For some reason whenever I copy and paste it there’s never a second one underneath😭 It always shows the new layer being made in the layers panel but even when I hide every layer except the new layer it doesn’t show up
I do not think you can copy and paste on the same layer. CSP always makes the copy on top of the original so if you put the copy on top of the original on the same layer you will not be able to seperate them. That is why CSP puts copy on new layer so you can move it where you want it and not mess up the original.
@@HermitComics i know, but. its really useful when you encountered animated projects when you lazy to draw and just want copy and paste with the previous frame. just place it there only by copying area that you selected and pasted it into a frame that you want without adding new frame
Its still the same just the icons look different. Use the selection tool to select what you want to flip; click the icon that looks like a square; on the right hand side under tool properties click the icon that looks like two triangles facing each other.
for some odd reason the flip button isnt on the left side or nowhere can be seen i need help if theres a button to how the option that would be great please
you can do it two ways: you can hold [Shift] and click each layer you want to copy and then [Ctrl+C] to copy and [Ctrl+V] to paste all the layer. This will create copies of all layers. Or you can create a folder and put all the layers in the folder then [Ctrl+C] to copy the folder and [Ctrl+V] to paste the folder with all the layers in it. Is this what you want?
i need more help i couldnt get 2 seperate papers it kept denying the second part to move and will only let me move the original but wont keep the copy :C so CONFUSED!!
Yes, the bottom layer is called "paper" click the eye so it goes invisible. now the background should be transparent. you can now go to [File] -> [Export] (Single Layer) -> [.png] let me know if this helps.

My copy and paste was working but then it started derping out. Now when i copy it shows the image in a new layer but the copied image is invisible on the canvas. The layers are not set to invisible; do you know why it started doing this?
This is just the way CSP does things. Copies are always made on top of the original so it would not work if a new layer is not created. You can always merge layers after you move the copy where you want it.
it seems CSP removed them with the update that followed this one. You can do it the old way with Ctrl C then Ctrl V for copy paste see here: ua-cam.com/video/FWmshHd1kbU/v-deo.html or you can click the last icon on the launch bar -> [Edit] -> select Copy - > click "Add" and do the same for "Paste" then they will show up on the launch bar.
@@arikaaa69 The lasso tool is always the 5th icon from the top (from the tools on the left hand side). It may look different if you used it before as a different sub-tool. Hi! I’m having problems when I copy one eye, I can’t make anymore edits on that eye I copied. Like if I’m trying to erase the original eye to make changes, it won’t budge anymore ?? Pls help!
The original and the copy are on separate layers. Make sure you are on the correct layer. If you want you can combine both layers to have one but make sure you do not put the copy on top of the original.
Nice useful tips, just having trouble with selection tool in CSP! There's one thing still bug me though: in CSP can I move the selection while dragging it like holding space in Photoshop. I tried but not worked :(.
I do not know the hotkey for that. The only way I know to move a select is to click the icon that looks like a circle with four arrows pointing away in the launch bar when you make the selection. You can see me use it at 1:36

How do you bring the lasso tool bar back if you accidentally get rid of it . It's the tool bar from 1:10 . When I use the lasso that tool bar don't pop up anymore
What if you don't want to go through creating a new layer? A new layer is created without anything on it when animating, so there must be a way to turn off the automatic layer creation, right?
Nathan Powers i don’t think that is possible, but why not paste the image onto a new raster layer, crop it how you want, then merge it to the raster layer you want?
I do not think so. because CSP would not know where to put your copy. That is why it alway puts it on the original place but on a separate layer. you can move it wherever you want and then merge the layer together.
with one click? I know you can make "Auto Actions" in CSP but the problem with COPY/PASTE in CSP is that when CSP copies something it will always place it in the same place you copied it from. So when you paste it it will be right on top of the original; this is why CSP creates a new layer when you PASTE. After you move the copy where you want you can merge the "copy layer" with the "original layer"
on the very top left, on top of the magnifying glass there are two icons. one look like a pen the other 3 lines. Click the 3 lines and go to "Add initial tools..." Then select "Selection area" and click "OK." The selection tool should return. CSP originally calls it "Marquee" if you want you can right click it and click "tool settings" and change the name. I hope this is what you wanted. If not let me know.

I believe they removed it from the launch bar with that update but you can always add it if you want it. The last icon to the right lets you customize the launch bar.
WiREon I want to take one image and put it in another. For example, take a picture of a girl jumping and place her in a photo of a pool so it looks like she’s jumping into it. Can I do that with this tool?

To edit a picture that is imported into CSP you must first make it into a raster layer [ Layer--> Rasterize]. Once it is a raster layer you can then use the selection tools. Hope this helps.

@@ellsb282 you don't have to make a new layer. The layer where your drawing is on that is the layer you want to select. then press Ctrl+C then press Ctrl+V and a new layer will show up with your copy. let me know if this works.

try selecting the layer with your line art and do Ctl+C. then make a new layer and hit Ctl+V.

I think it copies only the layer you are in, is there a fast way to copy all visible layers and paste the resulting image in the layer you're in?

Try using hot keys. Make your selection, Ctrl+C, then Ctrl+V.
How to paste image into it from other apps?

How do you get rid of the border around the object you want to select? As in the line you draw to select something.
The icon that looks like a square with a slash line on it is the “de-select” button. Is that what you are asking about?

Can this be done without a new layer (why would I want a new layer if I just want to copy something...that makes no sense IMHO!)?

BUT HOW DO U CHANGE TO LASSO HOOOWWWWWWWQQQ
at 1:05 on the left side click the 5th icon from the top. Then on the sub tools look for "Lasso tool" it should be there.

Make sure you are on the correct layer. If you are on a layer with no drawing then you are moving nothing.
