- This video will show you how I built a RaceTrack themed Wall Display for my son's Hot Wheels car collection. Complete with bleachers and signs!
The design is easily adjustable to any size or patterns you like, and you can gap the columns to support Matchbox or other cars as well. The dimensions and parts I used are below.

Materials:
1 - 2x4 1/4" sheet of MDF (Home Depot)
3 - 1/2" x 10' J-Channel strips (Home Depot)
1 - baggie of Wood Strips (Hobby Lobby)
1 - baggie of misc wood pieces/letters/etc. (Hobby Lobby)
Paint and Brushes
Hot glue
Die Cast cars :)
I have the same exact story about my wife going to Target and me loving JDM cars and yes, they are hard to find now. Luckily we have a diecast specific hobby store here in Vegas! Good video!

Nice! My daughter is sort of a " master " wood crafter and makes me whatever display rack I need ( have room for 😂). Convenient 😉 Of course I gotta get the supplies 😂

What a great video. I noticed the same lack of Hot Wheels in all big box stores when shopping gifts for my little nephews. Thought it was just post holiday fever but its now June 2023 and Walmart, Target, even the Dollar stores are all picked clean. Oh and here in Miami are the prices:

hey, how did you stick the mdf board securely to the wall? just some nails?
I used a 2.5” drywall screw into a stud on each side of the board. (They hide easily behind the car’s packaging so you can pretty much put them anywhere the studs are spaced in your home) 👍🏼
