Dang, what a candy store of go faster parts! I love looking at that kind stuff and dream of building a road course stock car but that's all I can do. There is a lot to learn here and I enjoy and learn from your presentations. As I have said before I built three Corvair road racing cars and raced vintage for a number of years.
Been there a couple times. Need to win the lottery and go back there buy one of those race cars. They had Too many wheels and tires at there old location in lakeside business park couple years ago so they put 4 old Robert Yates wheels with goodyears and interliners mounted on them out by the curb/mailbox to get rid of them FOR FREE!! Score! I grabbed me some of those!
I haven't seen his new shop so that's a good little tour you did. Definitely looks much better than his old shop when I bought my car from him. How's his new shop compare to SRI? I didn't have time to make it to him my last trip as I got caught up at SRI for longer than I planned.
When you said cut down on the lines, are you able to do that or is that done somewhere else? Can we get a video of the line fittings being installed as a how to?
I have access to a crimping machine through a current NASCAR team. I remove the fitting, cut the hose to length and recrimp the fitting to the hose with a new collet.
What a heck of a video!! That was very fun to watch! Now even tho he’s open to the public, do you still need to obtain a NASCAR license to purchase specific parts from there?
Chassis weight. I know weights are going to vary wildly depending on the era of car but it would be interesting to have weight estimates on: a complete car not bound to race rules rolling chassis + body no motor or trans rolling chassis no body, motor or trans bare chassis ( tubing ) with floor and firewall
Weights do vary widely. My truck is built to the 2015 / 2016 pre Ilmore SPEC engine rules, with no lead in it. It weighs right at 2720 wet without a driver.
Amazing! Thanks for taking us on the tour!
👍
Next time I'm in mooresville I'm going to stop there. Thanks for the tour.

Just looking at some of the parts there has been so much that has changed sense I worked on race teams in the 80's and early 90's
It's definitely an ever evolving sport.
I kist found and started watching your videos. I see that you stopped filming 7 months ago. I hope and Pray all is well.
👍

I prefer it over SRI myself.
I thought going to the U Pull is fun, now that would be one fun place to blow a ton of cash!
Cash goes quick !

No license needed.
If I ever get out to Charlotte I might have to go. Hm.
Stop by anytime during the week!
@@stockcarsurplus definitely will try to! I’ve got a few things here that would look nice with a parts on them.
Those modifieds have been there a long time. Too bad nobody near here runs them.
They were built in house, sold and won races in Florida.
Recently purchased back and being updated to run the Snowball Derby.
Could that KBM truck be raced in the truck series today and be competitive?
It could be with a body update.
Australia is a little far away, could spend some money there very quickly.
👍
As a Newman fan that would be sic to have his car, not that I'd know what to do with it!!!!
👍
Isn’t that ZL1 Camaro an RCR car not Hendrick car?
Could be, I didn't pay much attention to it. They ran both, the two I got from them and parted out were Hendrick chassis.

@@stockcarsurplus Thanks, this is way lighter than I expected.
Kurt Busch Penske 39 car.
👍
Damn, I could get lost in there for hours looking around and I don't even have a car that I could use any of those parts on! Thanks for the tour!
Glad you enjoyed the video!
Stop in and check it out!
