That's the same thing in the Bahamas, even if the child was born there with parents from another country they are not considered a Bahamian

I am glad u get it work out.. cause same process in the British virgin Island.. if a child born here in the bvi they av to get passport from where ur originally from cause they not a bvi citizen until they 10 years u av to apply for that child right I know how u guys feel.. its 1,025us to put a child on ur time here in the bvi

Yes, because in the past people abuse the system by having anchor babies as students and those on work permits . With the hope that it would allow them to obtain citizenship later down then.line at 1980s mentality. I think people need to check out the laws these days before they embark on their intentions.

You first need to get a job,after which hour the workplace is responsible for getting the permit for you. That cost is not on you.

Cayman is link to British laws I think they will do that in the UK as well depending on your situation but everything that happens in our lives as a purpose let God be your source and you do your part be strong guy UK home office told me to go back to Jamaica whit me and my son and God step in

I went there in 1985 spent a lot of years going and coming stayed on time.i was a supplier of food stuff to the Supermarkets. I got pregnant 3 times while going there but knew better not to have any of them there because i knew there laws like a book .You are blessed that you are able to even be there as a family because first time you could only visit on time. So something did change
It was mu little home away from home.i now live in the USA

Let me add, your case is different from mine, but for me having my boys here, their Father is a Status holder, so automatically,my boys get, their Status, insurance etc. But we have to do DNA first. But I'm happy things has worked out for u.
Yes things are different when one party is a status holder or Caymanian,also you can not get a permit without a job.
But if u both r married both ur paid can combine and reach the goal.

Does the baby girl have a cayman birth paper?
She has a Cayman birth paper,but that doesn't make her a Caymanian.Although born in Cayman, kids are not considered to be Caymanians unless one or both parents are Caymanians. Hubby and I are Jamaicans,hence our babies have taken our nationality.

Our Immigration Laws are very strict and anyone thinking to have children here should do their research beforehand and there will be NO SURPRISES!!
Yes it is .To be honest,we did not think the base salary would have been a problem.We actually thought that the amount of monies he got per month was what would be taken into consideration. Based on hubby's proffession, overtime is mandatory, so there was no given month for the past two years or more he didn't meet the required salary ,the amount made actually surpasssed what was required to add an additional dependent.Alot of persons in Cayman are paid by the hour and 'Overtime' makes up a considerable amount of their pay.Once sufficient proof is submitted to prove that persons are making X amount I think it should be taken into consideration. We are grateful for the outcome.God is good our family is together ❤️.
Ps.We are glad we did not know the intricacies of the law before hand because our daughter completes us❤
