La belle tradition française du violoncelle, merci Gautier Capucon, au plaisir de vous entendre et de vous réentendre
La vraie tradition française c'est de se vanter dès que l'on puisse le faire. La famille des violons est italienne. Les français à l'époque baroque préféraient la viole de gambe (aussi plutôt une invention italienbe) et ralaient contre la musique italienne du violon. Après cette défaite du goût musical total les français ont effectivement produit quelques violincellistes illustres, mais quand je pense aux plus célèbres au niveau mondial la plupart viennent d'autres pays. Aujourd'hui, les violincellistes français se perfectionnent en Allemagne. La vraie tradition française c'est saisir chaque occasion pour imaginer qu'on est les meilleurs. Cette idée fausse amène directement à Waterloo et la ligne Maginot.
@@vivaldesque Notons quand même Tortelier et Fournier, que l'on peut mettre au sein du panthéon des plus grands. Sinon, je suis assez d'accord: ce chauvinisme violoncellistique me sort par les trous de nez. Piatigorsky, Rostropovitch, Janigro .. d'immenses bonhommes pas passés par "l'école française". Je reste tout de même ébahi par les deux premiers que j'ai cités.
Quant à G. Capuçon, je n'y arrive pas. Son vibrato est rédhibitoire chez moi, il me donne le mal de mer. Il va presque toucher les notes au-dessus et au-dessous. En plus, tout ce que j'ai entendu de lui sonne pareil: même type de son. Décidément, pas ma tasse de thé, même s'il faut lui reconnaître un jeu techniquement en béton armé.

Fournier avait un jeu nuancé et subtile et une expression musicale très naturelle. Tortellini avait un jeu majestueux et puissant. Je suis plus fan de Fournier que de Tortelier mais les deux étaient de grands musiciens ! 🎶
En me relisant j’ai trouvé que ce que j’ai écrit était un peu dur mais c’est vrai que je supporte très mal le chauvinisme ! 😅

This is my favorite one. Isserlis and Rostropovich play it great, but this is the only recording that capture the true dissonace and grit of the piece.
