In SteamRangers December 2023 newsletter it states that they continue to make progress on 520's boiler. Work has been done on tubeplate testing, the smokebox, the firebox inner corners, boiler barrel and Oil Burner Holes. They have taken delivery of 520's new Blast Pipe. The volunteers are working very hard at completing the work and trying to railse funds. Members receive regular updates and one free ride a year on SteamRanger so it is beneficial all round to join!

Inside the cab photograph was 2015 & 2016 & the locomotive at Fidlers Lane was taken 2021. I'm not sure what will be running for RailFest I'm sorry. In their December 2023 newsletter it says Rx207 is operational.

The amount of money required to bring back 520 to steam is so prohibitive it is doubtful that it will be done within the next 10---12 years
