Tiny story: I once said this to another creator who was sweetly sharing the same sentiment, and she kinda like... got offended? Lol. She had briefly said something like "perfect skin doesn't exist, everybody has flaws" (in a video not about skincare, it was a reaction video to crazy influencers, just to clarify) and I commented "I hope you realize how wild this sounds coming from someone with perfect skin! Lol 🥰💖. Seriously, your skin is so beautiful!" And she disagreed, then other commenters started attacking me for saying that in order to agree with her... like??? Okay sure, despite a really gorgeous complexion, she has some flaws, should I point them out to apologize?? I was obviously being hyperbolic to emphasize a compliment, which didn't contradict any major point she had, just a brief side comment she made as she was watching a video. I can't tell if people actually don't understand intentional exaggeration or if they are just looking for reasons to attack others for fun. Anyway, all that to say that if people here get weird and do the same thing, I got your back girl 👊 lol

James, you're the reason I started using Korean Skincare 2 years ago. My skin has never been so good. It's really helped my rosacea & sensitive skin☺️☺️ Edit: accidentally pressed enter before finishing my sentence😂
@kmdfs4433 I started off using minimal products to allow my skin to calm down, heal & build up a healthy skin barrier. The CosRx Snail Mucin Range is great & the Klairs Midnight Calming Moisturiser. The Duel Essence & Moisturiser from CosRx helped a lot. I introduced the CosRx Centella Water Toner after a couple of weeks. CosRx, in general, has phenomenal products for sensitive skin. I also stopped using makeup wipes & started double cleansing (on makeup days) using the Zero Balm plus another gentle creamy cleanser. I switched my sunscreen to the Round Lab White Birch as well. It's a brilliant, lightweight sunscreen for everyday use & works great under make-up. I used to skip sunscreen most days cause the supermarket brands would always sting, inflame & clog up my skin. They'd also feel quite heavy & oily on my face. I've been experimenting with other products from Round Lab & so far, so good. Tbh, I went off James recommendations, esp for Rosacea. I stick with CosRx, Round Labs, etc, cause the products work well & are very affordable, esp compared to supermarket brands. Hope that helps☺️
Paula's Choice is SO sticky I hate their BHA so much. I just use Stridex pads which are 2% Salicylic Acid & $4 at Walmart, the CosRx did nothing for me. The entire Atobarrier line by AESTURA is fantastic, even if it is pricey. And people, PLEASE beware when buying off Amazon and only buy from the official Aestura shop, there's so many fakes out there! Alternatively, just take advantage of Olive Young's sales!

I absolutely LOVE my Aestura cream. I also think you are paying for formulation and texture but it is worth it for me as I have drier skin. I am able to use it day and night as my daily moisturizer and it really sinks into my skin, layering beautifully under makeup as well.
As one of the people who used ceramide cream because they fucked up their skin… ah big mood. I still use it because for some reason having a baby has made my skin dry the hell out. I have been using Superdrug’s Me+ Ceramides Moisturiser and I found I much preferred it to Cerave.
I hate the cerave moisturizer - it feels like my skin is sweating underneath the cream pretty much instantly! I'm so happy I found the Aestura cream, it's so nice :)
Nah, loved Cerave cream. They just have the new Intensive cream with 5% urea, so moisturizing for my dry skin in the winter, with affordable price and everywhere. Whereas the Aestua cream is wayyy overpriced, CDN $45 for 80 mL. I'm not paying that price for a ceramide based face cream.
For estee lauder night repair try manyo bifida biome complex ampoule, sk2 I agree with James, (missha time revolution essence, secret key essence, and cosrx makes a good glactomyces essence as well) although from what I've heard none are as good as sk11. I'm too cheap to try sk11 so I couldn't tell you one way or the other, but the "dupes" have worked great for me! 😊 and for geek and gorgeous c glow it's already perfection and super cheap so I don't feel you'd necessarily need or find a better alternative (they make batches weekly so it's always fresh) but im sure there's great k-beauty vitamin c serums. ❤
Keeping an eye out for all these videos. You’ve inspired me to make my first order for some k beauty products but the choice is overwhelming and hard to pick what might be best.
I like the illiyoon ato concentrate cream over Cera-ve. I have eczema and I feel that cera-ve isn’t moisturizing enough. I’ve heard it’s a dupe for aestura cream but I’ve never tried it.
I remember when I tried the Aestura cream for the first time- literally just popped it out of the package and applied on a reddened spot I had just bellow my nose from dermaplanning I think. The redness went down significantly and its one of those types of moisturisers that would heal my skin overnight and the type of product that id cut open just to make sure ive used all of it. Just repurchased it again after trying different moisturisers- I unfortunately cannot let go of it. 😭🙏
Re: the Paula's Choice 2% BHA exfoliating liquid, PanOxyl released a dupe fairly recently! It's wayyyy more affordable, and you can find it in lots of drugstores which is nice.
Regarding bha 2% salycilic you need to try an italian brand " skin first" product named "perfezionatore cutaneo (meaning perfecting skin ). It is effettive just like paula's choice but it is so gentle , delicate and hydrating. Less pricey too. I love your videos ❤❤
That aestura cream broke me out so bad 😭 In comparison, i‘ve been using the cerave cream without any issues for years. My skin is combination and acne prone so that might have been the reason.

Hello James, thank you for those comparison! I'm afraid I have to disagree about the Paula's Choice BHA vs COSRX PowerLiquid. I used both : the later didn't do much for me but the Paula's changed my skin at a time when I had many pimple and blackhead. I have recommended again and again this product to many people that had the same experience than me. I think the COSRX is a little bit of everything, which is not necessarily the best thing for exfoliation in my opinion , I want to know exactly what's in the product and not mess around with many active. Voila 😀
I find The Ordinary Salicylic Acid serum is exactly the same as the Paula’s Choice SA toner. They both feel exactly the same, and even smell exactly the same. Not sure if there is any cost savings in them though, when The Ordinary only comes in one ounce serum bottles. Probably not really saving any money. But they’re soooo similar
Completely agree :) PC has performed miracles finally on my badly damaged and very very sensitive skin and I’ve also started my teenage son on it who has also got the same rare genetic conditions as me and has had no reactions to it and it’s got rid of all his thousands of milia and blackheads which were getting to the point we were doing to take him to a dermatologist with
Thank you! Okay so…this is so hard to do 😂 I think @@KellyDriscoll has a video on niacinamide free skincare! But because it’s in so much now….its so hard to find niacinamide free products!
@JamesWelsh thank you for the recommendation on where to find niacinamide free recommendations. I know! It's so frustrating that it's in everything because I have a sensitivity to it. 🙃
I would have liked to have your bullet points written left and right for the products. My brain fails to compare this quickly when just hearing it (especially with numbers for price/milliliters).
How’s the packaging for the Code glowkolor? My fenty balm has the same packaging and I hate it, releases the same amount of way too much product every time but the formulas great.
I'm not sure if Arencia is available abroad or not, but could you review it as well? I recently got a Hyssup serum sample and it's actually been very working on my dry and sensitive but acne prone skin.
I bought BHA power liquid based on your recommendation. It work on my facs like water. I can use it daily with zero difference. At list there where no side effects.
idk I love my summer fridays lip balm 😭 already have 3 and love them all i feel before the influencer era brands didn’t increase prices the way they do nowdays
The new Paula’s choice exfoliate isn’t as oily as the original. I haven’t found anything that comes anywhere near it that shrinks pores and has performed miracles on my sun damaged and acne scarred skin. Within a week of using it my décolletage and face were sooo much smoother and the bad scarring you can’t see anymore at all now. The k beauty alternative is nice but doesn’t actually have do anything noticeable to my skin at all
Does anyone know if Paulas choice changed their formula on their BHA exfoliant? My skin used to love it, I stopped using it for a while as I ran out now, I re purchased it but now it constantly breaks me out?
TOTALLY random question but did james review isntree scar patch (we finally have more Korean beauty products but ive missed my lessons bc i never thought id be able to buy them)
1:15 unnecessary mica had better be synthetic. We do know that mica is NOT cruelty free, even if the CF people ignore human slavery as cruelty. Why sacrifice human lives for absolutely no reason?
I dunno about any alternative to Tatcha. I suffer from eczema and peely, scaly skin on my face, from my Tretinoin, and the ONLY thing that soothes my skin, and eliminates my scaly skin is Tatcha. I’ve tried pretty much every moisturizer on the freaking market…Cerave, L’Oréal, Glow Recipe, Drunk Elephant, Lancôme, Laneige, Versed, Aqua Bomb, Biossance, Estee Lauder….anyhoo, you name it, I’ve used it, to get rid of my severely dry skin, but nothing works, except Tatcha. I wish there was something cheaper that works as good as Tatcha but I personally haven’t found it yet. I’m done chasing dupes. I have spent too much money finding alternatives, when I would’ve saved money just sticking with the cream, or skincare, that works.
can anyone recommend someone like james and robert but for hair care? im sorted for skincare and makeup but i need to lock in with hair care this year and havent found anyone similar yet! ty!!

Completely agree :) PC has performed miracles finally on my badly damaged and very very sensitive skin and I’ve also started my teenage son on it who has also got the same rare genetic conditions as me and has had no reactions to it and it’s got rid of all his thousands of milia and blackheads which were getting to the point we were doing to take him to a dermatologist with
Always love your videos. Please make a video on niacinamide free products! 🙏
Happy New year james 🎉❤❤
how similar is eastura to illiyon ato cream? 🤔 it's got capsules as well
Toddler is down for a nap and I really needed some Welsh therapy today! Thank you James! ❤
🥹🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Please do more, pretty please! Thank you ❤
More of these videos, please 🙂
Okay!
I would have liked to have your bullet points written left and right for the products. My brain fails to compare this quickly when just hearing it (especially with numbers for price/milliliters).
I literally just bought the purito toner AND the remedy lip balm because of you 😭😩 James I can’t afford ANYMORE PLS 😂
James.. I just placed an order 2 days ago to treat myself to some k-beauty/skincare. Now I'm suffering from FOMO😂
Damn it’s been a while since I watched you. You already looked good before, seems like you had a second glowup.
Just taking care of myself more 🥹🙏🏼
Any recommendations for korean retinol products? 😊
Ohhh COSRX do a great one! And in a few different strengths I believe
@JamesWelsh Thanks! 😊
How’s the packaging for the Code glowkolor? My fenty balm has the same packaging and I hate it, releases the same amount of way too much product every time but the formulas great.
Love this!!
I’m commenting to let you know I would love more of these! This was great! 🩷
Does anyone have an opinion on where the Illiyoon ceramide Ato Cream would fit into the Cerave/Aestura Atobarrier 365 Cream comparison?
I'm not sure if Arencia is available abroad or not, but could you review it as well? I recently got a Hyssup serum sample and it's actually been very working on my dry and sensitive but acne prone skin.
I bought BHA power liquid based on your recommendation. It work on my facs like water. I can use it daily with zero difference. At list there where no side effects.
“Everything’s viral all the f*cking time “ 😂😂 love James!
idk I love my summer fridays lip balm 😭 already have 3 and love them all
i feel before the influencer era brands didn’t increase prices the way they do nowdays
TOTALLY random question but did james review isntree scar patch (we finally have more Korean beauty products but ive missed my lessons bc i never thought id be able to buy them)
Whats your current skincare routine .
I am your subscriber from india
I use CeraVe because my super dry skin doesn't freak out with either the hydrating cleanser or the moisturizer. Im afraid to try anything else out.
Help, my eyebrows are non existing can you suggest an eyebrows growth serum?😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Ricinus oil, daily, and persistent for 6 weeks-6 months
You know I’ve been watching you too long when I immediately guessed you’d compare the cosrx bha pore liquid to the Paula’s choice 😂
Perfection doesn’t what ??😂😂 0:05
1:15 unnecessary mica had better be synthetic. We do know that mica is NOT cruelty free, even if the CF people ignore human slavery as cruelty. Why sacrifice human lives for absolutely no reason?
I know I'm completely off topic but I miss your videos on Neophyte Nails 😭
I can’t wait for niacinamide free versions of things 😣
I have spent too much money finding alternatives, when I would’ve saved money just sticking with the cream, or skincare, that works.
can anyone recommend someone like james and robert but for hair care? im sorted for skincare and makeup but i need to lock in with hair care this year and havent found anyone similar yet! ty!!
Abbey yung
@heatherLcharron thankyou!!
@Amy-fq6fd yw. She's the best of the best. She became a certified trichologist and is extremely passionate about haircare. She does makeup and skincare content as well but is largely haircare focused 🙂 DEFINITELY check her out!!
@@heatherLcharron I will!! tysm
I see the Welsh Twins channel James escaped to film your intro for you 😂🩷
😂😂
Agree to disagree. Paula's Choice BHA is the GOAT and never irritated my skin while the Cosrx felt like nothing
BETTER THAN PAULA'S CHOICE?! our only US hope?! ooh james, you're shaking the table! and it's only the second day of 2025!
totally kidding. i've definitely had hits & misses from PC. and cosrx is way more affordable to "miss" with.
Time to go add more to my Olive Young cart
This is me every day 🥲
and then gold. there's just gold in there. 😹
😂😂
Hi James
Not to sound thirsty, but James, you look really handsome in that sweater.
