I just saw Eberth Santos vs Leandro Lo and it's sad to say that in 2016 this 7 year old fight between these guys is a lot more inspiring.
For some reason I just keep coming back to this match.
Two great grapplers...
Great defense and threatening offense the whole time! Entertaining as hell!
Bill tapped to that armbar, both guys play a good inverted guard, the tornado sweep that Cyborg did and the sweep Cooper did when Cyborg passed which led to the bow and arrow was high level jiujitsu, Gordon runs right through both of them which shows you how good Gordon is
there was a definite tap at 8:50 lol
That man changed 3 different colors during this match. Hell of an effort! Great job on both!
that set up at 1:38 was mad slick
Indeed
didn't he tap from that armbar?
i saw that
Yup, definitely.
I thought he did too
Watch Tito vs Sonnen Tito ended up winning.
He was about to but he didnt make actual contact with the tap so technically no
That's awesome
Cyborg stalling hard at the end.
That counter to the over under pass was sick
Right? I had to go back an rewatch it a few times to figure it out
Think he shouldve switched to the armbar when he caught the arm in the bow n arrow attempt
Is that you, Dan Severn?😲
that dude tapped hard to that armbar, then kept goin coz the reff didnt see the tap and cyborg loosened the sub and could continue
I thought he tapped as well
Didn't look like he loosened it at all, really.
Que luta.
their gis are the same color
I think if Bill did not go to the arm bar. He chocked him what you think ?????
Legit Tapout=3 taps. Some referees might have stopped the fight. Sakuraba tapped twice to Royce's standing guillotine and Rickson tapped twice to Takada's heel hook.
He tapped once, not considered a tap
A tap is a tap it could have been stopped
Cyborg would would have been tapped out so many times if the opponent was a little bigger!
at 2:27 bill can just armbar him without throwing the leg over Cyborg's face, as long as he has the arm trapped on the other side. She should have let go of the bow and arrow and just put pressure down with his feet and legs while putting pressure upwards with his hip/pelvis. Watch this video if you don't believe me ua-cam.com/video/FH87ZPtuXug/v-deo.html
not to mention he has a triangle too if cyborg turns into him somehow
Great battle,
and great respect.
Great match, a true war.
TAP OUT IN 8:50 MIN CYBORG WINS EARLIER AND SUBMISSION
i saw it too
Bill is the man !
what happened?
Bill needed to have Each Lapel and He would have Submitted Cyborg
But because Bill had Both Hands on the Same (Left) Lapel He could NOT get the Submission
03:37 Mark
he had him in that bow and arrow, needed a bit more of confidence in himself
Sometimes the shot just doesn't drop in the basket. It sucks but it happens. Deep subs don't always get it done. I've spent a lot of mat time with Coop, and confidence is not a problem that he has. He's one of the only five American men to make it to the finals of the Worlds at black belt, and he's one of the best of all time at chokes. He had the first two darce chokes in IBJJF history, and he's bow and arrow choked several guys at the highest levels. It was definitely a tight choke, but I think it's a little bit underselling both guys just a little bit to say that Coop didn't finish it because of confidence. I say that with all due respect.
Idk i feel like his grip may have been getting fried.
