Would you recommend this only when you already have decided on a shot? I feel that I would have trouble hitting it hard enough to beat a defender if I opt to swing hard driven from that position
First off, your videos and content are great. It’s difficult to find detailed breakdowns like this for beach volleyball but especially undersized players My only question is, can you really generate enough pace on your swings with this form? Just seems like if you’re not drawing your hand back you want be able to come forward enough and generate the pace you need…I know you kinda touch on it with your max over spin videos but that was my first thought watching this is can you generate enough power on your swings this way… I’m on the shelf right now so can’t really go practice it lol
Hey Cory thanks for the positive feedback! To answer your question... YES, you can hit hard like this. The power generation is different and does not rely on your elbow unhinging. Instead it comes from your legs, your traps and your shoulder. The power generation is similar to that of a shot put. The power is applied UP, not forward.
@@425jweezy if it's just for shots, then having the elbow on the side is fine. The more power you want to add, the further back & down you need to pull your elbow.
Absolutely. Works even better for taller players. You just need to contact above the equator of the ball to push it down when you want to hit a down ball. Follow seain cook if you want to see how a guy way above the net uses this technique.
Great stuff again. Will try this during Fri OG games tmo
Lmk how it goes
I will try this new technique as a short player. Thank you.

@@menehunebvb preciate it brother!
So since the power comes up and over. It wouldn’t really help drawing your hitting elbow back? Best to start your elbow down and to your side?

These vids are awesome! Is this the same as the low draw bow and arrow? Or is it the circular
No this is like for a small circular motion. I dont like turning the palm out like with a bow&arrow swing.
Will you recommend this technique for taller players as well?

Best part of the video is from the 3.15 mark when the headless zombie runs across in the background.
Once again putting coaches out of their jobs!! Just make a masterclass and sell it already!
Thanks! Coaches around me think I'm crazy haha... oh well...
