I Am so thankful that I had The Opportunity to sing with Curtis on the song “ Just A Little Bit Of Love “ Which is on the CD “ New World Order “ I would have sung on this song “ New World Order “ but couldn’t make it to the studio . But I’m glad I got On (1 ) song . This is truly a great Album which was nominated for three Grammy awards. Curtis Mayfield a Awesome Writer,Musician, Singer, and Producer. Truly a very down to Earth Brother.

Curtis Mayfield the real king of black music
Curtis Mayfield was paralyzed from the neck down after lighting equipment fell on him during a live performance at Wingate Field in Flatbush, Brooklyn, New York, on August 13, 1990. Despite this, he continued his career as a recording artist, releasing his final album New World Order in 1996.

Never stopped listening to Curtis. Discovered him with the Impressions around 1964 when I was 17 (69 last week) and he has been with me all that time in his albums. Beautiful human being!

If I could go back to any day of my life, I'd probably pick the day I saw Curtis in a tiny, intimate club in England. Standing 10' away from the wonderful man, singing along to "It's All Right." I still miss him.

I think, Mr Curtis Mayfield was the epitome of cool. He was always so freakin cool. Miles Davis even made an album about his coming to this world called "Birth of the Cool". Okay I made the last bit up, but any mention of Superfly starts me off on how cool he was. I just adore listening to that 70s soul groove.
