Jan Why not use the bale trailer to pick up 200 bales at the far end of the field? Then drop them at the gate near the loader. Then reload the bale trailer, use the loader to add 7 more. That way the loader is always close to the gate and you don't need to walk long distances. Perhaps one strap on the front prior to pushing the back bale would be more secure. Possibly one strap over the back bale would be a good idea for long distances.

Would reducing the number of bails on the top by one reduce the impact. If the bottom has 7 bails, only put 6 on top, offsetting them by 1/2 a bail.

Hi Jan how’s the finger, I see it’s still taped up. On the AC compressor going, to fix that is more than just replacing the compressor and belt. You need to clean out the AC system, blowing fluid from the high side towards the compressor and probably replace other AC components. Need to pull a vacuum before recharging to verify there are no leaks. Had to do my tractor last winter after the same think happened to me,minus the belt frying. Thanks for another video

2:25 'the only concern is the front and back bales' - you could strap those down, which you should probably do anyway for highway transport. I would also be concerned about increasing the weight on the tires/wheels/trailer by 50% as I wouldn't think it would be rated for that, but I don't know the specs on the trailer. Good luck!

Was just the clutch locked up? They do do that. You can buy those clutches separately for those Sanden compressors. Otherwise, you have to buy the compressor kit, which includes the compressor, the o-rings, the expansion valve, and the receiver-drier. Oil, R-134, and the belt sold separately.

I had a Dodge dakota work truck that the back rims did that on as well. I never took it “ mudding “ and was it’s only operator. I used to keep a piece of flat bar under the drivers seat just to scape them clean. I am trying to guess how many bales you have handled so far this year I am thinking well over 1500? How many times have you stubbed your finger? LOL

Next time put a couple on top of the cab! 😆 As far as the AC pump, I feel your pain having to buy some parts and it's especially painful when bought at the beginning of cold weather.
I am trying to avoid a rotten gas issue cause I don't drive my car hardly at all. I made a route to drive for the 120 or so miles to burn almost all of it. It's within the city / nearer to civilization just in case I break down, which isn't likely but possible. The gas is about 4-5 months old. Next time I will buy just a gallon.

So 400 bales ÷ by 16 = 25 trips. 23 drops it to 17.38 loads. So does driving the loader down back and forth save enough money? Gravel roads are bad for accumulated dirt.

  • @nathanyoung7273

Can’t possibly save time. You’re loading bales, moving them, then unloading them and stacking them on top, then un-stacking them when you get them home. Plus using equipment in a way that it wasn’t designed to be used.
