You mention there is no "step" option for the Neakasa. However your screenshot at 35 seconds into the video shows there is an option but it looks like it was sold out when you were getting yours. I just ordered one of these for their Black Friday deal and saw the step bundle is in stock so I ordered that. Looks like you can order the step separately as well. It looks like its a "litter trapping" step as well, so seems pretty cool!
14" is pretty high for an entrance. I know my chunky 12 yr old probably wouldn't make it. It also looks pretty small inside, but the fact that it is not enclosed wouldn't be an issue. All these automatic litter boxes are great until they aren't. Having a senior cat I always like to check his business to make sure nothing is wrong, any way to do this with this system? Thanks for the video
"All these automatic litter boxes are great until they aren't." Very true, as I just got done somewhat mentioning my reason for not bothering is the price coupled with that fact. I'd hate to see one after a year+ of use. Even litter boxes you scrub get poop/stains and what not soaked into the plastic, as plastic is porous, regardless how smooth it looks - and that fecal matter is getting imbedded into the machines body itself. That coupled with the amount of just gunky built up poop/litter on the sifter and every nook and cranny possible, would be super gross. Not even considering that the litter dust is definitely going to make its way into the electronics and cause havok eventually, regardless how tight the assembly is. For the price of such units I would expect them to last 5 years, but my guess is if you get 2-3 years out of one before its either too gross or having technical issues, its considered a win.
Thanks for the code! I just went to there site and ordered one! Good deal, better than Amazon! I have four cats and two litter robot 3s and one litter box in the bathroom. My one black cat, Tiki wont use the litter robots so i am hoping that with the open design she will take to it and then I can eliminate all scooping!
I'm a pretty lazy guy but the price tags (half a grand is insane for a litter box) for this kind of machine just isnt worth it to me. I don't mind the 5-15 minutes it takes to scoop every other day, and just change them out/wash completely once a week for each box. (multiple boxes) I also assume like anything regarding cat litter/piss/crap that over time stuff will build up, regardless how well designed they are. Even self cleaning ovens need a manual cleaning every so often... With the bulky size of the machines it just makes it twice the pain to fully douche them out when they need it, as you most likely cant just hose them down with soap/water, without water getting into the electronics.
The open top design alone makes this litter machine superior to all other ones. Open top means cat size are no longer constrained. And most cats prefer non-enclosed litter boxes and require very minimal to no training. The issue with the height is trivial, even a child can solve it... just use any object around your home as a step, boxes, wooden block, stack of old books whatever

What do you mean check his business? Of course you can check the waste bin any time. I agree with the height it can definitely been an issue.

great I really like this litter box
@@badtechExposed What litter do you use for this neakasa?
How has the large waste container work? How often do you have to change or do the "container shake" to settle contents?
Yes I find it settles pretty well because of the design, for 1 cat close to every two weeks to change
I am on the market of getting one. Do you prefer this over LR4?
I haven’t tried the 4, but I heard it’s much improved. So I think I would since it’s covered
Nice video
thank you!
Personally the stench from the litter box when it goes into cleaning mode is horrible…

@@badtechExposedI was so confused because it filled up in like 4 cleaning cycles and I was like how is this supposed to last 14 days lol

I clean mine fully every 3-6 months depending. Takes about an hour max
500 dollars???? omaiga
maybe one day if I make it to the first world
It’s $200 on Amazon right now, not kidding!

I actually don’t prefer the open top design. Both my cats prefer closed designs
It this the cat beheading machine everybody talks about?
No lmaoooo it’s not
I bought a robot cat litter like in 2015. also why? I should be meth up.
