The first thing I check, after a glance at the intake for problems, is battery voltage. With a multimeter this is a very quick check. Leads to the batteries and see what voltage you're getting. I get concerned with anything under 12, though it *should* start with a bit less. Pushing a car to the limits might introduce other issues, but in my experience with typical daily driver type cars, dead or weak battery is the most common cause of a no start. Also a good early check is listening closely when turning the car on, before you try to start. The fuel pump should be audible as it primes the system. A helper to listen through the filler neck can be useful.
I remember one day my '04 Miata wouldn't turn over, even with forcing some gas. So I sat on it for a couple weeks. That’s all nice and dandy but what about the 9-2x Aero that’s was on the driveway last episode!!!!
Very cool (and becoming quite rare) car but it really is just a WRX with a different body and interior
@@Grooove_e but is not though. I didn't buy a 2005 Subaru WRX. I bought a 2006 92-x AERO. See the difference?
Grooove e it’s the WRX with some STI parts and a better looking in my opinion front end and interior but very rare to come by.

“Kouki is the coolest!”
Zenki: *And they ask you how you are and you just have to say that youre fine, and your not really fine, but you cant get into it because they would never understand*
I personally like zenki's better but I still like a kouki
The zenki s14 is the better of the two, IMO. It just fits with the lines and aesthetic while the kouki looks like an aftermarket design
@@nathanzondlo7393 and the zenki taillights look so much better and flows way better than the boxie kouki taillights

Hey Zach!
You have a really good way of explaining stuff, I've been a mechanic for years and I still learn some really good stuff mainly on how you explain things.

Really like these very informative videos, I showed my daughter this just so she has a sense of what a mechanic is doing so it gives perspective. It is highly informative while also being very approachable.

Don't worry bro... even people on UA-cam can be wrong sometimes. In this particular instance, @ZachJobe is wrong. The USDM S14 Kouki frontend is only 50% of the best looking frontend that the S14 rocks here in the states. Zenki headlights and grill with a USDM Kouki front bumper... now THAT is the best looking combo-breaker out there for these cars. Ask me how I know. =)

Well you have to make a comment to get a heart so...
When you realize, he wrote ‘mo powah babeh!!!’ On turbo hose
Can we all agree on how clean Zach's S14 is??
it looks amazing. would love to drive/ride in it
He's in California - where people "restore junk yard cars" by putting a battery in them. 😂
I remember one day my '04 Miata wouldn't turn over, even with forcing some gas. So I sat on it for a couple weeks. Randomly felt like double-checking my spark plugs since I looked at them last year for grime (didn't check the gap). Turned out that they really needed to be re-gapped, and it started up fine. I'm glad my problem was that simple 😩😩
