  • Islamic banking and finance is a system of banking that is based on the principles of Islamic law (Shari'ah). It is a fast-growing industry that has seen tremendous growth over the past few decades. There are now hundreds of Islamic banks and financial institutions operating in countries around the world. The key principle of Islamic finance is the prohibition of Riba, or usury. This means that Islamic banks are not allowed to charge interest on loans. Instead, they must focus on profit-sharing arrangements between the bank and its customers. This allows both parties to share in the risks and rewards of the investment. Islamic finance also requires that all transactions must be conducted in a fair and transparent manner. This means that there can be no hidden fees or charges, and all contracts must be clear and unambiguous. Finally, Islamic finance prohibits investments in businesses that are considered to be harmful to society, such as gambling, alcohol, tobacco, and pornography. By adhering to these principles, Islamic banking and finance offers a ethical and sustainable alternative to traditional banking. This video explains the seven major Islamic banking principles.

Tell me a better system than this. You can't.
God created us and left us a manual instructions. Everyone who follows it will have success. Everyone who takes way other than it will not have success.
Why would we come up with another way if our creator himself has told us the way? Doesn't he knows us better than ourselves?

Fortunately, many of the Islamic banks are following Shariah Principles. You need to look at the Shriah Committee of the Bank, before you choose one.

Because Insurance companies use the money secured as investments which includes investing in stocks, bonds and others. (They are in two businesses one, selling insurance products and Investments)

Insurance companies are basically betting that your car for example won't crash, and betting that the the money they would have to spend on such future things will be less than a certain amount, that's called gambling.

These commentators do not understand the insurance business. Insurance companies do not bet. They measure the expected loss parameters for various classes of drivers and set premiums to cover that cost and their profit. They are able to pass on the benefits of risk pooling to their customers.
I have to laugh when I hear Islamic scholars say insurance is gambling. Gambling is pursued by people who like the thrill of risk - this we call risk preference. Purchasers of insurance do not like risk; their behaviour is the opposite of gambling - risk aversion.

@@roberthannah7983 Insurance companies business model is based on gambling.
One of the sides wins the money based on chance.
this type of transaction is forbidden and that is why any insurance model is forbidden in islam.

Allah(Sallallahu Wa Ta'ala) so much serious and concerned, about the RIBA. it is a war against to ALLAH (Sallallahu Wa Ta'ala) .and there is no ijma, among the renowned Ulama - e - Karams and the majority of the Islamic Scholars, about the Islamic Finance Housing Mortgage. It is a back door RIBA. which are Presented, with the sweet names of, "Murabaha". " Musharakah". " Mudarabah"...??? If anyone, who doesn't care about the RIBA.??? than he should have to, be prepared for the Consequences in the judgment day. It's not a tea party, it's a extremely horrible day.Astagferullah.
