 and up will fit the new 24.
Yes they will..it will take some time though.
the bags themselves fit on the bike however your 14 to 23 lids will not. the bags are wider at the top so the lids will not transfer over.
Hey dont know if you can answer this but will 114 jugs and pistons work on my 107 or will i need new pistons
Oem 114 pistons wont work on the 107 ... the piston pin location is not correct
