Marty, I've been trying to learn that song since I was like 15. I tried many tabs in magazines and online over the years and I could just never figure it out. I can't believe you just taught me how to play it in 24 minutes! I guess it helps that I'm a much better, (but still crappy) guitar player than I used to be. Thanks! Now to go play along with the song and get it all down right.
Marty Music you're most welcome Marty! If you take recommendations, could you perhaps do Alive by Pearl Jam or Voodoo Child by Jimi Hendrix? Thank you in advance :)
It's not about learning riffs mate.. It's about the guitar.. I'ts about learning guitar.. And you won't never learn real guitar by learning some riffs..
Marty, you are one of the best guitar instructors I have found on UA-cam. You do not rush through lessons and there is no assumption that your audience knows everything already. So far I have made it through the first portion of this video with ease (still need to clean it up) and I am looking forward to learning the rest of the song. Keep up the great work you are awesome!
I started playing like 6 years ago. What a wonderful journey. I play for enjoyment now and can play with other musicians. Thanks Marty! I owe you a beer!
I wore out the grooves in my Back In Black album during my soph year of HS when this album came out. I'm now learning to play it nearly 40 years later. Marty, thank you. Every song I want to try, there you are. You make a big difference to this officially intermediate player.
I started learning 5 yrs ago you have always been my go to with any song. Music and having a teacher has helped me in many ways. I love learning covers but I have delved into blues Marty has helped with every bit of my progress. The way you break everything down and have two parts the original and easy way. Much respect ✊. And thank you.
Thank you very much!! One of those songs I just never got around to learning properly - so now I'll feel much less foolish when I get past the first two chords and realise I can actually play it now haha Thanks!
Thank you so much Marty , you are helping me lot. I grown- up listen to AC/DC , Black Sabbath , Ozzy, Led Zeppelin, early Pink Floyd, Iron Maiden , Deep Purple , I like to learn songs for these artist.
Jayson Sloane Whats wrong with later floyd? Id say they didnt tank too hard until The Delicate Sound of Thunder. A lot of people hate on the post '73 albums but Id say if they didnt get major popularity they would be right up there with Meddle and Atom Heart Mother
I just started trying to learn to play at 43 years old and this song is one of the songs on my "must learn" list! THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!! Especially the first part of it, it's so iconic and recognizable. I'll be very very happy with my progress if I can just learn the first portion on my new to me Les Paul. Nice thing about trying to learn new stuff when you get a bit older...you can (hopefully) afford cool shit like a Les Paul to start with, LOL.
I love watching your videos. I was doing this one last night, I'm just starting to learn to playing guitar, I think I have in proved some of my guitar tunes, I still have a lot to learn, but love watching your videos. Keep rocking man!
Protip for those of you, like me, who can't make the connection between the slow version of the very first part of the lick and the full speed: watch the very start of the video and set the playback speed to 0.5 and play along to it. Then once you get comfortable, speed it up a bit.
Well Marty,I'm 64 years young now, used to play a lot in my ,,,hmmmmmm,,,previous years, lol, but I enjoyed the hell out of rockin to this lesson of yours, it has brought back many years,,,,thanks!
Your such a great teacher.. not just teaching chords- but how you teach the rhythm 🥁 and feel for the beat, timing and dynamics of each song. Thank you Marty Music 🎶 much love. 🖤
Honestly, Marty, you're one of the best at explaining these songs and riffs on the web. I love it. Thanks so much for keeping me motivated and for all the tips!!!! Can't thank you enough. 🙏

I am learning this song surprisingly quickly because my mom said if I master this song on Christmas I will get 50 dollars but this is really fun and it's the first song I ever learned. So for a kid in training, I think I'm doing pretty good
You are very good teacher, thanks for tons of great lessons! This is my favourite one. I have never thought, that learning rock songs can be so plain and simple. Also, that would be great to have a tutorial for Queen's Innuendo. Especially, the Spanish guitar thing in the middle of the song. That would be awesome, thanks again!

Tom Ridgway ; Agreed! A Les Paul is no substitute for an SG! There IS no substitute for an SG, now that I think of it! Also, does his guitar sound slightly out of tune? Just one string...
Never played an SG as i don't like the strap button being on the back by the neck, but i noticed the tuning issue, especially when he played that D chord. It could just be the intonation being off, but since Gibsons/Epi's are known for going out of tune on the B/G strings i'm assuming that it wasn't perfectly in tune. Hell, my Epi LP hardly ever stays "perfectly" in tune but frankly i don't know any guitar that does haha!

There IS no substitute for an SG, now that I think of it!
Also, does his guitar sound slightly out of tune? Just one string...
Never played an SG as i don't like the strap button being on the back by the neck, but i noticed the tuning issue, especially when he played that D chord. I will take the Les Paul over an SG any day. An SG is just a thinner Les Paul for the most part. Too thin for me.
This is making me so happy. Sounds pretty sweet on an acoustic, who knew!
